As a result it can handle more power. 2 3/4-inch voice coil The G5 uses an oversized 2 3/4-inch four-layer voice coil for extraordinary power handling. Interchangeable SPSTM (Soft Part System) A removable assembly containing the cone, spider, surround, and voice coil allows the user to add subwoofers while maintaining optimum overall impedance and full amplifier power. SPSTM also makes it possible to replace a damaged voice coil on-site. Single or dual 4-ohm voice coil versions G5 subwoofers are available in both single 4-ohm or dual 4-ohm versions, allowing the user to optimize the impedance load to the amplifier, regardless of the number of subwoofers used in the system. SureSetTM Using standard ATC fuses, the SureSetTM system allows for simple impedance selection (dual 4-ohm only) as well as momentary overdrive protection.
