Heben Sie diese auf, um auch später noch nachschlagen zu können. Canton kann für Schäden, die aus Nichtbeachtung der folgenden Punkte resultieren, nicht haftbar gemacht werden. Wählen Sie für Ihre Lautsprecher einen möglichst ebenen Untergrund. Der Neigungswinkel des Lautsprechers darf 5 Grad nicht überschreiten. Wählen Sie außerdem einen trockenen und sauberen Platz, entfernt von Fenstern mit direkter Sonneneinstrahlung, Wärmequellen, Erschütterungen, hoher Feuchtigkeit und extremer Kälte. Niemals das Gehäuse öffnen. Wenden Sie sich bei Problemen oder Defekten an Ihren Fachhändler bzw. an qualifiziertes Fachpersonal. Um Schäden zu vermeiden, darf Ihr DM-System nur mit der auf dem Typenschild spezifizierten Spannung betrieben werden. Um Feuergefahr und die Möglichkeit eines elektrischen Schlages zu vermeiden, darf das DM-System weder Regen noch hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit (> 80%) ausgesetzt werden. Das Gerät entspricht den gültigen EMV Vorschriften bei einer Umgebungstemperatur von +10°C... +40°C. Üben Sie keine Gewalt auf die Bedienungselemente, Anschlüsse und Kabel aus. Zum Aufstellen an einem anderen Ort lösen Sie zuerst das Netzkabel und dann die Verbindungskabel zu anderen Geräten. Immer an den Steckern und nicht an den Kabeln ziehen. Fassen Sie das Netzkabel nie mit nassen Händen an. Um die Endstufen des DM-Systems vor Überhitzung zu schützen, muss bei der Aufstellung ein Mindestabstand von 5 cm zu Wänden und Möbeln eingehalten werden. Vermeiden Sie einen Hitzestau und decken Sie Ihr DM-System nicht durch Gardinen, Tischdecken o. ä. ab. Das DM 70 ist magnetisch abgeschirmt und kann somit problemlos in direkter Nähe des TV-Geräts plaziert werden. Stellen Sie Ihr DM-System nicht in der Nähe von Hitzequellen oder offenen Flammen (z.B. Kerzen) auf. Bitte trennen Sie zu Ihrer Sicherheit bei längerem Nichtgebrauch, einem Gewitter oder Wassereinbruch das DM-System vom Netz. Stellen Sie nichts auf die Gehäuse der DM-Systeme oder vor die Bassreflexöffnung. Schwingungen und Vibrationen können zur Beschädigung von Gegenständen führen. Stecken Sie keine Gegenstände oder Körperteile in die Öffnung des Subwoofers. Stromführende Teile im Inneren des Gehäuses könnten berührt und beschädigt werden. Dies kann zu Kurzschluss, elektrischen Schlägen und Feuerentwicklung führen. Falls bei der Wiedergabe Tonverzerrungen wie z. B. unnatürliches Klopfen, Pochen oder hochfrequentes Klicken auftreten, ist der Lautstärkepegel umgehend zu reduzieren. Verwenden Sie keine chemischen Lösungen zur Reinigung der Geräte. Benutzen Sie ein sauberes, trockenes Tuch. Bei starken Temperaturschwankungen kann es zu Kondensniederschlag (Wassertropfen) im Inneren der DM-Systeme kommen. Warten Sie mit der Inbetriebnahme bis sich die entstandene Feuchtigkeit verflüchtigt hat (mindestens 2 Stunden). Die Batterie der Fernbedienung muss bei einer Batteriesammelstelle entsorgt werden. Batterien sind von Kindern fernzuhalten. Die Batterie darf nicht extremer Hitze wie Sonnenlicht, Feuer oder ähnlichem ausgesetzt werden. Sie muss entsprechend dem Polungsaufdruck korrekt eingelegt werden. Verwenden sie ausschließlich die für dieses System spezifizierte Batterie (CR2450). Der Zugang zum Netzstecker muss jederzeit gegeben sein, um diesen bei Gefahr entfernen zu können! Die richtige Aufstellung sowie der richtige Anschluss der DM-Systeme fällt in die Verantwortung des Anwenders. Canton übernimmt keine Verantwortung für Schäden oder Unfälle, die durch unsachgemäße Aufstellung oder falsches Anschließen verursacht wurden. Warnung: Musikhören mit hohen Lautstärken, insbesondere über einen längeren Zeitraum, kann zu Gehörschäden führen. 3 English Deutsch Achtung: Sehr geehrter Kunde, willkommen in der Canton-Familie und vielen Dank für Ihr Vertrauen, das Sie uns mit dem Kauf dieses Systems entgegenbringen. Sie haben sich für ein hochwertiges Lautsprecher-System entschieden und damit Ihren hohen Anspruch an Klang- und Verarbeitungsqualität bewiesen. Bitte lesen Sie vor dem Aufstellen und Anschließen Ihres DM-Systems diese Bedienungsanleitung sorgfältig durch. Sie wird Ihnen bei der optimalen Nutzung Ihrer Systeme helfen. Canton verfügt über ein Vertriebsnetz in über 40 Ländern. Bei eventuellen Fragen wird Ihnen dieses Team von erfahrenen Distributoren gemeinsam mit dem autorisierten Fachhandel gerne weiterhelfen. Systembeschreibung Die Virtual-Surround-Systeme der DM-Serie erzeugen ein vollwertiges Klangfeld, wie es sonst nur bei 5.1 Systemen möglich ist. Hierzu werden die einzelnen Kanäle einer Mehrkanalaufnahme in einem speziellen Verfahren frequenzspezifisch aufbereitet und derart auf zwei Kanäle gemischt, dass bei der Wiedergabe ein räumlicher Surround-Eindruck entsteht. Das bedeutet minimaler Installationsaufwand bei großem Klangvergnügen. Sollte die mitgelieferte Fernbedienung nicht funktionieren, schauen Sie bitte in das Kapitel ,,Problembehebung und Optimierung" auf Seite 18. Packungsinhalt DM 70 Zum Lieferumfang des Digital-Movie-Systems DM 70 gehören folgende Komponenten: 1) 2) 3) 4) 5) Ein aktiver Center-Surround Lautsprecher mit integriertem Audio Receiver. Eine einfach zu bedienende Funkfernbedienung. Ein Kabelsatz zum Anschluss von 2 digitalen und einer analogen Stereoquelle. Ein Netzkabel zur Stromversorgung. Ein Flachbildschirm darf direkt auf dem DM 70 platziert werden. Anschluss der Quellgeräte Die Canton DM-Systeme bieten eine Vielzahl von Anschlussmöglichkeiten für alle gängigen Quellgeräte, wie zum Beispiel DVD-Player, Videorecorder, Satelliten-Receiver, Multimedia-Konsolen (Playstation®, X-Box®, ...) etc. Hierbei werden die Audioanschlüsse Ihrer Quellgeräte mit den entsprechenden Anschlüssen auf der Rückseite des DM 70 verbunden (DVD an DVD, SAT an SAT, usw. ...). Quellgeräte, die über einen digitalen Ausgang für Dolby Digital und DTS Bitstreams verfügen, sollten auch digital mit dem DM System verbunden werden. Dies gewährleistet volle Dolby Digital und DTS Klangqualität. Die Videosignal-Verbindungen werden direkt zwischen den Quellgeräten und dem Bildwiedergabegerät hergestellt. Die Auswahl der wiederzugebenden Bildquelle wird direkt im Auswahlmenu des Bildwiedergabegerätes vorgenommen. Ein digitaler Satelliten-Receiver kann wahlweise über einen optischen oder einen coaxialen Digitaleingang mit dem DM-System verbunden werden. Hierzu muss der gewünschte Eingang auf der Rückseite des DM 70 per Schiebeschalter (OPT/COAX) festgelegt werden. Der PRE-OUT 2.1/5.1 Mode Ausgang ermöglicht den Anschluss zum Beispiel aktiver Funklautsprecher. Je nach gewählter Preset-Einstellung (Seite 17) werden im 2.1 Mode die Frontkanäle und im 5.1 Mode die Surround-Kanäle ausgegeben. - Sub Out, Ausgang zum optionalen Anschluss eines aktiven Subwoofers. Hinweis: Wenn Sie einen aktiven Subwoofer an das DM 70 anschließen, stellen Sie bitte den Pegel (Volume) im ,,Speaker Setup" für den Subwoofer auf -6 dB ein. Am Subwoofer selbst erhöhen Sie bitte den Pegel um 6 dB. Achten Sie darauf, dass Sie die mitgelieferte Batterie entsprechend der Polaritätsmarkierungen (+/-) korrekt eingelegen. Um eine frühzeitige Entladung zu vermeiden, sollten Sie die Batterie nur am +Pol anfassen. Wenn alle Geräte miteinander verbunden sind und der Netzschalter am System eingeschaltet ist, befindet sich das Canton DM-System im StandbyModus. Durch einmaliges Drücken einer beliebigen Taste wird die Fernbedienung aktiviert. Wird sie länger als 30 Sek. nicht benutzt, geht sie in den Ruhezustand über. Durch Drücken einer beliebigen Taste wird sie wieder aktiviert. Durch Drücken von wird das DM-System eingeschaltet bzw. wieder in den Standby-Modus gesetzt. Blinkt die rote Power-Leuchtdiode (LED), besteht keine Funkverbindung zwischen der Fernbedienung und dem System. Überprüfen sie bitte, ob das System eingeschaltet ist bzw. mit Strom versorgt wird oder verringern Sie ggf. die Distanz zwischen der Fernbedienung und dem DM System. Mit kann die Lautstärke des DM-Systems im Hauptmenü in 100 Stufen von 0 ... 99 angepasst werden. Angezeigt werden jedoch nur 11 Wertebereiche. Das DM-System wird in den Standby-Modus versetzt. Hauptmenü Mit den Tasten ,,sat", ,,dvd", ,,tv"und ,,aux" können Sie die Eingänge des DM-Systems direkt umschalten. Mit wählen Sie aus, ob die Tonwiedergabe im Stereo- oder Surround-Modus erfolgen soll. Die Anzeige erfolgt über die drei entsprechenden Leuchtdioden (LEDs). st = Stereo, s1 = Surround1, s2 = Surround2 Das System stellt je nach Eingangssignal automatisch den entsprechenden Dekodier-Modus ein. Im Playmode ,,stereo" werden Analog Stereo oder PCM aktiviert Im Playmode ,,surround 1 und surround 2 / 2.1 Mode": Virtual Dolby Digital, Virtual Dolby Pro Logic II oder Virtual DTS. Im Playmode ,,surround 5.1 Mode": Dolby Digital, Dolby Pro Logic II oder DTS. Hinweis: Um den verschiedenen Aufnahmephilosophien speziell bei Musikaufnahmen Rechnung zu tragen, haben wir zwei Surroundmodi implementiert. Nutzen Sie ,,surround 2" vor allem in Fällen schlechter Sprachverständlichkeit (wenn z.B. die Stimmenwiedergabe ungewohnt dumpf und unverständlich erscheint). 10 Nachdem Sie Ihr DM-System erfolgreich angeschlossen haben, sollten Sie als nächstes die einzelnen Komponenten auf Ihren Hörraum anpassen. Sie dieses bitte ein und drücken Sie zunächst die Taste für Wenn Sie Einstellungen am DM-System vornehmen wollen, schalten ca. 3 Sekunden. Die LED ,,Set" beginnt zu blinken. Zum Verlassen des Setup drücken Sie entweder eine der Input Tasten, erneut die Taste oder warten Sie bis die Fernbedienung nach ca. 30 Sekunden in Ruhezustand (Standby) geht. 11 English Deutsch Einstellen des DIGITAL MOVIE Speaker Setup Speaker Delay (Distance) Messen Sie zunächst die Entfernung zwischen den Einzelkomponenten des DM Systems und Ihrer bevorzugten Hörposition. Die Entfernung wird über die obere Reihe dargestellt. Die Entfernung ist in einem Wertebereich zwischen 1m und 4m mit einer Schrittweite von 0,1m einstellbar. Das System quittiert die Eingabe durch blinken der jeweiligen LED. Dieser ist Achtung! Bevor Sie den Testton aktivieren, stellen Sie die Lautstärke des Systems im normalen Bedienmodus über die einen moderaten Wert (40-50). Dynamische Basskorrektur Die dynamische Basskorrektur des DM-Systems passt gehörtreble physiologisch lautstärkeabhängig die Tieftonintensität an. Bei der Wiedergabe von Kinofilmen empfehlen wir die Einstellungen ,,normal" oder ,,medium" zu nutzen. Bei audiophiler Stereowiedergabe empfehlen wir die Einstellung ,,bypass". Hierzu als Hilfe: bypass normal medium 14 Laufzeitverzögerung Mit lip sync kann das Bild mit dem Ton synchronisiert werden, um z.B. Stimmen an zeitlich verzögerte Mundbewegungen anzupassen. Mit 0ms bis 70ms eingestellt werden. Dynamikanpassung Über die Taste kann die Dynamik des Systems angepasst kann zwischen den werden. Mit Hilfe der Tasten Einstellungen ,,compressed" (komprimiert) und ,,full dynamic" (volle Dynamik) gewählt werden. Der Wertebereich entspricht dem der normalen Wiedergabelautstärke. 16 Das Preset legt fest, in welchem Modus Ihr DM-System betrieben wird. Die Anzeige unterscheidet zwischen funktionsspezifischen und produktspezifischen Eigenschaften. Als Funktionen können ein 2.1 (Werkseinstellung) oder 5.1 Modus erscheinen. Im 5.1 Modus besteht die Möglichkeit ein aktives oder funkgesteuertes (wireless) Lautsprechersystem als Rear Lautsprecher über den ,,2.1 MODE/5.1 MODE" Vorverstärkerausgang zu betreiben. Der Modus ,,5.1 DM 2" und ,,5.1 flat" sollte nicht gewählt werden, da bei dieser Einstellung noch ein zusätzlicher passiver Center-Lautsprecher benötigt wird, der jedoch nicht an dem System angeschlossen werden kann. Dieser ist in den Modi ,,5.1 DM 1", ,,5.1 DM 90" und ,,5.1 DM 70" nicht erforderlich, da hier die Signale von den beiden Front-Lautsprechern wiedergegeben werden. Um den Preset-Modus des Systems zu ändern drücken Sie gleichzeitig für ca. 3 sek. die und Tasten. Über die Tasten können Sie anschließend das Preset verändern. Zum Verlassen des Menüs drücken Sie entweder eine der Input Tasten, erneut die Setup Taste oder warten Sie bis die Fernbedienung nach ca. 30 Sekunden in Ruhezustand (Standby) geht. Die produktspezifischen Eigenschaften beziehen sich auf das von Ihnen erworbene DIGITAL-MOVIE-System. Wählen Sie hier einen der zu Ihrem System passenden Menüpunkte aus. 17 English Deutsch Preset Fernbedienung an DM anmelden Zur Anmeldung der Fernbedienung an das DM System gehen Sie wie folgt vor: 1. Verbinden Sie das DM mit dem Netz und schalten Sie es am Netzschalter ein. Achten Sie darauf, dass das System zuvor für mindestens 20 sec ausgeschaltet war. 2. Drücken Sie bitte innerhalb von 30 sec. nach dem Einschalten nacheinander folgende Tasten a. a b. c. b c Ein positiver Anmeldevorgang wird durch ein gleichzeitiges, zweifaches Blinken der linken und rechten LED in der ersten Reihe quittiert. Ist der Anmeldevorgang fehlgeschlagen blinkt die Standby LED zweimal. Beheben Sie die Fehlerursache (Gerät nicht eingeschaltet, Entfernung zu groß, o.ä) und starten Sie den Vorgang erneut. Select the flattest possible base for your loudspeaker. The tilt angle of the loudspeaker should not exceed 5 degrees. It should also be positioned in a clean, dry location and kept away from direct sunlight, sources of heat, vibrations, high moisture levels or extreme cold. Never open the cabinet. In the case of any problems or defects please contact your dealer or a qualified specialist. To avoid damaging your DM system it should only be operated with the voltage specified on the rating plate. To avoid the risk of fire or electrical shock the DM system should not be exposed to rain or high humidity (> 80%). The equipment complies with the current EMV regulations at an ambient temperature of +10°C... +40°C. Do not exert any force on the operating elements, connections or cables. To move the loudspeaker first unplug the power cable then disconnect from other devices. Always hold the plugs instead of pulling the cables. Never handle the power cable with wet hands. To protect the DM system amplifiers from overheating they must be located at a minimum distance of 5 cm from walls and furniture. Avoid any build-up of heat and never cover your DM system with curtains, tablecloths etc. The DM 70 has magnetic shielding and can therefore be positioned next to your television set. Do not position your DM system near any heat source or open flames (e.g. candles). For safety reasons always unplug the DM system from the mains during long periods of disuse or in case of thunderstorms or possible flooding. Do not place anything on the cabinet of the DM system or in front of the bass reflex opening. Objects can be damaged by movement or vibrations. Do not put any objects or body parts in the opening of the subwoofer. Currentcarrying parts inside the cabinet may be touched and damaged. This can lead to short circuits, electric shocks and potential fires. If any sound distortion occurs, such as unnatural knocking, throbbing or high frequency clicking, reduce the volume immediately. Do not use chemical agents to clean the equipment. Instead use a clean, dry cloth. Sudden changes in temperature may lead to a build up of condensation (water droplets) inside the DM system. Do not use the equipment until the moisture has evaporated (at least 2 hours). The battery in the remote control must be disposed of at a battery collection point. Batteries should be kept out of the reach of children. Batteries shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like. The battery must be inserted correctly according to the polarity. Use only the battery specified for this system (CR2450). Access to the mains socket must be kept clear at all times so that the equipment can be unplugged in case of danger! The user is responsible for the correct installation and connection of the DM system. Your Canton Team System description The Virtual Surround system of the DM Series generates a full sound field that is normally only possible with 5.1 systems. In order to achieve this the individual channels of a multi-channel recording undergo a special frequency-dependent process and are blended into two channels that then create a spatial surround effect, thus achieving maximum sound satisfaction with minimum installation effort. Connecting source devices The Canton DM system offers a multitude of connection possibilities for all current audio sources, such as DVD players, video recorders, satellite receivers, multimedia consoles (Playstation®, X-Box®, ...) etc. The audio connections of your audio source devices can be connected to the relevant inputs on the rear of the DM 70 (DVD to DVD, SAT to SAT, etc. ...). Audio sources that have a digital output for Dolby Digital and DTS Bitstreams can also be digitally connected to the DM system. This ensures full Dolby Digital and DTS sound quality. The video signal connections are made directly between the audio source devices and the image playback device. The required image source is selected using the Menu of the image playback device (3). A digital satellite receiver can be connected to the DM system via an optical or a coaxial digital input. The required input must be selected using the slide switch (OPT/COAX) on the rear of the DM 70. The PRE-OUT 2.1/5.1 Mode output allows devices such as active wireless loudspeakers to be connected. Depending on the chosen preset setting (Page 37) in 2.1 Mode the front channels and in 5.1 Mode the surround channels are used. The Sub Out can be used for the connection of an optional available active subwoofer. Note: When connecting an active subwoofer to the DM 70 go to ,,Speaker Setup" and set the volume of the subwoofer at -6 dB. Increase the level on the subwoofer itself to 6 dB. If the red power light (LED) is flashing this means that there is no wireless connection between the remote control and the system. Check that the system is switched on at the mains or reduce the distance between the remote control and the DM system. By pressing the volume of the DM system in the main menu can be adjusted in 100 stages from 0 ... 99. Only 11 stages will be displayed at any time. Note: In order to accommodate the different recording philosophies unique to music recordings we have implemented two surround modes. To adjust the DM system, turn it on and press the button for about 3 seconds. The LED ,,Set" will start to flash. You can then use the relevant buttons (spk level, spk delay, bass exp...) to activate the desired functions. The values within each function can be adjusted up or down using the ­setup+ buttons. It is possible to set an audio signal delay of 0 to 70ms using the buttons . Dynamics The Using button can be used to adjust the dynamics of the system. it is possible to select either the ,,compressed" or ,,full dynamic" setting. If the device is set to a lower volume when it is turned off this value remains in place. Press the button to set the startup volume. The range corresponds to the normal reproduction volume. 36 The Preset establishes in what mode your DM system will operate. The display differentiates between function-specific and productspecific characteristics. Functions can be 2.1 Mode (factory setting) or 5.1 Mode. In the 5.1 speakers via the ,,2.1 MODE/5.1 MODE" preamplifier output. The mode ,,5.1 DM 2" and ,,5.1 flat" should not be selected, as this setting requires an additional passive center speaker that cannot yet be connected to the system. This does not apply to modes ,,5.1 DM 1", ,,5.1 DM 90" and ,,5.1 DM 70" as here the signals are reproduced by both front speakers.
