Maintenance and Care
The total construction of the unit guarantees maintenance-free operation over a long period of time. If a problem should arise, please consult your nearest dealer. Clean the screen only with a soft, dust-binding and anti-static cloth. Polish and cleaning solution can damage the surface of the screen. The recording head must be free of dust and particles so as to avoid loss of the treble responses You should therefore clean the recording head with a cleaning cassette after every 50 to 100 operating hours.

Installing the Set These operating instructions assume that your car radio has been correctly connected and installed by your dealer. If you wish to install the unit yourself, you should read the information in "Installation and Removal" on pages 7/8 and refer to the illustrations at the beginning of these instructions. Traffic Safety Familiarize yourself with the various functions of your car radio before starting off on a journey (for example, learn how to store a station). Switching On/Off  with the ignition/starter switch You can use the car's ignition/starter switch to switch the radio on and off after it has been switched on with the OI/VOLUME-multi-function control (see supply voltages / A4 +12 V stand by voltage, page 8).  on the car radio You can use the OI/VOLUME-multi-function control to switch the radio on and off when the car radio  is turned on with the ignition/starter switch or  is not connected to the ignition/starter switch. Models/Colour Variants This user manual provides the description for the models SCC 1500 VD, SCC 1501 and SCC 1502 VD. The models SCC 1500 VD and SCC 1502 VD differ only in their colour.
