Bewahren Sie diese Anleitung danach an einem sicheren Ort für spätere Nachschlagezwecke sorgfältig auf. Positionieren Sie Ihre CD 3200 active an einem trockenen und sauberen Ort ­ entfernt von Wärmequellen, Vibrationen, Staub, Feuchtigkeit und extremer Kälte. Um Feuer und Stromschlaggefahr zu vermeiden, setzen Sie diesen Lautsprecher niemals Regen oder starker Feuchtigkeit aus. Öffnen Sie niemals das Gehäuse. Im Schadensfall wenden Sie sich bitte an einen autorisierten Canton Fachhändler oder direkt an den Canton Kundendienst. Vermeiden Sie übermäßige Kräfte an den Schaltern, Reglern und Anschlussklemmen. Wenn Sie Ihren Lautsprecher transportieren, trennen Sie unbedingt zuerst den Netzstecker und die anderen an die CD 3200 active eventuell angeschlossenen Kabel. Ziehen Sie dabei immer an den Steckern und niemals direkt an den Leitungen. Die örtliche Netzspannung muss der am Typenschild der CD 3200 active angegebenen Netzspannung entsprechen. Canton kann nicht für Schäden verantwortlich gemacht werden, die auf den Betrieb mit einer anderen als der vorgeschriebenen Spannung zurückzuführen sind. Versuchen Sie niemals Ihre CD 3200 active mit einem Lösungsmittel zu reinigen, das Oberflächenfinish kann dadurch beschädigt werden. Verwenden Sie bitte ein sauberes, trockenes Tuch. Sollten Sie Ihre CD 3200 active für längere Zeit nicht benutzen (z.B. Urlaub), ziehen Sie den Netzstecker aus der Netzdose, oder schalten Sie den Lautsprecher am Hauptschalter aus. Ihre CD 3200 active kann durch den Netzschalter komplett vom Stromnetz getrennt werden, denn der Netzschalter schaltet 2-polig. Ihre CD 3200 active verbraucht so keinen Strom. Um Schäden durch Blitzschlag zu vermeiden, sollte zusätzlich der Netzstecker gezogen werden, wenn ein Gewitter erwartet wird. Beim direkten Anschluss der Lautsprecher über den High- bzw. Low-Level Eingang muss der Pegel der Wiedergabe unbedingt über das Steuergerät geregelt werden. Der direkte Anschluss eines Steuergerätes mit fixem Ausgang führt zur Vollaussteuerung der eingebauten Endstufen und zu extremer Lautstärke die zu gesundheitlichen Schäden führen kann. Install your CD 3200 active in a dry and clean place ­ away from heat sources, vibrations, dusty or damp areas and extremely low temperatures. To avoid fire and the danger of electric shocks, never expose this loudspeaker to rain or water. Never open the casing. If the product becomes damaged, please contact an authorised Canton dealer or contact the Canton customer service directly. Avoid applying excessive force to the switches, modulators and terminals. Before moving the loudspeaker, always detach the mains plug and any other cables which may be attached to the CD 3200 active. When doing so, always pull on the plug and not directly on the cables themselves. The local mains voltage must correspond to the voltage stated on the label on the CD 3200 active. Canton cannot be held responsible for any damage caused as a result of operating the system at any voltage other than the one prescribed. Never attempt to clean your CD 3200 active with a solvent as this may damage the surface finish. Please use a clean dry cloth. If you will not be using your CD 3200 active for a long time (e.g. holidays), remove the mains plug from the socket or turn the loudspeaker off at the mains switch. Your CD 3200 active can be completely isolated from the mains electricity by the mains switch because it uses a double-pole configuration. In this mode, your CD 3200 active does not use any electricity. To avoid damage from lightening strikes, the mains plug should also be unplugged when thunderstorms are expected. When connecting the loudspeaker via the High or Low-Level input, the volume level must be adjusted using the audio source. Directly connecting a source with fixed output can lead to full conduction of the in-built power amplifiers and creates extreme sound levels which may damage your health. Ausgestattet mit einem High- und einem Low Level Eingang, kann dieser Lautsprecher an jedes handelsübliche Steuergerät angeschlossen werden. Der Anschluss kann über ein normales Lautsprecherkabel oder über ein abgeschirmtes Cinch-Kabel erfolgen. Bedingt durch die integrierte 300 Watt ICE-Power Leistungsendstufe ist auch ein Betrieb der CD 3200 active mit Steuergeräten ohne eigenen Leistungsverstärker möglich. Selbst wenn Ihr Steuergerät nicht die Möglichkeit einer Lautstärkeregelung bietet (z.B. Flachbild TV mit fixem Out) ist ein Anschluss an die CD 3200 activ möglich. Die Regelung der Lautstärke erfolgt dann über die den Lautsprechern beiliegende Fernbedienung. The CD 3200 active is a high-quality HiFi loudspeaker with a superior aluminium design box. Equipped with a high- and low-level input, this loudspeaker can be connected to any standard control unit via a normal loudspeaker cable or a magnetically shielded Cinch cable. The integrated 300 watt ICE Power amplifier means that the CD 3200 active can be operated by control units without their own power amplifiers. Even if your control unit does not have a volume control option (e.g. flat screen TV with fixed Out) it can still be connected to the CD 3200 active. In such cases the volume is controlled by the remote control which is included with the loudspeakers. Anschließen der Lautsprecher / Connecting the Loudspeakers Wichtig: Bevor Sie die Lautsprecher an Ihren Verstärker anschließen, schalten Sie diesen bitte aus. Verbinden Sie Ihre CD 3200 active erst dann mit dem Stromnetz, wenn alle nötigen Verbindungen zu Ihren Audio-/Video-Komponenten abgeschlossen sind. Auf dem Anschlussterminal jedes Lautsprechers befinden sich eine mit ,,Low Level In" gekennzeichnete Cinch Buchsen (Abb. 4) und zwei mit ,,High Level" gekennzeichnete Schraubklemmen (Abb. 10). Ist Ihr Steuergerät mit einem Vorverstärker-Ausgang oder Pre-out ausgestattet, verbinden Sie diesen mit der Cinchbuchse des Anschlussterminals des linken und rechten Lautsprechers. Ist Ihr Steuergerät nur mit Lautsprecherausgängen versehen, verbinden Sie diese mit den Schraubklemmen des Anschlussterminals. Achten Sie hier auf die richtige Polarität der Verkabelung Rot = Plus und Schwarz = Minus. Um einen Kurzschluss zu vermeiden, sollten die abisolierten Enden der Lautsprecherkabel möglichst kurz sein, nicht aus den Schraubklemmen herausragen und sich auf keinen Fall berühren. Mit dem im Lieferumfang enthaltenen Synchronkabel verbinden Sie die mit ,,Volume Link" (Abb. 3) gekennzeichneten Buchsen des linken und rechten Lautsprechers. Ihre CD 3200 active können nun mit dem Stromnetz verbunden und Ihr Steuergerät wieder eingeschaltet werden. Schalten Sie die Netzschalter (Abb. 5) der beiden Lautsprecher auf ,,On". Im Auslieferzustand ist die maximale Eingangsempfindlichkeit Ihrer CD 3200 active auf ­ 50 dB reduziert. Diese Einstellung ist korrekt, wenn Sie Ihre Lautsprecher an einen ,,fixed out" (z.B. CD Player, Flachbildschirm, usw.) betreiben. Verwenden Sie zum Ansteuern Ihrer Aktivlautsprecher ein Steuergerät mit ,,variablem" Ausgang, so sollten Sie die Eingangsempfindlichkeit Ihrer CD 3200 active jedoch erhöhen. Drücken Sie dafür bei jedem Lautsprecher den Empfindlichkeitstaster (Abb. 2) für mindestens 3 Sekunden um die maximale Eingangsempfindlichkeit der eingebauten ICE Power Endstufen einzustellen. Important: Please switch off the amplifier before connecting it to the loudspeakers. Do not connect your CD 3200 active to the mains power until all the necessary audio and video components have been connected. On the connection terminal of every speaker you will find a Cinch socket marked ,,Low Level In" (fig.4) and two screw terminals marked ,,High Level" (fig.10). If your control unit is fitted with a Pre-Amplifier Output or Pre-Out, connect this with the Cinch socket on the connection terminal on the left and right speakers. If your control unit only has Loudspeaker Outputs, connect these with the screw terminals on the connection terminal. In doing so, please check that the cabling polarity is correct; red = positive and black = negative. To avoid short-circuiting, the bared ends of the loudspeaker cables should be as short as possible, should not protrude out of the screw terminals and under no circumstances should they be touching. Use the synchronisation cable which is included to connect the sockets marked ,,Volume Link" (fig.3) on the left and right loudspeakers. Your CD 3200 active can now be connected to the mains and your control unit can be switched back on. Switch the main power switch (fig.5) on both loudspeakers to ,,On". The factory setting for maximum input sensitivity of your CD 3200 active is reduced to ­ 50 dB. This setting is accurate if you operate your loudspeaker on ,,fixed out" (e.g. CD player, flat screen etc.).
