CongratulationsonthepurchaseofthisM1+UniversalRemote Control. TheM1+isadigitaluniversalremotecontrolthatiseasyto useandconfigure,enablingyoutocontrolvirtuallyallyourIRequipped electronicdevices. OnefeatureoftheM1+isthetouchscreencontrolpanel,which reducesthenumberofbuttonsonthedevice,makingiteasyforyouto findthefunctionyouwant. Youcancontroluptoeightdevices, includingaVCR,DVD,amplifier,TV,andLD/VCD. TheM1+iseasytosetup. Withthe"learningeye"youcanquickly configureeachdeviceinyourhouseholdoroffice. Inaddition, withthe macrofunction,youcaninitiateachainofupto18commandswiththe touchofabutton. WiththeconvenientandeasytouseM1+,youcancontrolallyour deviceswithoneremotecontrolsolution. Thetouchscreenbuttonsenableyoutocontrolyourdevicesasyou wouldwithyourremotecontrol,setupmacros,andconfigureyour LCDpanelthewayyouwant. Usingthetouchscreeniseasy. Simplypressthescreentoactivatea function. Youwillhearabeepwhenyoupressthebutton. NOTE Ifyoudon'thearabeepwhenyoupressthescreen,youmayhave deactivatedthebeep. Pressanydevicebuttontwicetoactivate thebeepfunction. Ifyoustilldon'thearabeep,pressthebuttona littlemorefirmly. Thefollowingillustrationshowsallthefunctionsandtheirrelatedicons availableontheM1+foryourreference.
ThischapterwilltellyouhowtosetuptheM1+,howto automaticallyconfiguredevices,andhowtousetheadvancedfeatures suchasthemacros.
Beforeyouusethelearningfunction
Beforeyoustartconfiguringyourremotecontrolsusingthelearning function,pleaseheedthefollowingprecautions: $ Don'tconfiguremorethanoneremotecontrolforeachdeviceon theM1+. Forexample,don'tuseoneTVremotecontrolfor somefunctionsundertheM1+'sTVdevicescreen,andthenuse adifferentTVremotecontrolforotherfunctions. Configurethe M1+'sdevicebuttonusingonly one remotecontrolforallthe buttons. Ifyouaregoingtoc onfigureadifferentremotecontrolforan M1+devicebuttonafteryouhavepreviouslyconfiguredthe devicebuttonforadifferentremotecontrol,firstdeleteallthe commandsforthedevicebutton. Referto Usingthedeletebank function onpage10. Whenusingthelearningfunction,youmustpresseachbutton within120seconds. Otherwise,theM1+willexitlearningmode andreturntonormaloperationmode.
