FR-2LE V1.10 supplementary manual With the software upgrade of the FR-2LE to V1.10, the following functions have been added to the Disk and Setup menus of the MENU mode. Read this supplement together with the description of the MENU mode in the FR-2LE owner's manual. (1) You can now select the track mode between stereo and mono using the "Track Mode" item which has been newly added to the Format item in the Disk menu. (See page 93 of the FR-2LE owner's manual for details about the Format menu.) By selecting "Track Mode" and press the [MENU/ENTER] key, "STEREO" (the initial track mode) starts flashing and you can now select "STEREO" or "MONO" using the [+] / [-] keys. (When you turn on the unit, the initial track mode is always set to "STEREO" even though you selected "MONO" last time.) Newly added item Flashing : When you set the FS/BIT mode to "MP3-192", you cannot set the track mode to "MONO". If you set the track mode to "MONO" and attempt to format a disk, the popup window as shown right appears and the track mode is reset to "STEREO". : If you set the track mode to "MONO" and format a disk, only the left channel of the level meters on the display and on the front panel is active. (The level meter on the display looks like the one on the right.) Also note that only the left channel of the monitor outputs is active. (2) You can now view the memory card information via the "Disk Info." item which has been newly added to the Disk menu. By selecting "Disk info." and press the [MENU/ENTER] key, the manufacturer and model name information of the current memory card is shown (see the screen example below). Newly added item (3) You can now select the function of the front panel level meters using the "Level LED mode" menu item which has been newly added to the Setup menu. By selecting "Level LED mode" and press the [MENU/ENTER] key, the current level LED mode starts flashing and you can now select the mode between "Peak" and "Level" using the [+] / [-] keys. (The setting is memorized.) Newly added item Flashing Peak (default) Level The LED level meters on the front panel act as the peak meters.
