I enjoy the xsi very much there is a lot to learn and remember , it is a nice camera for us beginners.  good camera, i love it. It's a very good intermediate dslr for the price., love it!, great camera!. If i knew how to work it i might give it a much better rating. all said and done, canon is a terrific camera anyway., this camera is not for a novice. extremely hard to understand the user manual. somehow the internal flash got turned off. i have spent days trying to figure out how to get it to work again. so far no luck.. Very complicated for a non professional., fabulous camera, excellent camera!, i've used my canon xsi for about three years now, have taken over 8000 pictures with it and am still loving it more all the time. the more i get to know of it and understand it, the better friends we have become..

The EOS DIGITAL REBEL XSi/EOS 450D is a high-performance, digital single-lens reflex camera with a 12.20-megapixel image sensor. The camera provides many features such as Picture Styles to expand your photographic expression, fast and high-precision 9-point autofocus for moving subjects, and diverse shooting modes for beginners as well as advanced users. It also incorporates the EOS Integrated Cleaning System to eliminate dust spots on images and the Self Cleaning Sensor Unit to shake off dust on the sensor. Take a Few Test Shots to Familiarize Yourself with the Camera With a digital camera, you can immediately view the image you have captured. While reading this manual, take a few test shots and see how they come out. You can then better understand the camera. To avoid botched pictures and accidents, read the Safety Warnings (p.186,187) and Handling Precautions (p.12,13). Test the Camera Before Using and Liability After shooting, playback and check whether the image has been properly recorded. If the camera or memory card is faulty and the images cannot be recorded or downloaded to the personal computer, Canon cannot be held liable for any loss or inconvenience caused. (p.**) : Reference page numbers for more information. Basic Assumptions All operations explained in this manual assume that the power switch is already set to <1>. It is assumed that all the menu settings and Custom Functions are set to the default.
