Zur Erzielung eines optimalen Klangerlebnisses lesen Sie bitte diese Anleitung aufmerksam durch und beachten folgende Sicherheitshinweise: - Öffnen Sie niemals das Gehäuse der Lautsprecher oder des Netzteils. Im Schadensfall wenden Sie sich bitte an einen autorisierten Canton Fachhändler oder direkt an den Canton Kundendienst. - Verwenden Sie ausschließlich das von Canton mitgelieferte Netzteil. Die Leistung und Polarität des Netzteils ist genau auf den eingebauten Verstärker der Plus Media 3 abgestimmt. Thank you for the confidence you have shown in Canton by purchasing one of our products. For the best possible sound results, please read these instructions carefully and take note of the following safety instructions: - Never open the housing of the loudspeaker or the power unit. In the event of damage, please contact an authorised Canton dealer or the Canton Customer Service directly. - Use only the power unit supplied by Canton with the loudspeaker. The output and polarity of the power unit is matched precisely to the installed amplifier of the Plus Media 3. Lieferumfang / Contents Folgende Komponenten sind im Lieferumfang Ihrer Plus Media 3 enthalten: - 2 x Plus Media 3 Lautsprecher - 1 x Stereokabel mit Klinkenstecker (3,5 mm) - 1 x Stereoadapter (3,5 mm Klinke/Cinch) - 1 x Netzteil - 1 Set Shockabsorber (selbstklebend) The following items are included in your Plus Media 3 set: - 2 x Plus Media 3 loudspeakers - 1 x stereo miniplug cable - 1 x stereo adapter - 1 x AC adapter - 1 set shock absorbers (self adhesive) Anschlußfeld / Terminal 6 1 2 3 4 5 1) SUB OUT: An diesen Ausgang können Sie einen Aktivsubwoofer (z.B. Canton AS 15) anschließen, um so das Klangbild im Bassbereich abzurunden. 2) POWER/VOLUME: Hiermit schalten Sie den Verstärker ein und verändern die Lautstärke der Musikwiedergabe (im Uhrzeigersinn - lauter, gegen den Uhrzeigersinn - leiser). In der Off-Position ist die Plus Media 3 ausgeschaltet. 3) DC IN: An diese Buchse wird das mitgelieferte Netzteil angeschlossen. 4) INPUT: Verbinden Sie diesen Anschluss mit der von Ihnen gewünschten Quelle (z.B. Computer, CD Player...). Benutzen Sie hierfür das mitgelieferte Kabel bzw. verwenden Sie einen entsprechenden Adapter. 5) SPKR OUT: Über diesen Ausgang werden die beiden Plus Media 3 miteinander verbunden. Stecken Sie hierfür das Kabel der zweiten Box in diese Buchse. 6) Betriebsanzeige: Hinter der Abdeckung befindet sich eine Leuchtdiode (LED), die den Betriebszustand der Plus Media 3 zeigt: rot - Stand-by, grün - eingeschaltet. 1) SUB OUT: You can connect an active sub-woofer to this output (e.g. Canton AS 15), in order to round up the tonal response in the bass range. 2) POWER/VOLUME: You turn the amplifier on with this switch, and alter the volume of the music reproduction (clockwise - louder, counter clockwise - quieter). In the OFF position the Plus Media 3 is switched off. 3) DC IN: The power unit provided is connected to this socket. 4) INPUT: The source which you want to use (e.g. computer, CD player, etc.) is attached at this connection. Use the cable supplied to do this, or use an appropriate adapter. 5) SPKR OUT: The two Plus Media 3 units are connected to one another via this output. To do this, insert the cable from the second box into this socket. 6) Operational display: A light diode (LED) is located behind the cover, which indicates the operational state of the Plus Media 3: Red - Stand-by; Green - Switched on. Allgemeine Informationen / General Information Ihre Plus Media 3 ist ein universell einsetzbarer Aktivlautsprecher, der ohne einen zusätzlichen Verstärker betrieben werden kann. Somit eignet sie sich ideal zur Ergänzung eines Computers und gibt Musik von tragbaren CD-, MD-, MC- und DVD-Playern wieder. Außerdem kann man sie auch problemlos an alle gängigen Spielkonsolen, wie Playstation, X-Box und GameCube, anschließen und so den vollen Sound moderner Videospiele genießen. Wie flexibel die Plus Media 3 ist zeigt, auch die Tatsache, dass sie durch einen Aktiv Subwoofer (z. B. Canton AS 15) erweitert werden kann, um so den Dynamikbereich des Allrounders zu erweitern. Als Problemlöser bei der Positionierung hat Canton Wandhalter und Lautsprecherständer im Programm. Diese sind über den Fachhandel zu beziehen. Just how flexible the Plus Media 3 is can be demonstrated by the fact an active sub-woofer (e.g. Canton AS 15) can be fitted as an extension to it, to widen the dynamic range of this great allrounder even further. To solve any problems with positioning, Canton include wall holders and loudspeaker stands in their range, available from your specialist dealer. Installation / Installation Damit Sie in den vollen Genuß Ihrer Plus Media 3 kommen, müßen alle Kabel richtig angeschloßen werden. Gehen Sie dabei wie folgt vor: 1. Verbinden Sie den Eingang (INPUT) Ihrer Plus Media 3 mit der gewünschten Tonquelle (Computer, CD-Player...). Benutzen Sie hierfür das mitgelieferte Stereokabel und wenn nötig auch den Stereoadapter. Beim Auspacken der beiden Lautsprecher werden Sie feststellen, dass sie sich in einigen Details etwas unterscheiden. Alle Anschlüsse und der Lautstärkeregler befinden sich nur an einer der zwei Boxen. Dies ist die ,,Steuerzentrale" Ihrer Plus Media 3. To allow you to enjoy your Plus Media 3 to the full, all the cables need to be properly connected. To do this, follow this procedure: 1. Connect the input (INPUT) of your Plus Media 3 to the sound source of your choice (computer, CD player, etc.). To do this, use the stereo cable supplied and, if necessary, also the stereo adapter. When you unpack the two loudspeakers you will find that they differ slightly in certain details. All the connections and the loudspeaker control unit are packed in only one of the two boxes. This is the "central controller" for your Plus Media 3. 2. Stecken Sie nun das am zweiten Lautsprecher festinstallierte Kabel in die SPRK OUT-Buchse im Anschlußfeld der anderen Box. 3. Schließen Sie nun das Netzteil an den DC-IN-Anschluß an und stecken Sie den Netzstecker in eine Steckdose. Auf der Vorderseite der einen Plus Media 3 muß nun eine Leuchtdiode aufleuchten. Ist dies nicht der Fall, überprüfen Sie nochmals alle Steckverbindungen. 4. Starten Sie nun die Wiedergabe an Ihrer Tonquelle und verändern Sie die Lautstärke der Plus Media 3 am Drehregler der Box. Die Plus Media 3 verfügt über eine Ein- und Ausschaltautomatik. Wird die Tonwiedergabe für mehrere Minuten unterbrochen, schaltet sich der Verstärker der Plus Media 3 automatisch in den Stand-by-Modus. Die Betriebsanzeige wechselt von grün nach rot. Beim Fortsetzen der Tonwiedergabe schaltet sich der Verstärker wieder ein. Dies ist jedoch nur möglich, wenn der Lautstärkeregler auf der Rückseite der Plus Media 3 nicht in der Position OFF steht. 2. Now plug the cable which is permanently fitted to the second loudspeaker into the SPKR OUT socket in the connection unit of the other box. 3. If the sound reproduction is interrupted for several minutes, the amplifier of the Plus Media 3 will automatically switch to stand-by mode. The operating mode display will change from green to red. When the sound reproduction is resumed, the amplifier will switch itself on again. This is only possible, however, if the loudspeaker control on the rear of the Plus Media 3 is not in the OFF position.
