Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

CT-200 questions Frequently Asked Questions Q.) Why does my monitor display (COPYRIGHT PROTECTED) even after applying the GoDVD to my hookup? A.) Go over all your connections. This is a result of the GoDVD hooked up incorrectly. Refer to the hookup diagram in the manual. Q.) When I press PLAY on my VCR that is connected to the GoDVD's input, sometimes the color of my video is off (Smurf like). What is the problem? A.) Some vcr's take a short time to get the tape up to speed, which can cause the GoDVD! to improperly detect the color signal in your video. If it happens once in a while, you can simply press the video input select button twice and the problem should be fixed. This lets the GoDVD! synchronize on a good portion of the video signal. Q.) When I try to play a PAL tape from my family in Germany, it does not play in my VCR. Why? A.) Most VCRs sold in the USA only support NTSC (the standard used by USA, Canada and some other countries). You need a VCR that is multi-format that supports both NTSC and PAL (the standard used by Germany and other European countries). Then you can use the GoDVD! with this VCR as the GoDVD! will work with both NTSC and PAL video signals. Q.) Why is there only one video cable included? A.) When connecting the CT-200 between your playback & recording device and assuming you already have one set of cables on hand now in your current hookup. Only 1 cable is necessary to complete the setup. Q.) The unit gets warm because during normal operation. Can I leave it plugged in at all times? A.) It's ok to leave the CT-200 Plugged in at all times. The unit will get warm to touch but not overheat. Q.) What about the audio connection? A.) We don't have audio connections on the CT-200. This product only enhances the video portion. The audio can be connected directly from the playback output to the recorder input. There will be no lapse or timing difference between the audio & video signal. Q.) Can this be hooked to my computer? A.) This is not designed as a computer peripheral. Although with some capture programs it is possible to work. Sima only gives customer support for stand-alone equipment. Q.) Will you be coming out with one that has DVI, fire wire, or component video connections? A.) The CT-200 only supports composite & s-video connections. Q.) The unit will not turn on? A.) If the power light is not illuminated it is probably a bad AC adapter. Verify you are using a working AC outlet. If the outlet is working properly contact Sima for a replacement adapter. Q.) When I connect the CT-200 I do not get a video picture? · Is the video input light on? By pressing the switch located next to the light it should illuminate orange. This represents an s-video input. Depending on your input (RCA) or (S-Video) please be sure to activate the correct input selection. Q.) What is the mode button for on the side of the unit? A.) Select the desired video enhancement mode by pressing the Video Enhancement button. The button cycles between six enhancement modes starting with normal to enhance 1 to enhance 2 to darken to B&W to color bar. Q.) How do I know which mode I'm currently set too? A.) Look at the light on top of the CT-200. If the light is on solid you are in normal mode. If the light is flashing you are in enhance 1, enhance 2, darken, black & white mode and color bar mode. It is not flush with the outside of the case. For use in the USA leave set to NTSC. The unit comes set to NTSC.
