HOW NIGHT VISION WORKS BushnellNightVisionproductscollectandamplifyexistinglightthroughtheobjectivelens,whichisthenfocusedontheimage intensifier.Insidetheintensifier,aphotocathodeis"excited"bythelightandconvertsthephotonenergyintoelectrons.These electronsaccelerateacrossanelectrostaticfieldinsidetheintensifierandstrikeaphosphorscreen(likeagreenmonochrome TVscreen)whichemitsanimagethatyoucansee.Itistheaccelerationofelectrons,whichprovidesgainandenhancesthe image.ThisisaGenerationIdevice. Replace the batterycovercarefully­donotovertighten. Use and Testing ThisdeviceoperatesontwoAAbatteries.Makesurethey havebeeninstalledaccordingtotheinstructionsabove. Ifyouwishtotestyournightvisiondeviceinalightedarea, besuretheobjectivelenscapiscoveringtheobjectivelens (1)priortopressingthe"ON"button(2).Theobjectivelens caphasapinholeopeningtoadmitasmallamountoflight fortestingpurposes. If testing or using the device in the dark, remove the objective lens cap and activate the device by pushing the "ON"button(2). Setthepreliminaryfocusadjustmentbyplacingtheadjusting mark(locatedontopoftheobjectivefocusingring)opposite theletter"N"intheword"Normal"(6). YourNightVisiondeviceoffersaBuilt-InInfraredIlluminator. TROUBLESHOOTING Scope will not turn on. Checkthatthebatteriesareinstalledproperly.Replacethebatterieswithnewones.Checkthebatterycontactstoensurethey arecleanandfreeofcorrosion.Checkthatthepowerisinthe"ON"position. Image is not focused. AdjustthefocusontheEyepiece(4).AdjusttheObjectiveLensFocusingRing.Ifstillnoimprovement,cleanthelenses;they maybefoggyordusty. Visibility decreases or disappears. Brightlightsourcessuchasheadlightsmaycausevisibilitytodegradeordisappearcompletely.TurnthePowerOFF(2)andturn thescopeawayfromthelightsource.Theunitwillrestoreitselfin1or2minutes.Conditionssuchasfogorextremelydark environmentswilldecreasevisibility. Scope flashes. The scope may flash when used in a bright environment. It may also flash during the first few seconds of use in dark environments. Pour les mettreenplace,dévisserpourouvrirlecouvercleducompartiment des piles situé au bas de l'instrument. Insérer les piles dans le compartiment,defaçonquelesbornespositive(+)etnégative(-) des piles soient placées en face des marques correspondantes à l'intérieur du compartiment. Remettre le couvercle en place avec précaution,enévitantdetropserrer. Utilisation et test Cet instrument fonctionne avec deux piles de type AA. S'assurer qu'ellesontétéinstalléesselonlesinstructionsci-dessus. Si l'on souhaite tester l'instrument pour vision de nuit dans un endroit éclairé, vérifier que le capuchon de lentille d'objectif recouvre bien la lentille (1), avant d'appuyer sur le bouton « ON »(MARCHE).Lecapuchondelentilled'objectifcomporteuntrou deviséequiadmetunepetitequantitédelumièrenécessairepour letest. Si le test ou l'utilisation de l'instrument se fait dans l'obscurité, retirer le capuchon de lentille d'objectif et activer l'instrument en appuyantsurlebouton«ON»(MARCHE)(2). Effectuer le réglage préliminaire de mise au point en plaçant le repèrederéglage(situésurledessusdelabaguedemiseaupoint del'objectif)àl'opposédelalettre«N»dumot«Normal»(6). Diriger l'instrument vers le sujet à observer et effectuer la mise au point finale en tournant la bague de mise au point de l'objectif,jusqu'àcequelaqualitédel'imagesoitoptimale. L'indicateurlumineuxvert(DEL)allumésignifiequeledispositifamplificateurdelumièrefonctionne.L'indicateurlumineuxrouge 13 (DEL)allumésignifiequel'illuminateurinfrarougefonctionne.Toujourssesouvenirdemettrel'instrumenthorstensionaprès l'utilisation.Nepasrangercetinstrumentquandlesindicateurssontallumés.Cetinstrumentpeutsemontersurunedouillede fixationpourtrépiedde1/4depouce(5). Attention:Ilestpossibled'utilisercetinstrumentpartempstrèsfroid.Cependant,lorsqu'ilestramenédansunenvironnement chaud,ilfautattendreenviron5heuresavantdel'utiliserànouveau,carlacondensationquis'estaccumuléesurlescircuits internesdel'instrumentprovoqueraitdesdommages. Réglerlamiseaupointsurl'oculaire(4).Réglerlabaguedemiseaupointdel'objectif.S'iln'yatoujourspasd'amélioration, nettoyerleslentilles;ellessontpeut-êtrecouvertesdebuéeoudepoussière.
