JD-VD904 Welcome to the DVD+R/RW Recorder Quick Guide. Before attempting to operate this unit, read the Quick Guide. To make your home entertainment experience more enjoyable, use its digital audio and its component video outputs if your equipment supports this. The operating distance may vary according to the brightness of the room. 30° NOTE: Do not place objects between the remote control unit and the remote control signal sensor on the recorder. Do not point bright lights at the remote control signal sensor. Do not use this remote control unit while operating the remote control unit(s) of other equipment. 2 Connecting to Your TV and External Device Note: Turn off the power to your TV/Recorder before making any connection. = The colors of the connectors and plugs should match each other. = When connecting to a TV, always connect one end of the audio/video cable to the output connectors of the DVD recorder, and the other end to the input connectors of your TV set. = If your TV provides Progressive Scan, connect the DVD Recorder's "Pr/Cr", "Y", and "Pb/Cb" output jacks to your TV's P-Scan jacks.
