ALCHEMIST POSITIONING The TSD2 24/192KHz Upsampling Converter has been designed to be the perfect add on DAC to any CD, DVD, DAT or other machines that have a digital output. As such its slim design allows it to be placed directly on top of most machines that already have a position in your HiFi rack. RECORDING The TSD2 is fitted with a digital record output socket. This can be used to reroute the digital signal from your source out into a machine with recording facilities. i.e. CDR, MD or DAT For this output, the TSD2 is selected to incoming sampling rate at standard, internal selector permitted to output signal to 96KHz. Please contact your dealer for details. MAINS POWER CONNECTION The TSD2 comes with an external PSU which is fitted with the relevant mains plug type for the country of purchase. In some cases there will be a replaceable fuse in the plug. If in the event that this should blow replace only with the same type. Never replace with a different value. Be sure that your system is switched off whilst connecting / disconnecting any leads. FRONT PANEL INDICATORS The front panel of the TSD2 bears two LED s and one button: Power. This BLUE LED will illuminate when the TSD2 is connected to its PSU and switched on. Input Selector. Toggle between Coaxial and Optical input. Optical. This GREEN LED will illuminate when Optical input is selected. SOURCE CONNECTION As the phono sockets on the TSD2 are gold, we recommend that, where possible, you use gold phono plugs on your interconnect leads, ensuring the best possible electrical contact. There are two digital inputs provided on the TSD2. One is optical and the other is coaxial. It also provides two forms of output, analogue and coaxial digital output. GENERAL CARE Cleaning your TSD2 should be done with a clean, dry cloth. Do not use any solvent or silicone based solutions. Remember to replace all of your packaging in the box and reseal. Keep the box for future transportation of your TSD2. Please note that, as with all hi-fi products, there are no user serviceable parts inside and you should refer any problems to your dealer.
