features which give the creative photographer enhanced scope. The color monitor on the back of the camera, which is based on state of the art LTPS-TFT technology, is another eminent feature: the generously dimensioned, brilliant and sharp display with a diagonal of 2.5" enables the photographer to compose the picture prior to pressing the release button and then assess the shot directly afterwards. For this purpose it is also possible
for several people to conveniently view the shot without glare from different angles, even when in bright sunlight. Additionally, the DC 8111 boasts an optical viewfinder. Natural color rendition of the images is ensured through perfect, individual coordination of the image sensor, lens, electronics, and software components. The user can enjoy creative freedom by selecting the manual mode for nighttime, sport, portrait or macro images from a distance of just five centimeters, for example. This is where the freely selectable apertures and shutter speeds deliver the required amount of scope. An automatic white balance ensures optimal exposure in varying light conditions. Four different flash functions enable perfect coordination of the shot to the ambient conditions. A minimal shutter release delay allows spontaneous snapshots whatever the situation. The SD card with up to 1 GB capacity serves as memory and the power supply comes from a Li-Ion battery. For a fast file transfer the DC 8111 has a digital USB interface. The scope of delivery includes the AC-DC adapter, Lithium ion rechargeable battery, SD card (64 MB), case, wrist strap, USB and video cable, CD-ROM and manual.
