Looking at the back of the box you will see the terminals. The left terminal is negative (-) and the right terminal is positive (+) for each set. The mounting position of your ported enclosure will have a great effect on the sound performance produced. TRUNK MOUNTING Placing the box in the trunk provides a good overall performance. PASSENGER COMPARTMENT MOUNTING Placing the box in the passenger compartment provides optimum sound, but reduces the area for passenger seating, if not taking it all away. LOADING Facing the box towards a wall will increase the low frequency sounds. When mounting in a trunk or back of any vehicle, you will tend to get much better performance and better low end frequency response when you face the box towards the back of the vehicle. MOUNTING Mounting or securing the box is a good idea. This will prevent the box from sliding around. If it does move around, it can hit obstacles, and wires can come loose and damage the system. It is also good to have it secured in case of an accident so it is not thrown into any passengers. You can mount the box by attaching brackets and fastening it with screws or bolts straight to the frame or other solid piece in the car. You can also use velcro strips. Attach the sticky side of the velcro to bottom of the box, and the carpet in the vehicle should hold it in place. 5 ...
