LIMITED WARRANTY Ameriphone warrants the AM-PX/PXB against any defect in workmanship or material, for a period of one year from the date of purchase. If the product is defective and returned within 30 days of purchase, the unit will be replaced at the place of purchase at no charge. If it is returned after 30 days but within one year, Ameriphone will repair or replace it at no charge. In repairing your AM-PX/PXB, we may use new or reconditioned parts. If we elect to replace your AM-PX/PXB, we may replace it with a new or reconditioned product of the same or similar design. Repair or replacement will be warranted for either 90 days or the remaining time on the warranty period, whichever is longer. When in need of warranty repair, please call our customer service department at (800) 874-3005 (voice), (800) 772-2889 (TTY). They will help you process your return shipment. You must prepay all shipping costs. Implied warranties, including those of fitness for a particular purpose and merchantability (unwritten warranty that the product is fit for ordinary use), are limited to one year from date of purchase. We will not pay for loss of time, inconvenience, loss of use of your AM-PX/PXB or property damage caused by your AM-PX/PXB or its failure to work, or any other incidental or consequential damages. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts or the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so the above exclusions or imitations may not apply to you. We suggest you save the original package materials in the event that you need to ship your AM-PX/PXB back. When shipping for warranty repair, include your name, address, phone number, proof of date of purchase and a description of the problem. After repairing the product, we will ship it back to you at no cost within the United States. This warranty does not cover defects resulting from accidents, damage while in transit to our service location, alterations, unauthorized repair, failure to follow instructions, misuse, use outside the United States or Canada, fire, flood and acts of God. BATTERY The Personal Signaler (AM-PX) and Personal Tactile Signaler (AM-PXB) each come installed with a 2.4 volt rechargeable NiCad battery. It normally lasts 25-50 activations or 16 hours of continuous usage. If the vibration is weak, recharge the unit with the supplied adapter/charger. Before the first use, charge the unit for at least 8 hours. FCC INFORMATION The Alertmaster Personal Signaler (AM-PX) and Personal Tactile Signaler (AM-PXB) use an FCC approved receiver/transmitter, as specified in Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Its operation is subject to the following 2 conditions: ® PAGER SETTING (AM-PX) To set Pager feature: 1. DIP switch positions 5, 6, 7 and 8 determine the pager ID of each unit. 2. Slide open the battery compartment and locate the DIP switch inside the AM-PX. 3. Clip the receiver onto your belt. Slide power switch to ON. It will alert you within an 80-foot radius of the Alertmaster base unit. Do not use the unit in the rain or in the shower. 2. When the Alertmaster Notification System is activated by any function(s), the Signaler will come on for 24 seconds or until it is reset or turned off. ® CHANNEL SETTING The Alertmaster Notification System uses radio signals to communicate between the console unit and all its accessories. For the Personal Signaler to activate, they all have to be on the same "channel." A "DIP Switch" is used for channel selection. ® IN CASE OF DIFFICULTY Symptom No power Cause and Remedy The Unit is turned off or battery needs recharging The DIP Switches may be incorrectly set. See "Channel Setting". Or, it may be out of range. Reset Power switch ·Sound - Vibrates for one second, stops for one second, and repeats. This function is activated by the Baby Sound Monitor (AM-BX). ·Alarm - Vibrates for one second, stops for one second, and repeats. This function is also activated by the Audio Alarm Transmitter ( AM-AX). ·Sensor - Vibrates for one second, stops for one second, vibrates for one second, stops for two seconds, and repeats. This function is also activated by the Motion Sensor (AM-SX). 3. AM-PXB OPERATIONS When the Personal Tactile Signaler (AM-PXB) is activated, press the control buttons, one after another, until the vibration becomes continuous. The button that causes continuous vibration is the one corresponding to the source of the alert. 2. Slide open the battery compartment and locate DIP Switch inside of the AM-PX/ AM-PXB. 3. Use a pen to change the DIP Switches to a new matching setting. 4. Change the switch settings on each of your other accessories (doorbell Remote Receiver, etc.) to match the new switch setting in the base unit. All settings must be identical for the system to work. Switch for AM-6000 is on the bottom, AM-7000 is on the back. Channel Setting Pager ID 12345678 OFF 9VDC 200mA ON 3. To reset, either press the RESET button, or slide the power switch to OFF then to ON: ·Phone - Vibrates two seconds, stops for four seconds, and repeats. Battery door (behind) Your system and all the accessories have been preset in the factory to a standard channel setting. Under normal operating conditions, there is no adjustment necessary. If your system encounters interference and repeatedly activates by itself for no obvious reason, maybe it's being triggered by a system nearby. Change channel switch settings on all components. 1. Unplug AC cord and locate DIP Switch on the underside of the Alertmaster base unit.
