Daytek Z-500 Home Theater System Q&A 1-1. Some speakers have no sound. l Due to stereo broadcasting and stereo recording, FM stereo, TV stereo and CD stereo only have only front left and right sound. This is normal. You need a source of 5.1 channel. To make all speakers have sound under FM stereo, TV stereo and CD stereo, set Prologic to On: - Press SETUP in remote control - Go to More Aud - Go to Prologic - Select On or simply hit the Prologic button on the remote control to turn it ON/OFF. Factory default is ` Prologic off' . 1-2. If Audio AC3 remains at 5.1 Channel: l Using 5.1 channel speakers (DVD Movie with 5.1 Surround recording): All speakers and subwoofer have sound. Surround effect. No sound on your TV speakers. Using 2.1 channel speakers (DVD Movie with 5.1 Surround recording): Set Audio on OSD to 2.1 Channel. Under Audio, set AC3 to 2.1 Channel. Unit will merge 5.1 channel sound to 2.1 channel. Sound on your TV speakers. l 2. If you messed up the settings in the unit, you can reset back to factory setting: - Press SETUP in remote control - Go to Rating - Go to Load Factory Reset - Press ENTER (will reset to factory setting) 3. No Video on TV after video wire was connected: l User may press P-SCAN button on the remote control mistakenly. Press P-SCAN button for 1 or 2 times until picture shows on TV. Note: P-SCAN button on remote only works in STOP mode. Press once to show status Press twice to change; S-Video, YUV, YPbPr, S-Video in sequence Do not press button too fast. Please leave 2 to 3 seconds as interval. 4. Black and white with rolling picture on TV: l User may press N/P button on the remote control mistakenly. Please press N/P for 1 or 2 times until color and stable picture shows on TV again.
