6.5" Two-Way Pivoting In-Ceiling Loudspeaker CDT-2650-SC With insalled home theater systems becoming more popular than ever, Klipsch designed the CDT-2650-SC in-ceiling surround speaker to meet the market's demand for an enveloping audio solution that easily challenges the inherent limitations of fixed locations. Thanks to a new patent-pending gimbal mechanism, known as Controlled Dispersion TechnologyTM (CDT), both the high and low frequencies of the CDT-2650SC can be directed towards the listening area. The CDT-2650-SC features dual 0.75-inch silk tweeters angled opposite one another. The speaker's 6.5-inch polymer woofer can rotate a full 360 degrees and then shift 15 degrees in any direction. In order to deliver both rich, immersion surround sound and precise localization of individual effects, the CDT-2650-SC features Klipsch's Wide Dispersion Surround TechnologyTM (WDST). Careful alignment of two silk tweeters, angled opposite one another, yields an exceptionally wide dispersion pattern, delivering a smooth, broad distribution of sound ideal for every surround-sound format and for music as well as movies.
