Another Epson first the rangefinder digital camera This truly unique camera underlines Epson's dedication to professional photography. It combines the finest photographic traditions with the latest digital image processing to offer versatility and image quality. Mechanical shutter including a bulb setting an unusual feature in a digital camera Bright 1.0x viewfinder - easily capture the right moment whilst keeping track of the world around you Most M and L mount lenses are supported* Pure analogue photography meets the ultimate in digital imaging Epson is as passionate about photography as you are. With the Epson Rangefinder R-D1s, we've created a truly unique tool for passionate photographers by taking a traditional camera concept into the digital age to combine ultimate quality with unlimited control. A feel for tradition This camera has a satisfying, familiar, classic feel. The solid but slimline metal casing is moulded to fit your hand naturally. It gives comfortable access to the classic thumb wheel button and even has a manual `film winder' to reset the mechanical shutter. A place for digital flexibility We've integrated Epson digital flexibility in this camera. It can shoot on both colour and black & white. With its bright 2" `swivel' LCD you can preview and review images instantly, and you can use it to display the comprehensive, intuitive menus, which are navigated via the simple JOG dial. A wealth of control This camera gives you complete control. ISO settings range from 200-1600 and can be changed shot-by-shot, and shutter speeds range from 1-1/2000 second. A new world of possibilities The digital magic really begins when Epson Digital Image ARTist (EDIART) technology transforms optical information into an image file. This includes enhanced noise reduction, ideal for reduced light or high ISO settings. Files can be saved as RAW, JPEG or both, simultaneously using the s-RGB or Adobe RGB colour space. For RAW file development, Epson PhotoRAW 1.2 software creates a genuine digital darkroom, including features such as vignetting correction and the facility to create black & white photographs. You can even create files equivalent to 13.54 MegaPixels, for high quality enlargements up to 40x60cm. Epson A start-to-finish photo solution Epson maximises quality and flexibility throughout the whole photographic process. When combined with an Epson UltraChromeTM K3 printer, an Epson R-D1s user can create gallery quality black & white and colour enlargements that last a lifetime, on a variety of photo and fine art media.
