Follow these instructions lower the spare tire: to 1. One sideof the ratchet has anUP marking. The other side hasa DOWN marking. Assemblethe ratchet tothe hook nearthe end of the jack handle you. (as illustrated) with the DOWN marking facing Insert the other end through the hole the rear bumper into the hoist shaft. in and
2. Turn the ratchet to lower the spare tire the ground. Continue to to turn the be ratchet untilthe spare tire can pulled out from under the vehicle.

To Restore Spare or Flat Tire:
1. Lay the tire on the ground atthe rear of the vehicle. Position the tire so that the valve stemis pointed down and to the rear.
2. Tilt the retainer downwardand through the wheel opening. Make sure the retainer is fully seated across underside of the wheel. the
3. Attach the ratchet, with the UP marking facingyou, near the hook at the end of the jack handle illustrated. Insert the other end,on an angle, as
through the hole in the rear bumperand into the hoist shaft.
4. Raise the tire fully againstthe underside of vehicle. Continue turning the ratchet untilthere are two "clicks"or "ratchets." The spare tire hoist cannot be over-tightened.
5. Grasp and push against the tire to be sure it is stored securely and does
not move.

Seats and Seat Controls
This section tellsyou about the seats how to adjust them, and fold them up and down. It also tells about reclining front seatbacks and head you restraints.
Manual Front Seat

If your vehicle has a manual bucket, split bench, orfull bench seat, you can adjust it with this lever atthe front of the seat.
Slide the lever at the front of the seat toward the passenger side to unlock it. Using yourbody, slide the seat to where you want it. Then,release the lever and try to move the seatwith your body, to make sure the seat is locked in place.
Power Driver's Seat (Option)
If your vehicle has a
power seaton the driver's side, you can adjust it with this switch at the outside edge of the seat.
You can usethe round centerswitch knob to move the seat where you want move the knobup. To lower the seat, move the knob it. To raise the seat, down. To move theseat forward, move the knob toward the front of the rear of the vehicle. To move the seat rearward, move the knob toward the vehicle. You can also raise lower the front and rear of the seat. To raise the front and of the seat, move the front switch lever up. To lower the front of the seat, move the front switch lever down.To raise therear of the seat, move the rear switch lever up. To lower the rear of the seat, move the rear switch lever down.

Power Lumbar Adjustment
If you have power lumbar adjustment, you can increase or decrease lumbar support in an areaof the lower seatback.
To increase support, press and hold the frontthe rocker switch. Let of of go the switchwhen the lower seatback reaches the desired level of support.
To decrease support,press and hold the rear of the rocker switch. Let of go the switchwhen the lower seatback reaches desired level of support. the
Reclining Front Seatbacks
To adjust theseatback, lift the front this of lever.

But don't have a seatback reclined if your vehicle is moving.
A CAUTION:
Sitting ina reclined position when your vehicle is in motion can be dangerous. Evenif you buckle up, your safety belts can't do their jobwhen you're reclined like this. The shoulder belt can't do its job because it won't be against your body. Instead, itwill be in front you. In a crash you of could go into it, receiving neck other injuries. or The lap belt can't do its job either. crash the belt could a In go up over your abdomen. The belt forces would be there, not at your pelvic bones. This could cause serious internal injuries. For proper protection when the vehicle is in motion, have the seatback upright. Then sit back in the seat and wear your well safety belt properly.
Seatback Latches (Base Level Bench Seat)
