Use the HPS3P To Print Over the Internet! The Hawking HPS3P 3-Port Parallel 10/100M Internet Print Server is a powerful and convenient tool to connect your parallel printers to a 10/100M Network. Through its enhanced functionality, the HPS3P can support multiple parallel printers. The Hawking HPS3P combined with the Internet Printing Protocol (IPP) lets you easily connect to any printer and print documents by specifying the print server's IP address. With IPP technology, printing over a WAN or the Internet becomes much easier. You can send a print job to a printer in another country just as easily as sending a print job to your home or office printer. IPP eliminates the need for fax communications between offices by simply printing an original document over the Internet and sending it from one office to another without the degradation of image and text quality that fax machines produce. With the HPS3P, your printers become a fully functional networked print station. The HPS3P uses a 10/100M autosensing Ethernet port so you don't have to worry about what speed your network is currently using. Step 2 - Install the Drivers and Utilities Insert the setup CD into your computers' drive and run the setup program. Configuring your HPS3P is easy. You can use the Windows based configuration utility or configure the HPS3P via any web browser. Step 3 - "Add" it Simply run the Add Printer wizard and specify that you are printing to a network printer. For Internet printing, enter the printer's URL or IP address. Now you can enjoy fast Network printing from anywhere and from any application! Supports IPP Printing The HPS3P supports the Internet Printing Protocol (IPP). Using the appropriate software on your system, you can create an IPP print path from your Windows PC system over the Internet.
