A national patent has been filed for the So easy hDMi. Any imitation will be considered as pirating, and the person responsible will have to assume the legal consequences. The So easy hDMi complies with the security standards pertaining to low tension electronic devices, to the Standard Part 15 Class B fCC American certification, and the certificate of the european Union Ce to Standard en55022 Class B, en61000-6-3, en61000-6-1. The labels with the serial # on the product and its package are important for the guarantees covering malfunctions and have to be presented for any repairs. The company will not perform any repairs if these labels are damaged or illegible. As for after-sales service, the guarantee covers a standard exchange for up to seven days and repairs for 2 years. not all types of surroundings are suitable for this device. After-sales service is applicable only if the quality has been respected and under the terms of the guarantee. WARningS 1. Thanks for using So easy hDMi ! Please read this manual carefully before you start to use it. in addition, please keep this manual well. 2. The actual operations, controls and menu items might be different from this manual. The manufacturer has no responsibility to update it immediately. Please take the product as standard. 3. Please don't repair or uninstall the unit by yourself, if any damage to be caused we refuse to provide you free after-sale service. 4. Please use the unit in normal condition, away from high temperature, high pressure, magnetism, loudspeaker, humidity; and avoiding water or chemical liquid dropping into the unit, which will cause serious damagement. While the unit is working, please don't laid heavy objects upon it 5. Please laid the unit flat when it is working. it is normal for the unit body releasing heat. 6. Please use power adaptor for power supply when you connect the unit to Tv, computer display or other multimedia output devices. 7. Please remove out the battery from the remote controler when you don't use it for long time. When the battery is used out, please replace a new one in same model. Take good care of wasted battery. 8. Please turn off the unit following below steps while it is working: Press stop key--press power off key(Blue led is on)--cut off the power supply. Don't cut off the power directly while the unit is working. it may cause unexpectable damagement to the unit. 9. We are not responsible for the data missing while using. Press the button to play pictures and musics in the music and picture menu of root directory of hard drive directly. 2. a) Press the"slideshow"and"ok" or "play/ Pause"button to play pictures and background musics in the file menu of root directory b) Press the "slideshow"button to select the background music,then press "Ok" to picture to play the selected music and pictures in the file menu. enter into OSD setup menu press the button to enter Movie Menu,all movies are shown in directory structure press the button to enter Music Menu,all musics are shown in directory structure press the button to enter Picture Menu,all Pictures are shown in directory structure press the button to enter file Menu,all files are shown in directory structure Set up Movie Music Picture file Remote Control Operation: - Please put the battery into the remote control before use. Please change battery when the remote control doesn't work. - Please operate the remote control within 7 meters and 60degrees'angle away from the unit. The enviroment lightness can affact the remote control's working range. Power supply - Please use AC power supply and make sure enough power - Don't use different voltage, which may damage the unit. - Don't cut off the power while the unit is still working. Otherwise it may cause serious damagement to the hard drive. Please make sure the unit is in standby mode before cutting off the power. - it still consumes a little power when the unit stays in standby mode. 9 5. USing The DeviCe The default language setting on your So easy hDMi is english. To change the language please follow the instructions below: 1) Turn on the So easy hDMi 2) Main menu 3) Press SeTUP button on the remote control 4) go on OSD language. 5) Choose your language. 6) Press SeTUP to finish and exit. 10 5.1 Connecting the device Connect the unit to AC power supply by the power adaptor. When the blue led turns on, it starts working. (PC) USB 2.0 HDMI AV / YPbPr Coaxial POWER USB-HOST 11 To use the Av output mode: Choose Av as the output mode for the television. Press the viDeO key on the So easy hDMi remote to select Av (CvBS) OUT mode. The menu will appear on the television screen. To use the YPbPr output mode: Choose YPbPr as the output mode for the television. Press the viDeO key on the So easy hDMi remote to select YPbPr OUT mode. The menu will appear on the television screen. Also connect the Av cable for sound (white and red) since the YPbPr cable only transmits the image. The menu will appear on the television screen. Also connect the Av cable for sound (white and red) since the YPbPr cable only transmits the image. To connect to a hDMi monitor and use the hDMi output: Press the viDeO key on the remote to switch to hDMi mode. The menu will appear on the television screen. 6. inSTRUCTiOn fOR SOfTWARe SYSTeM Before basic operation, please set up hDD player as you like. Setup menu makes hDD player characteristic: adjust Tv format, language etc. Once you finish setup, the unit will work under it. The setup will be restored, even if power cut off unless you reset it. 6. 1. After the power and Av cable has been connected, switch power on/off. The unit will start automatically data-reading with blue light on. When reading finishes, screen displays a menu as in below picture: Press directional keys to select item and «enter» key to confirm. 6. 2. Press «set up» button on the remote controller, setup menu appears on screen as below: press directional keys (up,down,left,right) to select item, then press «enter» key to confirm highlighted selection. Tv type : The Tv mode is originally setup on «Multi system». if the video images play unstably or not clearly,pls resetup the Tv mode.in europe,pls select PAL 6. 4. Tv display: You can choose «4:3 P/S», «4:3 L/B» or «16:9 LARge» to enjoy different visions. 6. 5. video ouput: when connect to Tv by Av or Y.U.v.Cable, setup to CvBS or Ypbpr output. 6. 6. Resolution: You can choose nTSC (480i,480p), PAL(576i, 576p), 720p,1080i for different video output solution. 14 6. 7. Subtitle : select your preferred subtitle language. 6. 8. SPDif Output : select SPDif Off,SPDif/RAW or SPDif/PCM to work 15 6. 9. Auto Play Mode : Auto Play On and Off to play files in the file menu directly when power on. 6. 10. Screen Saver : Screen Saver on and Off for screen saver. 6. 11. 1 System information : to view the version of firmware. 6. 11. 2. Softwre upgrade The software of the unit is upgradeable. We will provide you the newest software on our website or throught other ways. Please operate according to following procedures: a. Copy the software rom. file to the root directory of USB flash Drive or other external memory device. b. Connect usb flash drive to the unit by USB hOST,enter into setup menu ­ System information,Press "right" button of direction key of remote control,and Press"Ok"to start upgrading. 16 c. After finishing the upgrading,the unit will restart automatically. Warnings:when updating, please don't cut off power,otherwise the unit would both be damaged. 6. 12. Defaults setup: Reset all settings to default. 6. 13. exit setup: exit setup function or push Setup button. 17 7. PLAY fUnCTiOn Select hard disk or external memory in the initial screen menu to enter a second screen menu as in below picture. Choose movie ,music, photo or file to start playing. 7. 1. Movie menu Choose Movie, the movie list appear, with the preview of the selected film on the right window. When the film is playing, you can choose the previous and next film by pressing «PReW» and «neXT» title key on the remote controller; Press fast forward end back forward key to fast review the movie backward or forward at the optional mode of 2X, 4X, 6X, 8X or 16X. When play the Movie, press «zoom» key and «fWD» or «Rev» key, you can zoom in, press"Display"key of the remote control,you can choose"Chapter elapsed", "Chapter Remain" and"Off",press"ok"key of the remote control,you can choose"equalizer on", "equalizer off"and "Off", press «s-mode» key of the remote controller, you can choose the music mode as Personal,Standard, Classic, Jazz, Rock. Pops. Ballad and Dance, the original sat up is Standard. When play DvD, it can switchover between R & L audio channel or stereo sound. 18 7. 2. Music menu Choose Music, the music list appears and start play. if choose one song and press «S-mode» key on the remote controller, the equalizer will appear. The subtitle under the same name will play automatically. When play the Music, press"Display"key of the remote control,you can choose"Chapter elapsed","Chapter Remain"and"Off", press"ok"key of the remote control,you can choose"equalizer on", "equalizer off"and "Off", press «s-mode» key of the remote controller, you can choose the music mode as Personal,Standard, Classic, Jazz, Rock. Pops. Ballad and Dance, the original sat up is Standard. in the Music menu slideshowing is on, it will play the background music and pictures automatically. 7. 3. Photo menu Choose Picture, the picture list will appear with the preview of the selected picture on the right. When you choose any picture to browse, press "zoom" key and "fWD" or "Rev" key, you can zoom in, zoom out.Press"Rotate"key,you can circumgyrate the picture. Whan playing picture, Press"S-TiMe" key to Select Slideshow interval time (1, 3, 5, 10 Second), Press "S-MODe"key to select slideshow transition mode between the photos (14 Modes), in the photo menu slideshowing is on, it will play the picture and background music automatically. WARNING: when it is1080i output ,Picture can not Zoom,Rotate and S-mode. 19 7. 4. file menu Choose fiLe from the menu, enter into the target file list of the hard disk and choose the file to play. Also you can press the Display of the remote controller to do the operation as copy, copy,move, delete, rename,create new folder, show properties, and cancel the operation by pressing"up"/"down" keys of the remote controller. in the file menu,you can play movie,music picture and slideshow function. DigiTAL COMPAniOn fUnCTiOn Copy function 8. 1. One Button Copy function The unit support copy files in the external memory devices ( such as card reader, USB flash Drive and etc.) to fAT32 partition of internal hard disk.it will create a folder(such as USB 001) automatically for the whole external file copied. 8. 2. Copy function under Display menu Press the "Target" button to select the copy destination,come to selected file and then press"Display"button, come to "copy" in the display menu and press "Ok". 9. hOST OUTPUT it is capable of connecting external USB storage devices like U-DiSK,card reader, MP3&4, hard disk, etc. it is also able to read and play what stored in those external devices. 23 11. QUeSTiOn & AnSWeR Q1: The unit gets hot when it works. is it anormal? A: it is a normal phenomena for the unit to release heat, So please make sure nothing cover the unit to stop it releasing heat normally. Q2: After connected to power, the indicator light is off and unit doesn't work either, why? A: Check the power cable to see if it is destroyed. Also check whether you have properly connected to power supply. Or it might be no power supply at all. Q3: Power indicator light is on but the unit still doesn't work. Why? A: Your operating procesure might be incorrect. Please reconnect the power or reswitch the power key on the panel. Q4: When the unit is turned on, no image display or color band appears or out of range. 1. Please check whether the Av cable is properly connected. 2. The unit's video output mode doesn't match the display. Please press «Tv Out" Key to to switch on right mode. 3. The display's video input is not in correct mode. Please switch on right mode(video or Av). 4. The Av cable is not well connected. Please reconnect. Q5: no volume, why? A: Audio cable is not well connected. Please reconnect. it also might be the problem with original audio file. Please check it also. Q6: Playing picture is rolling up. The picture quality is poor. A: Reset up the Tv format such as nTSC, PAL. Power off first, select correct Tv or display format. The other possible reason is the poor quality of the original video file. Q7. Why the remote control doesn't work? A: 1. Remote battery has no power. Change battery please. And make sure use the same size battery. 2.The battery is not well installed. Please reinstall it according to the manul. 3. Operate the remote controler in too long distance or too big angle. Please operate within 7m and ±30degree. 4. Please point at the unit when use the remote controller. Otherwise, it won't Work. 5. There is obstacle between the controler and unit. Please remove the obstacle and operate again. A 24 Q8. the computer can't read the hard disk, how to solve it? A: 1. The hard disk is the first time to use, please format it first. 2. The hard disk is the first time to use, and the Master & Slaver disk cable is not correctly selected. Please select Master hard disk. 3. if the computer USB can't provide enough power supply, the hard disk will makes noise, if so, please check whether the Computer's relative hardware have upgraded or not. Or you can buy USB2.O hUB to solve this problem also. Q9: Downloaded movies from the internet are mostly in .rm/.rmvb format. But the unit can't play. how to solve it? A: So far, only PC, PDA, PDA mobile phone based on Windows/WinCe/Linux system are capable of playing real media files. But you can make use of winAv17/Wismencoder super transfer 2.7software to solve this problem. Q10: i downloaded a DivX movie and its subtitle. But how can i open the subtitle when i watch the movie? A: Please make sure the subtitle and movie file have same file name and are stored in same folder. Then the movie will play with subtitle displaying. This unit only supports subtitle in SRT, SUB format. for other formats, they have to be transferred. Q11: i can not change video out in setup menu,why ? A: When you plug hDMi cable to Tv (no matter you play by hdmi outout or not).you can not change the video out in setup menu.video out in setup menu can be changed only when without hdmi cable connecting to Tv. 25 www.danedigital.com www.dane-elec.com
