Legacy product line In a class by itself during Hollywood's golden era, the A7 was the only commercially available theater speaker approved by the Research Council of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Originally introduced in the 1950s, the A7 became a mainstay in recording studios and audiophiles' homes as well as in theaters. The new Legacy A7 is a meticulous re-issue of this classic Altec speaker. Manufactured in the USA, it is true to the original in every engineering detail with one exception: more refined cabinetry.
