Product 1) Why should I use a headset telephone? Using a headset telephone is like using a headset, with all the ergonomic and hands-free advantages that follow. With its compact, all-in-one design, it reduces both the telephone and the headset amplifier on your deskÂcutting down on desktop clutter, while significantly reducing overall equipment costs. 2) Which headsets can be used with the GN 7100? The GN 7100 is compatible with any GN Netcom brand headset that is equipped with the GN Netcom QD (Quick Disconnect). 3) When should I recommend the GN 7100 as a solution? Call centers and telemarketing offices that are using predictive dialers will find the GN 7100 the perfect desktop telephone solution. With its low unit price, it is a cost-effective and flexible telephone solution, and more units can easily and inexpensively be added as the number of agents/users increase. Additionally, the GN 7100 is ideal for small office environments with an analog telephone system. Functionality 4) Is it necessary to use an amplifier with the GN 7100? No. The GN 7100 is an analog telephone designed specifically for use with a headset, instead of a handset. It offers sound-level protection by limiting the receive decibel level of incoming calls. Noise-canceling of the ambient room noise is accomplished through the headset. 5) How do I answer calls using the GN 7100? When you receive an incoming call, simply put on your headset and press the On/Off button on the GN 7100. The on-line indicator lights, indicating you are on a call. Pressing the On/Off button again will end the call. The on-line indicator goes out and the display returns to the current time of day. 6) How do I place a call using the GN 7100? To place a call, put on your headset and press the On/Off button on the GN 7100. The on-line indicator lights and you will hear a dial tone. Dial the phone number. The display shows the number dialed and then changes to show the elapsed time of your current call. Pressing the On/Off button again will end the call. The on-line indicator goes out and the display returns to the current time of day. 7) What information is available on the display? The 12-digit LCD display shows the current time, last number dialed, length of the latest call, and contents of the memory buttons.
8) Is the GN 7100 cordless compatible? Yes, the GN 7100 can be used with the all GN Netcom wireless telephone headset products. Plug the wireless unit's telephone cable into the modular plug for the Quick Disconnect (QD) headset cable. Next, plug the Quick Disconnect cable into the bottom of the wireless base unit in the handset port. Follow the set-up instruction located in the wireless User Guide to complete the installation. 9) What does the 12/24 button do? Pressing the 12/24 button temporarily displays the time of day in the 24-hour format. Once the button is released, it will automatically return back to the 12hour display. 10) Can the Flash key be used for more functions than to terminate a call? The functionality of the Flash buttons depends on the PBX or the network. Some of the most common uses are Call Waiting, 3-Way Calling or transferring a call. 11) What is the availability of the GN 7100?
