The Audi Q7 Pricing and Specification Guide Valid from October 2009 A User's Guide This guide has been designed to help you tailor and price your Audi Q7 quickly and logically. At the back of this guide, you will also find information on CO2 emissions-based vehicle excise duty and other services offered by Audi, including Finance and Insurance. If you wish, you can also go to audi.co.uk and configure your Audi Q7 online. From the website, you can also access the Audi Channel player and see your potential new car in action on the following programmes: Drivetime www.audi.co.uk/AudiQ7drivetime Your Audi www.audi.co.uk/AudiQ7youraudi Table of content Introduction The Audi Q7 Engines Clean diesel Transmission quattro® Model details and prices Standard models SE models S line models Colour and upholstery Paint finishes Upholstery options Colour and trim guide Inlays Options Packages Wheels and tyres Audio and communication Seats Safety and security Interior equipment Exterior equipment Audi Centre-fitted accessories Audi exclusive Audi exclusive options Audi exclusive line Technical details Technical data Dimensions Additional information Page number 6 7 8 9 10 14 16 18 20 24 26 28 30 33 36 38 40 43 44 48 54 56 58 60 3 4 The Audi Q7 The Audi Q7 combines all the rugged energy of an SUV with the looks and high performance of a sports coupé. As the ultimate expression of quattro® permanent all-wheel-drive, it's designed to take you off the beaten track and beyond helped by a choice of highly-developed engines. They provide acceleration not normally associated with an SUV and efficiency that's even more remarkable. It's made possible by advanced FSI® and TDI® technology, which use direct fuel injection to make the most of every drop of fuel, and our new clean diesel technology, which you can read more about on page 7. But there's more to the Audi Q7 than the raw power of its engines. It also includes a redesigned front grille, new door mouldings and restyled bumpers with under-body protection, while its distinctive LED lights blend seamlessly into the new tailgate. Inside, you can now take advantage of the latest HDD navigation and entertainment system, which is capable of displaying exceptionally-detailed, high-resolution 3D maps. And with space for 6 passengers and up to 2,035 litres of luggage capacity in the rear, there's little room left for improvement. 5 Engines Petrol V6 3.6 FSI and V8 4.2 FSI All Audi Q7 petrol engines feature FSI direct-injection a unique Audi technology originally developed for the Le Mans 24-hour endurance race to deliver increased power and torque as well as enhanced fuel efficiency. The way it does this is, in theory, very simple. Precisely the right amount of fuel and air are injected directly into the combustion chambers, enabling the engine to `breathe' more easily. At the same time, electronics monitor the engine load and adjust the injection process. The result reduced heat-loss and increased output, with around a 15% reduction in fuel consumption and significantly lower exhaust emissions. Ideal for the buyer who wants a sporty, exhilarating drive without the drawbacks of excessive fuel costs or higher emissions. ® Diesel V6 3.0 TDI and V8 4.2 TDI All diesel engines from Audi are known as TDI. This impressive technology was originally pioneered by Audi in 1989, marking a departure from the noisy, fuel-thirsty diesel engines of the past. Like its FSI petrol counterpart, the TDI diesel engine is designed for power and performance, with low fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. All Audi Q7 TDI engines are based on the common rail system. Here, fuel is stored and kept at constant pressures of up to 600 bar, ready to feed a series of highly-accurate piezo injectors, which control the rate and point of injection. 6 3.0 TDI clean diesel Clean and diesel. The two words may not sound like natural partners, but our advances over the years have made it possible. The 3.0 TDI engine available in the Audi Q7 features two new technologies a DeNOx catalytic converter and AdBlue® tank which help to make it one of the cleanest-running diesel cars available today. The AdBlue® tank contains a biodegradable additive which is injected in tiny doses upstream of the DeNOx catalytic converter, where it breaks down harmful nitrogen oxides into plain nitrogen and water. This cuts nitrogen oxide emissions by up to 90 percent, meaning that the Audi Q7 3.0 TDI clean diesel quattro® already complies with the EU 6 emissions standard planned for 2014. 7 Transmission tiptronic The 6-speed tiptronic transmission system is a form of automatic transmission standard on all Audi Q7 models. The technology incorporates DSP or the Dynamic Shift Programme which aligns and converts the engine's high power and torque into both sporty performance and operating convenience, with crisp, fast gear changes, reduced weight and optimised gearshifting. In the `D' (Drive) and `S' (Sport) programme, the advanced electronics used in tiptronic respond efficiently to every driver input, helping to prevent unwanted gear-changes. The driver can override automatic mode by moving the gear lever into a tiptronic shift-gate, enabling spontaneous gear-changing for a sportier driving style. 8 ® Permanent all-wheel-drive It's the technology that has given Audi the edge on the racetrack ever since it was first introduced over 25 years ago a technology that delivers ultimate control whilst enhancing the sporty characteristics which make the Audi Q7 so thrilling to drive. It's called quattro® permanent all-wheel-drive. The principle is simple: in the same way that four brakes ensure better deceleration, four permanently-driven wheels deliver better acceleration and road-holding, pushing or pulling the car as needed, for a driving experience that's both dynamic and safe. In the Audi Q7, asymmetric-dynamic torque distribution continuously distributes drive power between the front and the rear axles depending on weather conditions, road surface and gradient, which increases flexibility for an enhanced, sportier drive. 9 Standard model equipment All Audi Q7 models have the following items of Standard equipment: Wheels, tyres and suspension 18 x 8J `6-arm' design alloy wheels with 225/55 R18 Y tyres Adaptive air suspension electronically controlled air suspension with continuously adaptive damping system for all four wheels which regulates ride height and damping automatically.
