1. Downloading the driver file from Daytek Homepage 1) Go to http://www.daytek.ca/ws-131u.html 2) Click Installation Files, then File Download windows will appear. Select "Save this program to disk", then click "OK". 3) Click "My Computer", then "[C:]". 1 4) You are downloading the installation driver to your C: HDD. 5) You can find "ws-131u.exe" on your C: HDD. 2 6) Double click "ws-131u.exe", then WinZip Self-Extractor will ask you type "Unzip to folder:". Type "c:\ws-131u", then click "Unzip". 7) Now Unzip is finished. Click "OK", then click "Close". 3 2. Driver Installation (Windows 98/SE Only) 1) Connect Daytek WS-131U to PC' USB port. A "Mass-storage device" will be detected and the following dialog box s "Add New Hardware Wizard" will appear on your screen. Click "Next". 2) Select "Search for the best driver for your device" and click "Next". 4 3) Select "Specify a location" and type "c:\ws-131u". Click "Next". 4) Dialog box will show Windows has located the USB driver in C: HDD. Click "Next". 5 5) Click "Finish" to complete the installation. - If the device is installed correctly, the following icon appears in the task bar. - Now you are ready to use the new External Portable Hard Disk Drive (HDD). 6
