Dear Audi Driver, This quick reference guide gives you a brief introduction to the main features and controls of your vehicle. However, it cannot replace the Owner's Manual and the other manuals supplied with the vehicle; these contain important information and safety warnings. We wish you safe and enjoyable motoring with your Audi. AUDI AG Locking sensor Locking and unlocking the vehicle Press the required button. e Unlocking button Audi A5/S5 Quick reference guide Open one of the doors within about 60 seconds, otherwise the vehicle will lock itself again automatically. r t Unlocking button for boot lid Locking button Opening boot lid If you p press the p or pull the button on the remote control key, button on the driver's door, Press the button for at least 1 second. The turn signals flash once to confirm that the doors and boot lid are properly closed and locked. p or press the catch on the boot lid, the boot lid will be unlocked and opened. 3 2 1 Securing the boot lid in the open position Press up the open boot lid slightly. Opening/closing the tilting panorama roof Press/pull the switch in the direction indicated by the arrows. Press/pull the switch again when the panorama roof is in the desired position. Convenience feature Press and hold button e or t on the remote control 1 Locking and unlocking the vehicle key to open or close all the windows and the tilting panorama roof automatically. WARNING! The doors and windows cannot be opened from inside the vehicle if it has been locked from the outside. Anti-theft alarm system The alarm system is automatically set when you lock the car, and switched off when you unlock the car with the remote control. If you unlock the vehicle by inserting the key in the driver's door, the ignition must be switched on within 15 seconds, otherwise the alarm will be triggered. Page 1 % advanced key Starting/stopping the engine Starting the engine p Insert the key in the ignition lock. p Manual gearbox: Press the clutch pedal and select neutral gear. p Automatic gearbox: Press the brake pedal and move the selector lever to P or N. p Press the key in briefly. On vehicles with diesel engine, keep your foot on the clutch (manual gearbox) or brake (automatic gearbox) until the engine starts. Switching off the engine when the vehicle is stationary p Vehicles with automatic gearbox: Move the selector lever to The advanced key allows you to lock and unlock the vehicle and start the engine without handling the key itself. You only need to have the remote control key on your person. Unlocking the vehicle Take hold of a door handle. The vehicle will be unlocked automatically. Locking the vehicle Briefly touch the locking sensor on one of the door handles. The selector lever must be in position P on vehicles with automatic gearbox. Note: If you keep hold of the sensor, this will also close the windows and the tilting panorama roof. Adjusting front seats Manual seat adjustment P or N. p Press the key in briefly. Switching the ignition on/off p Press in the key without pressing the clutch (manual gearbox) or brake pedal (automatic gearbox). Electrical seat adjustment e Adjusting head restraint To raise head restraint: Take hold of the sides of the head restraint with both hands and move it up as required To lower head restraint: Press the button on the side and move the head restraint down. r Easy entry function 1 2 i Adjusting lumbar support Slide the lever upwards and fold the backrest down to the front. Press the appropriate part of the switch. Take your weight off the backrest and turn the knob. moving seat backwards 5 9 10 or forwards Press the switch in the direction indicated by the arrows: To raise/lower the seat at the front To raise/lower the seat at the rear To raise/lower the seat To move the seat forwards/ backwards u Adjusting seat height Lift or press the lever repeatedly until the seat reaches the desired height. 8 i Adjusting lumbar support Press the appropriate part of the switch. 7 6 5 4 3 o Adjusting angle of seat cushion Lift or press the lever repeatedly until the seat reaches the desired height. d Adjusting backrest/head restraint p Moving seat backwards or forwards Press the switch in the direction indicated by the arrows: Backrest further upright/further reclined Head restraint up/down Lift the lever and move the seat into the desired position. Then release the lever and move the seat further until the catch engages. a Adjusting seat cushion Lift the button and move the seat cushion. This applies to the front and rear passengers. To ensure that the seat belts, belt tensioners and airbags are fully effective, please note the following points: Adjust seat and sit in correct position The front seats should not be positioned too close to the steering wheel or dashboard. Maintain a distance of at least 25 cm and sit in a normal upright position. The top of the head restraint should be at eye level or higher. Always keep your feet in the footwell. Wear the seat belt correctly Make sure that the shoulder section of the belt is positioned over the centre of the shoulder and move the lap section as far down over the hips as possible. The belts should always be worn so that they fit tightly (see illustration). Safety of children in the vehicle Children under 12 should travel on the rear seat. They must be protected by a child restraint system which complies with the European standard ECE-R 44 and is suitable for the child's height and weight. The safest place for the child restraint system is behind the front passenger's seat. 25 cm WARNING! Please follow the instructions in the Owner's child seat. Manual. Warning symbols If one of the red symbols lights up while you are driving, stop the car immediately, switch off the engine and refer to the Owner's Manual. "One-touch" function: Press/pull briefly to the second stop. 19 2 .....Adjuster for exterior mirrors , 3 .....Door handle and central locking switches Unlock Lock button on the sound system can be used to select various vehicle settings. 17 ...Air conditioner Automatic mode: Set the desired temperature separately for driver and passenger (e.g. +20 °C/+22 °C) and press the AUTO button to display the messages for the red and yellow symbols again for about 5 seconds. Warning and indicator lamps · Filling the tank 4 .....Recall buttons for seat memory 5 .....Light switch , 6 .....Button for side assist To activate/deactivate the monitoring function for the "blind spot". 16...Controls for: Audi drive select The following drive modes are available: Comfort: for relaxed driving and a comfortable ride (e.g. on motorways) Auto: standard setting driving Sun blind ESP OFF (deactivates and activates the Electronic Stabilisation Programme) parking system plus Press this switch to activate the system when moving forwards. Dynamic: for performance-oriented Filling the tank The tank flap is locked and unlocked automatically via the central locking system. Opening the tank flap Press the left side of the flap. Unscrew the tank cap anti-clockwise and hook it onto the flap. The correct fuel grade for your vehicle is shown on the inside of the tank flap. The sticker listing the tyre pressures is located on the inside face of the driver's door (only visible when door is open).
