Recharge the PlayDock overnight whenever possible--even if the battery has only been used for a few hours. If storage is necessary: * Be sure the PlayDock battery has charged for at least 8 hours. * Put the POWER switch in the "out" position * Recharge the battery at a minimum of six month intervals. The PlayDockXM automatically shuts down to protect a battery with low-charge. If the PlayDockXM does not turn on in portable operation, do not defeat this protection feature with repeated activation cycles. Recharge the PlayDockXM battery as soon as possible, preferably within 24 hours. Attempting to operate the PlayDockXM after low-battery shutdown may permanently reduce the life of the battery.
