Installing and using Acronis License Server
The Acronis License Server allows you to manage your Acronis enterprise product licenses from a single location. It is recommended that you install Acronis License Server first. You will not be able to install Privacy Expert Agent and other Acronis Components onto the current or remote computer until you import the serial key into Acronis License Server. To install Acronis License Server: 1. Run Acronis Privacy Expert Corporate setup file 2. In the Install Menu, select the Install Acronis License Server 3. Read and accept the terms of the license agreement, then click Next 4. In the Choose setup type window, choose Typical 5. Click Proceed to install Acronis License Server After purchasing product you will receive serial numbers for license validation. It is recommended that you save these serials in a text file and place it in the same folder, where Acronis License Server is installed. You can import these serial numbers to the license server manually one at a time or import them all at once from the saved file. Acronis License Server includes a special command-line utility LicenseServerCmdLine.exe which allows you to manage license information. After the Acronis License Server installation LicenseServerCmdLine.exe will be located in the installation folder, e. g. C:\Program Files\Acronis\LicenseServer. To import serial numbers to the Acronis License Server: 1. After Acronis License Server installation run the LicenseServerCmdLine.exe in the Windows Command Prompt (cmd.exe). If you want to import all serial numbers at once type following command:
LicenseServerCmdLine --import-file [computername] [filename]

LicenseServerCmdLine.exe uses the following syntax: LicenseServerCmdLine [option] [parameter1] [parameter2] LicenseServerCmdLine.exe supports the following options: --list Displays the list of the License servers available in the local network --status [server name or server IP-address] Displays specified License Server status --import [server name] [serial number] Adds information about new license (new serial key). It is possible to specify multiple serial numbers at once (space separated) --import-file [server name] [filename] Imports all license serial numbers from .txt or .eml file --help Displays help information

Installing Acronis Privacy Expert components onto current computer

To install Acronis Privacy Expert Corporate: 1. Run the Acronis Privacy Expert Corporate setup file 2. In the Install Menu, select the component that you are going to install on a current PC (Acronis Privacy Expert Management Console, Acronis Privacy Expert Agent or Acronis License Server). 3. In the Specify License Server window, you should specify the License Server for license validation. It can be found automatically on the local network or specified manually (type in the DNS-name of the computer with Acronis License Server installed, or its IPaddress) In the Choose setup type window, choose setup type: Typical -- installs most common program features (recommended for most users) Custom -- allows users to choose program features to install and select a location for setup (recommended for advanced users) Complete -- all program features will be installed (requires the most disk space) In the Select Administrators Options window, choose Install for all users or Install for the currently logged-in user, then click Next. Click Proceed to begin installation.

Installing Acronis Privacy Expert Corporate onto remote machines
Using the Acronis Privacy Expert Management Console, you can install remotely: Acronis Privacy Expert Agent Acronis Spyware Shield Acronis Pop-up Blocker Acronis License Server To install any Acronis component to a remote machine, you will need administrator rights on the target machine. You can remotely install Acronis components only onto machines working under Windows NT/2000/XP (including server versions). Windows 98/Me machines will require local installation of Acronis components. If the remote PC runs under Windows XP, make sure the option Use simple file sharing in the Control panel Folder options View is disabled before the remote installation starts.

Acronis Privacy Expert Corporate
If the remote PC runs under Windows XP with Service Pack 2 installed, make sure that the option File and Printer Sharing in the Control panel Windows Firewall Exceptions is enabled before the remote installation starts. To install Acronis components: 1. Select the Install Acronis components button on the Toolbar or Install Acronis components from the main select Tools menu 2. Select the Acronis components you want to install (Acronis Privacy Expert Agent, Acronis Spyware Shield, Acronis Pop-up Blocker or Acronis License Server) 3. In the next window, select the remote computers on which the Acronis components are to be installed 4. If the Specify License Server window appears, specify the License Server for license validation. It can be found automatically on the local network or specified manually (type in the DNS-name of the computer with Acronis License Server installed, or its IP-address) 5. The Acronis components then will be installed to the remote PCs you specified 6. If you checked Reboot the remote computer(s) box during the component installation, the remote machines will reboot. Otherwise, you will see the corresponding message.

Components modification
You can modify features of the installed components. To customize component features: 1. Run the Acronis Privacy Expert Corporate setup file 2. In the Install Menu, click on the component you are about to customize. 3. Click Modify in the Modify, Repair or Remove Installation window. 4. In the Custom Setup window, click on the feature: Will be installed on a local hard drive -- selecting this option installs the selected component feature on your computer's disk drive. well as all features and subfeatures in the product tree below the selection on your computer's disk. Entire feature will be unavailable -- selecting this option removes the feature from your computer's disk drive. Click Next to apply changes.

You may want to save setup (.msi) files for each Acronis Privacy Expert Corporate component separately on a local or network drive. Then you will be able to install the components in the command-line mode using msiexec.exe utility. It also will help to modify or recover the existing component installation. To save a setup file: 1. Run the Acronis Privacy Expert Corporate setup file 2. In the Install Menu, right-click on the component name and select Extract. 3. Select location for setup file and click Save..

Recovering Acronis Privacy Expert Corporate components
You can reinstall Acronis Privacy Expert Corporate components if nesessary. To recover a component: 4. Run Acronis Privacy Expert Corporate setup file 5. In the Install Menu, click on the component you want to repair. 6. Click Repair in the Modify, Repair or Remove Installation window.

Removing Acronis Privacy Expert Corporate
You can remove any Acronis Privacy Expert Corporate components separately. To remove a component from the Control Panel: 1. Run Control Panel. 2. Select Add or remove programs. 6 Acronis Privacy Expert Corporate
Click the Remove button on the Acronis Privacy Expert Corporate component. 4. Follow the instructions on the screen. You can also remove Acronis Privacy Expert Corporate components in the Install Menu. To remove a component from the Install Menu: 1. Run Acronis Privacy Expert Corporate setup file 2. In the Install Menu, click on the component that is about to be removed. 3. Click Remove in the Modify, Repair or Remove Installation window.

Security parameters
Acronis Privacy Expert Corporate fully supports all security standards used in Windows: 1. If a remote PC has Windows NT/2000/XP OS installed, the Acronis Privacy Expert Agent can be accessed according to the security policy set up in the local network. To have remote access to Acronis Privacy Expert Agent, the user must be a member of the Administrators group on this computer. 2. If a remote PC has Windows 98/Me installed without its own security system, you will need to provide a username and password during installation of the Acronis Privacy Expert Agent that will be used by Acronis Privacy Expert Management Console. It is highly recommended that you create an administrator's account with the same username and password on all networked computers for remote access to the Acronis Privacy Expert Agent.

Acronis Privacy Expert Corporate uses the following ports and IP addresses for remote operation: · SERVER (ACRONIS PRIVACY EXPERT AGENT) UDP PORT: 9876 · · SERVER (ACRONIS PRIVACY EXPERT AGENT) TCP PORT: 9876, IF PORT NUMBER IS ALREADY IN USE, A RANDOM PORT IS OBTAINED CLIENT (ACRONIS PRIVACY EXPERT MANAGEMENT CONSOLE) UDP PORT: 9877, IF PORT NUMBER IS ALREADY IN USE, A RANDOM PORT IS OBTAINED 7
Acronis Privacy Expert Corporate
You might have to set the appropriate firewall access options. Options for the Windows Firewall, included in Windows XP Service Pack 2, are set automatically during Acronis Privacy Expert Corporate components installation. However, make sure that the option File and Printer Sharing in the Control panel Windows Firewall Exceptions is enabled on the remote computer before the remote operation starts.
