Connection
Handset batteries must be fully charged before registration to the main base unit. 1. Connect the charger's mains adapter* to an electrical wall socket. 2. Remove the battery cover from the back of the handset. Insert the batteries into the handset ensuring correct battery polarity is observed. Replace the battery cover. 3. Charge the handset batteries without interruption for 24 hours initially (thereafter fully discharged batteries will take 10 hours to recharge). *Use adapter Model S090050D31 only for the base unit and S060015D22 for the extra charger (+1 only).
Wall mounting
The charger can be wall mounted using two horizontally mounted screws, 49mm apart. The screw heads should then fit into the two "keyholes" on the back of the charger unit.
Registration
This handset must be registered to the main base unit. 1. Hold down the paging button j on the base unit for a few seconds until the indicator Q/7 starts flashing. Registration mode will remain active for one minute. 2. Scroll to BASE SUB. Press p/ OK. 3. Select the number for the desired base unit by pressing the corresponding keypad button 1- 4. 4. The display shows SEARCHING. 4. The base unit RFPI code is shown. Press p/ OK. 5. Enter PIN number (0000 when supplied). Press p/ OK. 6. If the registration is successful the handset will return to standby mode in a few seconds.

Intercom
When using several handsets with the same base unit, calls can be made internally between the handsets, referred to as internal calls, or intercom. Internal calls can only be made between handsets connected to the same base unit 1. Press p. 2. INTERCOM is shown. Press p/ OK. 3. Enter the allocated number of the handset that you wish to call, 1 - 5. Should an external call come in while an internal call is in progress, a tone will be heard. You can then terminate the internal call by pressing q and then receive the external call by pressing q again.
Transferring calls between handsets
An external call can be transferred from one handset to another (they must both be using the same base unit). 1. With an external call connected. 2. Initiate an intercom call as described above. 3. To transfer the external call, press q on the calling handset. If you decide not to transfer the call, press } on the calling handset to return to the external caller.
