The Wii Zapper must be used with a Wii Remote or with a Wii Remote and Nunchuk (sold separately). Additionally, you must use a Wii game disc (sold separately) that supports Wii Zapper game play. Look for this icon on game packaging for games that are designed to be used with the Wii Zapper. Unlicensed Accessories: Do not attach unlicensed accessories to the Wii Remote, as the use of unlicensed accessories may lead to injury to yourself or others and may cause performance issues and/or damage to the system. Use of any such unlicensed accessories will invalidate your Nintendo product warranty. Configuration 1: Zapper ­ Nunchuk Attached Both the Wii Remote and Nunchuk are attached to the Wii Zapper. See pages 4-5 for details. You can use this setup either right or left handed. Cable storage compartment and cover Nunchuk lock Wii Remote compartment Configuration 2: Zapper ­ Nunchuk Separate The Wii Remote is attached to the Wii Zapper while the Nunchuk is held in your other hand. Nintendo of Canada Ltd., Authorized User in Canada. 3 Configuration 1: Zapper ­ Nunchuk Attached NOTE: If your Wii Remote has the Wii Remote Jacket, remove it before attaching the remote to the Wii Zapper. Replace the jacket when you remove the remote from the Wii Zapper. 1. Remove the cable storage cover by pressing and sliding it towards the bottom of the Wii Zapper. 4. Replace the cable storage cover, feeding the cable through the slot at the top of the compartment. 5. Thread the wrist strap cord through the connector hook on the bottom of the connector plug. Insert the plug into the External Extension Connector on the bottom of the Wii Remote. 2. Open the Nunchuk lock. Place the Nunchuk into the compartment, aligning the projections with the screw holes on the underside of the Nunchuk. Close the Nunchuk lock over the base of the Nunchuk. Screw holes 6. Place the remote into the compartment, front end first, while pressing the Wii Remote lock release. Let go of the lock release when the remote is fully inserted into the compartment. The tabs on the lock should be inserted into the two holes on the bottom of the remote. 3. Feed the cable along the underside of the Wii Zapper, pressing it into the slot. Wrap the cable around the projections inside the compartment 3-1/2 times, leaving some extra cable to connect to the remote. NOTE: Extra cable can be tucked back into the cable storage compartment. Press Make sure that the Wii Remote is securely locked in place. 4 5 Configuration 2: Zapper ­ Nunchuk Separate NOTE: If your Wii Remote has the Wii Remote Jacket, remove it before attaching the remote to the Wii Zapper. Replace the jacket when you remove the remote from the Wii Zapper. 1. Thread the wrist strap cord through the connector hook on the bottom of the connector plug. Insert the plug into the External Extension Connector on the bottom of the Wii Remote. Removing the Wii Remote and Nunchuk 1. Press and hold the Wii Remote lock release and remove the Wii Remote from the compartment, bottom end first. Unplug the connector from the bottom of the remote and remove the wrist strap cord from the connector hook. Press 2. Remove the cable storage cover by pressing and sliding it towards the bottom of the Wii Zapper. 2. Place the remote into the compartment, front end first, while pressing the Wii Remote lock release. Let go of the lock release when the remote is fully inserted into the compartment. The tabs on the lock should be inserted into the two holes on the bottom of the remote. 3. Open the Nunchuk lock and remove the Nunchuk from the compartment. Press Unwind and remove the cable and replace the cover. Make sure that the Wii Remote is securely locked in place. Replace the Nunchuk lock. IMPORTANT: Wear the wrist strap and tighten the strap lock for this configuration. Review the Wii Operations Manual - System Setup for more information on wrist strap usage. 6 7 Troubleshooting If the Wii Zapper fails to operate, or operates incorrectly, check the following before seeking assistance: · · · Make sure the Wii Remote you are using with the Wii Zapper is synchronized with the Wii console. Review "Synchronizing Your Wii Remote and Wii Console" in the Operations Manual - System Setup if you need to re-synchronize your remote. Check the cable connection between the Wii Remote and the Nunchuk, making sure the connector is plugged securely into the remote. Make sure the Nunchuk Control Stick is set to the neutral position. This can be reset to neutral by removing your thumb from the Control Stick and then simultaneously pressing and holding the buttons on the Wii Remote for three seconds. Configuration 1 : Zapper ­ Nunchuk Attachés La télécommande Wii et le Nunchuk sont tous les deux attachés au Wii Zapper. Voir les pages 11-12 pour des détails. Placez le Nunchuk dans le compartiment en alignant les tiges avec les trous des vis en dessous du Nunchuk. Fermez le verrou du Nunchuk sur la base du Nunchuk.
