Configuration is based on the type of power availability. Use the ST-PC with a 120V power supply and the STI-PC with a 220V power supply. For purposes of this Operations Guide, the term ST-PC is used for either configuration, except where noted. The ST-PC is a dual power controller that switches AC power on and off at two independent AC sockets mounted on the unit. Each socket is tied to a relay that is able to support a combined load (sockets A and B) of 10 Amp, maximum (6 Amp, maximum, for the STI-PC). There are several unique features of the ST-PC. · · · Two momentary pushbutton switches on the front panel of the unit can be programmed to toggle the relays via the control system. The pushbutton switches locally toggle a relay when the control system is inactive. During network activity, the relays assume the state dictated by the control system. Functional Summary · Two momemtary pushbuttons to toggle the relays · Two network connectors for daisy-chaining units · Rack mountable with optional ST-RMK (1 space height) The ST-PC is used as part of a Cresnet® control system. Use of the supplied power pack is optional. NOTE: When connected to both the Cresnet power and the external power supply, the Cresnet power is disconnected. Operations Guide DOC. 5708A Dual AC Power Control Module: ST-PC · 1 Dual AC Power Control Module Crestron ST-PC AC power is supplied via a 3-wire line cord (no plug on the STI-PC configuration). This power is solely for the purpose of powering the loads attached to the POWER A and B ports. Specifications The following table provides a summary of specifications for the ST-PC module. Physical Description The ST-PC, shown in the following illustrations, is housed in a black enclosure with labels on the front and rear panels. There are four LEDs on the front panel that indicate the unit's current status. There are also two momentary pushbutton switches that are used to toggle the relay states. The two switches are located to the right of the POWER A/B LEDs on the front panel. All connections are made on the back of the unit. The proper domestic and international power cords and plugs are used on the ST-PC and STI-PC, respectively. Refer to the physical views shown below. There are four rubber feet on the base of the unit for stability and to prevent slippage. When the module is part of the Cresnet system, power may be supplied via NET if within system power and cable length limits; the supplied power pack is optional and need not be attached. Two NET ports are available so that network units can be daisy-chained together. Review the latest revision of the Network Modular Cable Requirements (Doc. 5682). Illumination indicates that the SIMPL Windows program currently loaded has a network device defined with the same network ID as the ST-PC. POWER A This LED illuminates when the unit plugged into the POWER A three-prong socket connector at the back panel is on (relay is engaged). A momentary pushbutton switch toggles the A relay between its two states when the control system is inactive. When the control system is active, the LED is under program control and must have its functionality programmed. Refer to "ST-PC Symbol in Programming Manager" for signal assignment details. The signal driven from the button is high for the duration of the button press and goes low when the button is released. These codes are two-digit hexadecimal numbers from 03 to FE. The Net ID of each unit must match an ID code specified in the SIMPL Windows program. Refer to "Setting the Net ID in Device Settings" on page 11 for details of the SIMPL Windows procedure. Refer to the note on page 12 for a definition of Viewport. The Net ID of the ST-PC has been factory set to 2C, The Net IDs of multiple STPCs in the same system must be unique. Net IDs are changed from a personal computer (PC) via the Crestron Viewport.
