The CAT5 Extender allows users to control their computer or KVM switch from up to 150 metres away. It is perfect for isolated server rooms, large server farms, secure systems, or test benches where the computer may be inaccessible to the user. Featuring powered circuits to cleanly boost signals up to 150 metres away, the Belkin CAT5 Extender preserves VGA signals up to resolutions of 1280x1024@75Hz with unmatched clarity. Other CAT5 Extenders are blurry. Plus, with local and remote console ports, you can take control from near or far. A built-in, 3-foot (1 m), all-in-one PS/2 KVM cable for connecting the CAT5 Extender to the PC or KVM switch is also included. For best results, we recommend using a solid, snagless CAT5 cable, such as Belkin A3L791-XXX-S (where "XXX" is the length in feet). Contact your Belkin sales representative for more information. Power off your computers and/or KVM switch. 2. Using the KVM cable that is built into the Transmitter module, connect the male VGA cable to the VGA port on your computer or KVM switch. 3. Connect the PS/2 cables to the PS/2 ports on your computer or console ports on your KVM switch. Pay particular attention to which cable connects to which port. They are not interchangeable. Transmitter 4. Connect the video cable that is attached to your local monitor to the Console VGA port located on the Transmitter module. 5. Connect the local PS/2-type keyboard and mouse to the Console PS/2 ports located on the Transmitter module. Transmitter 6. Connect the video cable that is attached to your remote monitor to the Console VGA port located on the Receiver module. Receiver 7. Connect the remote PS/2-type keyboard and mouse to the Console PS/2 ports located on the Receiver module. 8. Take one end of a CAT5 cable and plug it into the RJ45 port on the Transmitter module. Plug the other end into the Receiver module. Note: The CAT5 Extender supports a solid cable only. 9. Comprenant des circuits d'alimentation qui propulsent le signal jusqu'à 150 mètres de distance, l'Extension KVM CAT5 OmniView de Belkin conserve l'intégrité du signal VGA, même aux résolutions de 1280 x 1024 à 75 Hz. Branchez les câbles PS/2 dans les ports PS/2 de votre ordinateur ou les ports de console de votre switch KVM. Veillez à brancher chaque câble dans le port adéquat. Ils ne sont pas interchangeables. Émetteur 4. Branchez le câble vidéo relié au moniteur local sur le port VGA de la console, sur le module émetteur. 5. Branchez le clavier et la souris PS/2 locaux sur les ports PS/2 de la console, sur le module émetteur. Émetteur 6. Branchez le clavier et la souris PS/2 distants sur les ports PS/2 de la console, sur le module récepteur. 8. Saisissez une extrémité du câble CAT5 et branchez-le dans le port RJ45 du module émetteur. Branchez ensuite l'autre extrémité sur le module récepteur. Remarque : L'Extension CAT5 ne prend en charge qu'un câble solide. 9. Branchez l'adaptateur de courant dans la prise murale, et branchez l'autre extrémité dans la prise d'alimentation du module récepteur. 3 Remarques · · · · Évitez d'utiliser une souris complexe. Une souris avec molette de défilement est suffisante. Évitez d'utiliser un clavier complexe, tel un clavier avec touches de raccourcis. Schalten Sie die Computer und/oder den KVM-Switch aus. 2. Hiermee kunt u computers en KVM-switches tot op 150 m afstand bedienen. Het is de ideale oplossing voor geïsoleerde servercabines, grote servercentrales en testopstellingen waarin de computer voor de gebruiker onbereikbaar is. Dankzij gevoede circuits zorgt de CAT5-extender van Belkin voor een feilloze signaalversterking tot op 150 m afstand. Zo onderhoudt hij kristalheldere VGA-signalen met resoluties tot 1280x1024 bij 75 Hz. Andere CAT5-extenders leveren een wazig beeld. Bovendien kunt u het aangesloten computerpark via lokale en externe consolepoorten op uw werkplek of op afstand bedienen. Sluit de PS/2-kabels aan op de PS/2-poorten van uw computer of de consolepoorten van uw KVM-switch. Let goed op dat u elke kabel op de juiste poort aansluit. De kabels zijn onderling niet uitwisselbaar. Zender 4. Sluit de videokabel van uw lokale monitor aan op de console VGApoort van de zendmodule. 5. Sluit het locale PS/2-toetsenbord en de PS/2-muis aan op de console PS/2-poorten van de zendmodule. Zender 6. Sluit de videokabel van uw lokale monitor aan op de console VGApoort van de ontvangstmodule. Ontvanger 7.
