CT-1 Copythis Frequently Asked Questions Q.) What is the difference between the CT-1 & CT-2? A.)CT-1 (CopyThis) was designed for transferring VHS to DVD or VHS to VHS. This product is less expensive next to are CT-2 product for consumers only needing to transfer their home VHS library onto DVD. Q.) What is the knob on top of the CT-1? How do I use it? A.) This is the video output level adjustment. This knob will adjust the video output brightness. Turn the knob clockwise for a brighter picture. Set the knob halfway for normal video operation. Q.) What should the video input lights on the unit do when I record? A.)These lights indicate the video level of the input signal. It is normal for the lights to fluctuate on different scenes on the tape. Q.) The unit gets warm during normal operation. Can I leave it plugged in at all times? A.) It's ok to leave the Ct-1 Plugged in at all times. The unit will get warm to touch but not overheat. Q.) The unit will not turn on? A.) If the power light is not illuminated it is probably a bad AC adapter. Verify you are using a working AC outlet. If the outlet is working properly contact Sima for a replacement adapter. Q.) When I connect the CT-1 I do not get a video picture? · · · · · · Are any of the video input lights on? If not, there is no video input signal. Make sure on the recorder and TV the correct line input mode is selected. Be sure the the input & output are the same type composite to composite or s-video to s-video on the CT-1. The output of the player in connected to the input of the CT-1. The output of the CT-1 is connected to the input of the recording device. Most important refer to are diagram again to be sure all the inputs & outputs are correct. Q.) Why is there only one video cable included? A.)When connecting the CT-1 between your playback & recording device and assuming you already have one set of cables on hand now in your current hookup. Only 1 cable is necessary to complete the setup. ...
