GENERAL SAFETY
Read this manual carefully and make sure you understand the instructions given. For your safety, know what the reaction upon each action will be. Do not perform any actions which are not described in this manual, failing to do so might result in an uncontrolled behavior of the receiver or even in a hazardous situation for persons and/or equipment. Disconnect the receiver from the mains before you start any maintenance or installation procedures. Do not use alcohol or ammonia based liquids to clean the receiver. If required, clean with a soft lint-free cloth slightly made damp with a mild soap solution. Consult an authorized service technician if the receiver does not operate normally when the instructions in this user manual are strictly followed. Do not to attempt to open the receiver, as you will be exposed to a shock hazard. Do not put any objects on top of the receiver which could fall through the ventilation slots or which could cover them and prevent proper cooling of the components inside. Do not put any (foreign) objects into the ventilation slots. This can cause fire or an electrical shock by shorting the internal components. Make sure that nothing rests on the receivers cables and that the cables are not located where they can cause injury to persons and pets (e.g to stumble over, eat the cable). Do not install the receiver: s in a closed or poorly ventilated cabinet; s directly on top of or under another equipment; s on a surface which will obstruct the ventilation slots. Do not expose the receiver and it's accessories: s to rain or excessive moisture to avoid the risk of shock or permanent damage to your receiver; s to direct sunlight, heaters, stoves or any other heat generating equipment; s to any magnetic objects, such as speakers, electric motors, transformers, etc.; s to excessive vibration. To help avoid possible damage to the receiver's electronics: s wait 5 seconds after you switched off the receiver before you move the receiver or disconnect any equipment;

ELECTRICAL SAFETY
When using or connecting electrical equipment always observe the safety regulations applicable in your country to reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock, and personal injury. Read and comply at least with the given safety instructions. s Always make sure that the electrical power supply corresponds with the voltage on the electrical identification plate at the rear of the receiver next to the electrical cord. s Your receiver is double insulated and complies with the EN 50144; therefore no additional earth wire is required, though the use of an earth leak switch and/or over voltage protection switch is recommended. s Only use an approved extension (convenience) lead suitable for the electrical power consumption of the installed equipment.
