Do not place the monitor in a badly ventilated room. Slots and openings on the back or top of the cabinet are provided for ventilation. They must not be blocked or covered. Do not write on the screen or touch the screen with a sharp object. You will permanently scratch the LCD panel. Unplug this monitor from the wall outlet before cleaning. Please use a soft, lint-free cloth to clean the monitor housing. Stubborn stains may be removed with a cloth lightly dampened with a mild detergent solution. Do not spray liquid directly onto the display screen. Liquid could drip inside the display and cause electrical shock. Do not attempt to service the monitor yourself; opening or removing covers can expose you dangerous voltages and other hazards. Please contact qualified service personnel for servicing if the problems of your monitor cannot be solved by " Troubleshooting" section. z Package Contents LCD Monitor Power Cord Power Adapter Audio Cable User Manual VGA Cable 2 Installation Instructions Monitor Installation: 1. Position the display on top of the display. 2. Connect the stand into the neck of display along the track. Monitor Packing: Important Before you start, make sure there is a clean, flat surface where you can place the display once it's removed from the stand. To protect the screen, place a towel or cloth on the surface. 1.Pull the display slightly up and away from the stand. Viewing Angle Adjustment: You are able to adjust the monitor's angle from -5°á20°. Caution: Make sure that the computer and monitor's power are both turned off. This device must be operated with the original power supply part number: LSE9901B1250 of Li-Shing International 3 Connecting: 1.Power Cord & Power Adapter: Plug one end of the power adapter to the DC power connector on the backside of the monitor. Plug one end of the power cord into the power adapter and the other end into a properly grounded electrical outlet. 2.VGA Cable (Signal cable): Connect one end of signal cable to monitor and connect the other side of signal cable to the VGA output of the graphics card on the computer and tighten the thumbscrews on connector. WARNING: The shape of the D-Sub 15 pin plug of VGA cable is trapezoid. Make sure it is properly connected to the computer and none of the pins are bent or pushed in. 3.Audio cable: Connect one end of the audio cable to the audio input of LCD monitor and the other end to your computer. Power On: First, power-on monitor, then power-on computer. After the computer is running, the LED on the power button should be green. Allow about 10 seconds for the video signal to appear. If the power LED is not green or you do not see a video signal, check the connections 4 Adjusting Display Settings 1 2 34567 External Controls 1 2 3 4 5 6 Press to view the OSD. Press again to exit. OSD active: Press to select or adjust OSD options OSD inactive: Press 2 once, then ð,ç, to adjust ARROW the brightness or , to adjust the contrast. OSD active: Press to select or adjust OSD options OSD inactive: Press 3 once, then ð,ç to adjust ARROW the brightness or , to adjust the contrast. OSD active: Press to select or adjust OSD options ARROW OSD inactive: Press 4 once, then ð,ç to switch the mute or , to adjust the volume. OSD active: Press to select or adjust OSD options ARROW OSD inactive: Press 5 once, then ð,ç to switch the mute or , to adjust the volume. OSD active: Press to enter a selection in OSD OSD inactive: Press to automatically optimize SELECT/ AUTO your display's position, clock, phase. OSD Menu POWER Power OFF/ON ; Green: ON Orange: Sleep 7 5 OSD Options: á Please refer to " External Controls" on Page 5. To adjust the OSD settings: 1. Press the OSD Menu button, the OSD menu open. 2. Use the ð,ç buttons to highlight a control, then press the SELECT/AUTO to enter 3. 4. Use the ð,ç, , buttons to adjust the control to the desired level. When you have finished making all selections, press the OSD button to exit the OSD. ( or the adjustment can be auto saved after 45 seconds.) OSD MENU: z Brightness & Contrast Adjustment Brightness: Adjust the brightness of the display. Contrast: Adjust the difference between the light and dark areas. z Tracking Adjustment CLOCK: Adjust to minimize any vertical bars or stripes visible on the screen background. The horizontal screen size will also change. PHASE: Adjust to remove any horizontal distortion, and clear or sharpen the image of characters. 6 z Position Adjustment V-Position: Adjust the vertical position of the picture. H-Position: Adjust the horizontal position of the picture. z Color Adjustment There are four items for color adjustment: 9300K: Bluish white 6500K: Reddish white User defined: Red, Green, Blue. Adjust to set your own color level. z Other LANGUAGE: Multi- Language selection OSD POSITION: Adjust the OSD window position on the screen. INFORMATION: "ON" When changing screen resolution setting( for example: horizontal/ vertical refresh rate), display information is briefly shown on the screen and vice versa. RESET: Recall to factory settings. 7 Troubleshooting Problem & Question Possible Solutions àCheck if the power switch is in the Power LED is not ON ON position àPower Cord should be connected. àCheck if the power switch is in the ON position àPower Cord should be connected. àMake sure the video cable is securely No Picture connected to the back of the monitor and the computer. àMove the mouse or press any key on the keyboard to bring the monitor out of active off mode. àSee ¼color adjustment½to adjust Picture has color defects RGB color or select color temperature. à Move electrical devices that may cause electrical interference.
