When the inside of the car is very cold and the player is used soon after switching on the heater, moisture may form on the disc or the optical parts of the player and proper playback may not be possible. If moisture forms on the disc, wipe it off with a soft cloth. If moisture forms on the optical parts of the player, do not use the player for about one hour. The condensation will disappear naturally allowing normal operation. 2. Driving on extremely bumpy roads which cause severe vibration may cause the sound to skip. [RESET] button · Press under the following conditions. 1. Nothing happens when buttons are pressed. 2. Display is not accurate. [A] button · Press and hold the button for 1 second or longer to turn the loudness on or off. · Use the button to switch to the audio mode (bass/mid/treble, balance/fader adjustment) [SPE/ANA] button [TAPE EJECT] [CD EJECT] · Press to change the spectrum analyzer display. [BND] button · Switches the band, or seek tuning or manual tuning while in the radio mode. · Plays a first track while in the CD mode. · In tape mode, changes the side played (direction of tape travel). [BND] button · Plays a first track. [TAPE IN] · Cassette tape insertion slot. [AF] button · Press the button to turn on or off the AF (Alternative Frequency) function. · When the button is pressed and held, Reginal function can select ON or OFF. [TA] button · Use the button to set the TA (Traffic Announcement) standby mode. [RDM] button · Performs random play while in the CD mode. · Select Dolby noise reduction while in the tape mode. [SCN] button · Performs preset scan while in the radio mode. When the button is pressed and held, auto store is performed. (This function is only TV tuner.) [TAPE EJECT] button [AF] [A] [RESET] [M] [PTY] [T] · Ejecting a tape. [RPT] button · Plays repeatedly while in the CD mode. · In the tape mode, enables repeat play. When held depressed for one second or more, enables blank-skip mode. [CD EJECT] button · Ejecting a CD. [AF] button · Press the button to turn on or off the AF (Alternative Frequency) function in the DAB mode. (This function is only DAB tuner.) [PTY] button · Use the button to set the PTY (Programme Type) standby mode or PTY items. [PTY] button · Use the button to set the PTY (Programme Type) standby mode or PTY items in the DAB mode. · Switches the TV picture mode or VTR (external) picture mode. [SCN] button · Performs preset scan while in the radio mode. When the button is pressed and held, auto store is performed. · Performs scan play for 10 seconds for each track while in the CD mode. [SCN] button · Performs scan play for 10 seconds for each track. Disc scan play is performed when the button is pressed and held. [TA] button · Use the button to set the TA (Traffic Announcement) standby mode in the DAB mode. (This function is only DAB tuner.) [ ], [ ] buttons [M] button · Use to change and store items in preset memory. · Selects a station while in the radio mode or selects a track when listening to a CD. These buttons are used to make various settings. [RPT] button · Performs repeat play. When this button is pressed and held, disc repeat play is performed. [PRESET] knob · Stores a station into memory or recall it directly. [PRESET] knob · Stores a station into memory or recall it directly while in the radio mode. · In adjust modes, use to select items for adjustment. Note: To operate [PRESET] knob: 1. Turn knob about 30 deg. (adjust item will change). 2. Release finger (knob will return to original position). 3. Turn knob again (adjust item will change).
