Audi Q7 Quick reference guide Fuel tank flap To open: Press the switch on the driver's door. To close: Press the tank flap until you hear it click into place. Fuel and tyre pressures (see sticker) Engine oil The correct oil specifications and engine oil capacity are listed in the Performance, weights and dimensions section of the Owner's Manual. Warning triangle The compartment for the warning triangle is located behind the cover in the tailgate. However, it cannot replace the detailed Owner's Manual which contains important information and safety warnings. Please refer to your Owner's Manual for detailed information on your vehicle. You will find everything you need to know about the radio, CD, navigation, TV and telephone functions in the Infotainment/MMI Operating Manual. You only need to have the remote control key on your person. To unlock the vehicle: Take hold of one of the door handles or press the release catch on the tailgate. To lock the vehicle: Move the selector lever (on an automatic vehicle) to position P. Press the exterior locking switch e on one of the door handles. To open the tailgate: The tailgate will spring open slightly when you unlock it. To unlock: Press the button on the remote control key, or Press the button on the driver's door or the release catch on the tailgate. To close the power-operated tailgate: Press the button inside the open tailgate. Switching on the ignition/starting the engine On vehicles without the advanced key, start the engine in the normal way using the car key. On vehicles with the advanced key, you can start the engine without inserting the key in the ignition lock. To switch on the ignition: Press the START button down to the first stop. The glow plugs on diesel engines start preheating in this position. To start the engine: Press the brake pedal (on an automatic vehicle move the selector lever to P or N) and press the START button down to the second stop. To switch off the engine: Stop the vehicle (on an automatic vehicle move the selector lever to position P or N) and press the STOP button. If you press the STOP button again for at least one second, this will lock the steering. 1 Sitting position Sit in a normal upright position and do not sit too close to the steering wheel. If necessary, also adjust the position of the steering wheel. Adjusting head restraint min. 25 cm 7 To lower, press button p on the side of the head restraint. The top of the head restraint should be at eye level or higher. To move seat backwards or forwards: Lift the lever and move the seat. Then release the lever and move the seat further until the catch engages. To adjust seat height: Pull up or press down the lever. To adjust backrest: Take your weight off the backrest and turn the knob. First steps Air conditioner Panorama roof Switches for deluxe automatic air conditioner Left switches ­ left side of vehicle Right switches ­ right side of vehicle Temperature selection Blower speed AUTO Automatic mode Set the desired temperature and press the button. SETUP SETUP For calling up additional settings on the MMI display Air recirculation Circulates and filters the air in the interior of the vehicle ECON ECON mode Activates/deactivates air cooling B 2 1 A 0 The two roof segments are opened/closed separately when the ignition is on. To open/close the front segment: to Comfort position: Turn control position e. To open: Turn control towards r until the roof reaches the desired position. To close: Turn control to position . To tilt open/close the front segment: Briefly press/pull control in position . Press/pull the control and hold it to tilt the roof to any desired position. To tilt open/close the rear segment: Briefly press the appropriate symbol on or on the switch in the the rocker switch rear headliner. Press and hold the rocker switch to tilt the roof to any desired position. lane assist Audi lane assist The lane assist detects lane markings (e.g. on a motorway). If the vehicle approaches one of the lane markings, the steering wheel vibrates to warn you. The warning does not occur if you operate the turn signals before changing lane. To activate/deactivate the system, press button e on the turn signal lever. adaptive cruise control Speed and distance control 1 2 4 3 The adaptive cruise control is a cruise control with integrated distance control. To switch on/off: Pull/press lever u. To set speed: Press button t. To adjust stored speed: Press lever u up (faster) or down (slower). The adaptive cruise control will automatically apply the brakes as you approach a vehicle in front. To increase/reduce the distance: Press switch r to the right/left. Technology Multi Media Interface MMI controls and displays 1 Driver information system 2 1 Multi-function steering wheel Scroll the left thumbwheel to select a menu item in the driver information system. Press the thumbwheel to confirm the selection. Press the MODE button to switch between the active audio source and the navigation and telephone functions. Briefly press the button (talk button) to switch on the speech dialogue system. Speak after the , e.g. say to call up the possible commands for operating the radio. Press and hold the talk button to switch off the speech dialogue system. Scroll the right thumbwheel to adjust the volume. If you press the right thumbwheel, the last navigation cue will be repeated. 2 2 MMI operating logic The operating logic for accessing MMI functions is always the same. 3 3 4 MMI display ON/OFF button To switch on: Press briefly. To adjust volume: Turn. To mute: Press briefly. To switch off: Press and hold. B C 5 Function selector buttons Press one of the buttons (e.g. RADIO) to activate the desired mode. 6 Rotary pushbutton To select menu item on display t: Turn the rotary pushbutton. To confirm selection: Press the rotary pushbutton. To select: Turn the rotary pushbutton. To confirm: Press the rotary pushbutton. To call up the menu in a corner of the display: Press the corresponding button. Infotainment Storing a radio station 1 3 2 1 Press the RADIO function selector button. 2 Turn the rotary pushbutton and select the desired station. 3 Press the rotary pushbutton to confirm. 6 4 5 4 Press the control button for "Memory". The control button corresponds to the top left-hand corner of the display. 5 Turn the rotary pushbutton and select the desired memory position. 6 Press the rotary pushbutton to confirm. MÜNCHBERG MÜNCHEBERG 2 1 4 4 5 Press the NAV function selector button. 2 3 Turn the rotary pushbutton and select "Town/ZIP". Press the rotary pushbutton to confirm. Turn the rotary pushbutton and select the first letter of the destination town. Press the rotary pushbutton to confirm. Germany MÜN MÜNCHEN MÜNCH-LEU... MÜNCHAUR... MÜNCHBERG 8 MÜNCHEN/MÜNCHEN (... Centre 10 N DEL LIST MÜNCH-LEU... MÜNCHAUR... MÜNCHBERG MÜNCHEBERG 6 DEL MÜNCHEBERG 7 6 9 9 10 Repeat the above step to enter the remaining letters of the destination town until the name of the desired town appears on the display. 7 8 When you have entered the town, turn the rotary pushbutton and select "OK". Press the rotary pushbutton to confirm. Select "Start route guidance" from the menu. Press the rotary pushbutton to confirm. The route will be calculated. Infotainment MMI functions Establishing a BluetoothTM connection for a mobile phone You can quickly connect a Bluetooth mobile phone to the MMI: p Switch on the ignition, the MMI system and your mobile phone. p On your mobile phone, select the menu that looks for Bluetooth devices (e.g. "Hands-free"). p Enter the PIN "1234" on your mobile phone. Bluetooth © Driver assistance systems Many of the driver assistance systems on your Audi can be configured and operated by pressing the CAR button. Please refer to your Owner's Manual for detailed descriptions.
