To delete all images hold down the Select/ok button for a minimum of 2 seconds while in Delete mode. 7. To return to image capture mode, wait 5 seconds and the camera will return automatically. FROM THE MMC Follow the steps above. Note: When the MMC is present the blinking pie segment represents groups of images. You may have to delete several images before a pie segment is eliminated.
TURNING THE CAMERA ON
The lens slide cover turns the camera on and off and functions as the camera's power switch. Once the power is on, the LCD display located on the top of the camera will illuminate. 1. To turn the camera on, simply slide the cover. 2. To turn the camera off, slide the cover back to the original closed position. The camera will automatically power off after 3 minutes of inactivity. To repower the camera, slide the lens cover to the closed position and then open again.
USING THE MMC
Your camera has the ability to store images on a Multi Media storage card (MMC) that can easily be inserted into the camera. When the MMC is present the icon illuminates and the camera uses the MMC as its default memory. The pie segments represent the amount of memory used on the MMC. If you purchased an optional MMC, you must first format the MMC card according to MMC Association VFAT specifications before it can be used. Please refer to the documentation shipped with your host device for MMC VFAT formatting instructions. The host device is the appliance to which you are transmitting an image such as a mobile phone, PDA or PC. 1. Insert the MMC into the MMC port, located in the battery compartment, in the direction specified on the card. 2. If the camera's internal memory contains images, these images will automatically transfer to the MMC until the internal memory is empty or the MMC is full. 3. When the MMC is full, all the pie segments will blink.
TAKING PICTURES
The camera's default setting is Auto Flash mode. If you wish to disable Auto Flash or choose another flash option, follow the directions located in the OPERATING THE FLASH section. 1. Turn the camera on by sliding the lens cover to the open position. The Camera Mode Icon on the LCD Display will illuminate indicating the camera is ready for picture taking. 2. Look through the viewfinder. In order to insure that the image is in focus, stand at least 2 feet (60 cm) away from your subject. 3. Gently press the Select/ok button until it clicks. During picture capture, hold the camera still while the red LED indicator, next to the viewfinder, illuminates. 4. The LED will stop blinking indicating the camera is now ready to take the next picture. When operating the camera without a Multi Media storage card (MMC), the LCD Frame Counter will indicate the picture has been stored by illuminating a segment of the pie. When the MMC is inserted into the camera, it may take several pictures to illuminate a pie segment. Never turn your camera off while the LED is illuminated or blinking.
TRANSFERRING PHOTOS WIRELESSLY WITH THE INFRARED PORT
This digital camera has an image data transfer function that allows you to exchange recorded images wirelessly via infrared beam with an Ir-TRAN-P compatible digital device like a PC, PDA or mobile phone. FROM INTERNAL MEMORY 1. Align the infrared transmitters/receivers of both units to the same height and angle the devices at a distance of 10 cm (depending on the receiving unit). 2. Prepare the host device or receiving unit and make sure that it is set to Receive mode (see receiving unit manual for details). 3. Choose the Ir Icon from the LCD menu by using the Menu Up/Down buttons. 4. Press the Select/ok button on the camera and image transmission will begin. 5. During image transmission, the red LED next to the viewfinder will illuminate while the connection is being established and remain on during file transfer. 6. To send additional images press the Select/ok button immediately after the red LED light terminates. 7. To transfer all stored images, hold down the Select/ok button for at least 2 seconds. FROM THE MMC Follow the steps above. Note: When the MMC is present the blinking pie segment represents a group of images. You may have to transmit several images before a pie segment stops blinking indicating that the images have been sent to another device.
OPERATING THE FLASH
Your camera has two flash settings, AUTO FLASH and NO FLASH. Auto Flash eliminates the need to turn the flash on or off.
AUTO FLASH 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6.
NO FLASH
Auto Flash is the default setting. To operate the camera in No Flash mode use the Menu Up/Down buttons to scroll to the Auto Flash Icon. Press Select/ok. Use the Menu Up/Down buttons to choose the No Flash Icon. Press Select/ok to confirm your choice. You are now ready to take pictures.
