 good phone., clearer display instructions would be useful.. Don't know what the system cost to assess whether or not it is good value., it's very user frendly, need user guide to program. Awsome phone, a good phone for our business. Need a manual to see if it is good, fairly easy to use phone. lots of features

, difficult to program.  in my opinion, hard to program, needs a help button. Good machine if only i can find the manual for it, pretty good system. programming is a little difficult but once the set up is done it works pretty well., i dont know how to use the phone yet. Phone does what it's supposed to do., i just want the manual, i'm frustrated with the phone system. i feel as though i have to be a tech just to program the phone!, it is a good phone..  nice but confusing, not worth it. Nice phone so far, good phone system, not sure yet, just got the phone without any instructions. Excellent phone, so far so good. just need to learn how to program the unit.. Like the telephone but need to set button up w/music, incredibly hard to program, good phone, i have no real opinion at this time since i just got the phone service today on these phones..  it's okay. needs caller id, having trouble transferring.. Having trouble using the transfer function., don't like the "hangup" button., i just received the phone and have not had a chance to evaluate it yet.. Good luck., good information. It has some good features for the experienced user., i works for my application, not a bad phone but no instructions on how to use the phone and the features, its great.  phone is no good with instalation guide, works good for the type of phone system it is but the admin features are not as user friendly as i would like.. Having programming problems, otherwise a good system, hard to program; may be due to many features., t7316 is a very reliable system with features that are user friendly and save our staff time . , just received this but looks very sturdy and easy to user. Is a good phone, would like to be able to set up an answering service on phone and need a manual, i think it's a decent phone for the office., efficient system.  serves us well, these phones are perfect for business use.. Mount the stand as shown and insert screw. Use the screw that came with your telephone. Connect cords to the telephone, refer to "Cord connections" illustrations.

Memory buttons
Memory buttons are buttons not assigned as line, intercom or Handsfree buttons. Memory buttons store internal and external numbers or features to give you one touch dialing or feature activation.

How to hold calls
· · · While on a call, press ³. The ½ indicator for the line on hold will flash. To retrieve a held call, press the line button with the flashing ½ indicator. Calls are put on hold automatically when you switch from one line to another.

Handsfree calls
Your System Administrator or Coordinator must program the Handsfree feature on your telephone. · Press the Handsfree button on your telephone to make or answer a call. · To switch to Handsfree when you are on a call, press the Handsfree button and replace the handset. Lift the handset to switch back. When programmed, the Handsfree feature is assigned to button 16 on your telephone.

There are many ways to make a call, depending on your telephone programming and the type of call.

Use the three button label strips on the telephone to show what is programmed on the buttons. Spare button label strips are provided with your telephone.

1. Lift the handset. 2. Press a line button. 3. Dial the external telephone number.
How to label your buttons
1. Remove the plastic lens and button label strips from the telephone. 2. Write the name of each button on the button label strip. 3. Insert the button label strip back on the telephone. 4. Insert plastic lens, matching the tabs on the lens with the notches on the telephone. Align tabs

You can program a memory button with a new number or feature.
How to mute calls
· · · While on a call, press © to turn the microphone off. The © light flashes when the microphone is off. Press © again to turn the microphone on. Use © on handset, Handsfree or headset calls.
External autodial

Internal calls using intercom buttons
1. Lift the handset. 2. Press an intercom button. 3. Dial the extension number. Contact your System Administrator or Coordinator for a list of extension numbers.
Headset calls
· Press  to activate the headset mode. When the  light is on, press a line or intercom button to make a call. Press  to answer a call when the telephone rings or when an intercom or line button ½ indicator flashes. To switch to your headset when you are on a call, press  and replace the handset. Lift the handset to switch back.

Answering calls
When your telephone rings and the display light flashes or when an intercom or line button ½ indicator flashes: · Lift the handset. OR Press the button with the flashing ½ indicator before you lift the handset. ·
Tip
Use the Desktop Assistant application to customize button label strips for your telephone. Go to www.nortelnetworks.com/sbs_desktopassistant and download the Desktop Assistant application to your personal computer.
Warning
Nortel Networks does not support the connection of a headset to the T7316 telephone, unless Handsfree is enabled within the system programming. If Handsfree is not enabled, certain call handling features may not work as intended.
