The AV-612LCD is a HDD-based portable audio-video devise that allows you to watch, listen and view digital media content of movie, music and photo anytime, anywhere. With 3.5 hours of battery life on movie playback you can either enjoy the content you already stored in the AV612LCD's enormous hard disk drive on its 3.5 inch TFT-LCD screen or on your home entertainment big screen TV or even on projector. Charging Your AV-612LCD for The first time
Place your AV-612LCD onto the cradle/docking base and plug in the AC/DC adaptor provided. Initial charging to full capacity will take about 8 hours and subsequent charging will be approximately 5 hours. Upon full charge, the charging indicator will turn off automatically.

To charge directly on the unit, just plug in the AC/DC adaptor directly onto the DC port located on the side of the AV-612LCD.

Quick Guide To Function Keys & 4-Way Rocker Switch
1.Right Function Key
Select A one-touch function key for all command executions. Pause/Resume During movie and music playback. Zoom One-push command and followed by left/right push of the 4-way rocker switch for scaleup and scale-down. Move/Pen One-push command and followed by the left/right and up/down push of the 4-way rocker switch to move picture. Rotate One-push command and followed by left/right push of the 4-way rocker switch for clockwise and anti clock-wise rotation. Save for pre-set and soft keyboard functions execution Enter for soft keyboard functions execution.

7. Volume Dial Doubled As Pre-Set Key During Playback
1. During playback of movie, music or photo, one push on the volume dial allows you to access the quick pre-set function such as: LCD Brightness, Contrast, Balance, Bass, Treble, etc) 2. After selecting a pre-set function, just toggle the volume dial up or down for your preference. 3. exit the pre-set menu after selection of the saturation option.
8. Volume Dial Functions during Photo Viewing
1. Toggle down wards the volume dial to view 4 slides at one time. 2. To view full screen size of any one picture, you can either toggle down wards again the volume dial or by pressing on the Select key when you land on the picture of your choice. 3. To go back to one-picture viewing just toggle downwards.

Set-up MOD

Getting to know the symbols
Folders Folders contain all the individual Files that you have saved under the Folder that you created. Parent Folder From Parent Folder you will access the root of your resident hard disk drive where all your files are stored.
"File List"
From the Folder List press the right function Select key to access your File. Once in the File list, press again the right function - Select key to play back the file. File list icon for Movie File list icon for Music File list icon for Photo Play List icon for Music

Movie Playback & Features
Movie Playback
1. Select Movie on the program frame using the 4-way rocker switch.

To playback simply press again the Select key. 3. You can choose whether to play back one single file or all files from your movie folder. Just push the right side of the 4-way switch to access this menu.

Functions during Playback
Fast Forward press right side of the 4-way rocker switch for 2X, 4X or 8X fast forward. To resume play, press the right function Select key. Pause/Resume press right function Select key to Pause or Resume Scale up/down press the up or down side of the 4-way rocker switch to scale up picture frame or reduce Adjusting Audio & Video Quality press the volume dial to turn on Subtitle and adjust Balance, Bass, Treble, LCD Brightness, Picture Brightness, Contrast and Saturation. Just toggle the volume dial up or down for your choice.

Music Playback & Features (MP3 / WMA / OGG)

Functions During Playback

(playback jumps forward 10sec) NEXT & PREVIOUS - During music playback, press the Up side of the 4-way button to go back to the Previous music title. Press the Down side of the 4-way button to go to the Next music title. Pause/Resume press the right function Select key to Pause and Resume Adjusting Audio Quality press the volume dial to select your pre-set function. Just toggle up or down the volume dial to adjust.

Photo Viewer and Features
Photo Short Cut Icon Photo File List Icon
1. Before starting to view your photo album, go to Setup function to pre-set your viewing preference under Play Mode. You can choose from Slide Show to view 1 photo or 4 photos at a time. 2. During slide show of 1 photo you can enlarge, shift and rotate the photo. To enlarge press once the right function key and press the left/right side of the 4-way rocker switch to enlarge or reduce the photo. To rotate press again the right function key to change the command and then press the left/right side of the 4way rocker switch to rotate the photo. To shift press again the right function key to change the command and then followed by pressing the 4-way rocker switch to shift the photo.
To adjust picture quality during photo viewing simply press the volume dial and toggle up or down for adjustment.
Adjusting Picture Quality during Photo Viewing
To view 4 pictures at one glance just toggle the volume dial downwards. Select the picture you want to view in full screen size and press the right function Select key. To return to 1-picture viewing just press again the same right function Select key.

Setup Functions
Sound Navigate with the 4-way rocker switch to pre-set the Sound Quality of your preference and press Save when finished. Clock Set the clock to your local standard by toggling with the volume dial after selecting the details with the 4way rocker switch. Press Save when finished. Power Save power while using the AV-612LCD. You can pre-set auto Shutdown and Dim the LCD back light
when there is an interval between operation.
Play Mode Pre-set your choice of viewing the photo album. You can select from Slideshow of 1 picture, 4
pictures or 9 pictures and time lapse for each preview.
Display Select your choice of video output on the 3.5 inch display screen or through your TV, adjust your LCD
Brightness, Contrast and Saturation.
System This pre-set function allows you to decide whether you wish to utilize the remote control function. It
also shows you the current status of your firmware version and hard disk.
Network This allows you to set-up your MOD's IP which supports DHCP and Static IP. Under Network you
can also view your AV-612LCD's MAC Address. See MOD for more details.

Edit Functions Description
Rename You can rename files or folders stored in the AV-612LCD. As you select this function, a soft keyboard will appear on the screen. Type in the file name by means of the 4-way rocker switch and enter Save when you have finished.
Delete Go to the file that you wish to delete and carry out this command. Move and Copy You can move or copy content stored in your AV-612LCD from one location to another
within the AV-612LCD. This can be any of the folders that you have created. Firstly, go to the content that you wish to move or copy Next, press the right side of the 4-way switch to access edit menu and select. Your screen will be split into two columns. The one on the right is the location where you want to migrate your content and the one on the left shows source of your content. Access the location where you want the content migrated and press Select to execute either move or copy command. Note: To move scroll bar from left to right column or vice versa simply press the volume dial. You can view the content that you have just moved or copied by accessing the Edit menu.
New Folders New folders can be created for the purpose of organizing your files. Again, go to Edit menu to execute this command. Play List This function applies only to Music program. Play list allows you to list and group your favorite sound tracks under your own list name.

Playing Content on Big Screen
(TV or Projector) 1. Place your AV-612LCD onto the cradle/docking base. 2. Plug in the Audio/Video cable provided and go to Setup function and select Display. 3. Under Display select Video Output and press the right side of the 4-way rocker switch to select TV output. Note: Your AV-612LCD's screen will be turned off as you switch to TV output now that screen display is already switch over to TV screen. 4. With the remote control you can now operate from a distance. 5. You can also playback sound tracks on your stereo system. Note: You can choose to output your video via S-Video or Component Video connection.
Transferring Content into the AV-612LCD from PC
1. Transfer of files from PC or any other source into the AV612LCD's hard disk drive is easily done via USB 2.0 cable provided. 2. When connected, your PC will recognize the AV-612LCD as an external storage device. 3. Carry out the file transfer the same way as you would transfer files between USB hard disk and your PC's resident hard disk drive.

AV-612LCD PC Management Program
Before you begin, check to make sure that the USB cable is connected.
1. The AV-612LCD's PC Management Program serves two major functions:
a. Managing AV-612LCD's content via your computer. Here you can copy content from your computer into your AV-612LCD and vice versa. You can also edit the content stored in your AV-612LCD via your computer. b. Stream digital media content from your computer to your TV via the AV-612LCD as a bridge or digital media adaptor.
2. A CD ROM containing this program is included in your AV-612LCD package. Install this program into your PC
and access this program via your Programs grouping.
3. Connect your AV-612LCD to your PC via USB cable. Click on the program and you are in.
Your PC screen will show two sections; the one on the left is content of your AV-612LCD and the one on the right is content of your PC. Click on the program icons of MOVIE, MUSIC, PHOTO to access them and manage these content. You can copy from AV-612LCD to your PC or vice versa with the drag and-drop action. You can also delete content on both sides. In the music segment you can create new play list and edit existing playlist. To add content to your new play list, click on Edit Play List. Now the section on the right will display content in your computer and the left displays content in your AV-612LCD. Simply drag-and-drop your selections and click OK when you are done. Note: When you have finish with this PC Management Program, DO NOT DISCONNECT the USB cable without first consulting your toolbar for "Safely Remove USB Mass Storage Device". Default Do not change this unless there is conflict with other computer service. If a conflict happens you can modify the Port number from 1023 to 65535.

MOD / Media Content Streaming
Before you begin, check to make sure that the Fast Ethernet cable is connected. 1. Go to your computer and click on Program to search for AV-612LCD PC Manager. Click open and you are now in your Management Program. 2. If AV-612LCD is not found it will enter into MOD mode. The reason is that the USB cable is not connected. However, you can run the MOD program. 3. From your computer click on Browse to pick out what you want to stream via the AV-612LCD. Click open the content you have selected and click Apply. The content will be shared to the AV-612LCD and ready for streaming. 4. Go to your AV-612LCD and under MOD you will find that the same content will be displayed on your AV612LCD screen. Simply click on the files and select Play to playback these content that you have just picked to stream to your TV or even hifi system for music. 5. On your AV-612LCD click on the MOD icon and select Connect. 6. On the AV-612LCD the Parent Folder now shows that your AV-612LCD is connected to the computer that is currently running the AV-612LCD's PC Management Program.

Upgrading Your Firmware
Your AV-612LCD's firmware can be upgraded whenever as and when a new version is released. Please follow the following steps to upgrade: 1. Make sure that battery capacity on your AV-612LCD is 10% and above. 2. Plug in the charging adaptor and turn on your AV-612LCD. 3. When main menu frame comes on the screen, connect the USB cable with the other end going to your PC. 4. Over your Windows File Explorer look for the location of your AV-612LCD "Hard Drive Folder" 5. Unzip the firmware file onto the AV-612LCD's drive root directory. 6. Once transfer accomplished, disconnect the USB cable and go to Setup on the main menu. Note: Before disconnecting the USB cable, consult your tool bar at the bottom of your monitor screen for "Safely Remove USB Mass Storage Device." 7. Power on your AV-612LCD and access System on the menu and scroll to Update Firmware and press Save. 8. Upgrade process is in progress and after 1min your AV-612LCD will be shutdown automatically. 9. Unplug the DC adaptor and the blue light by the side of the unit will come on. Plug in again the DC adaptor. 10. When main menu frame come back on it means that the upgrading is complete. Note: If system does not turn on automatically, remove battery pack and DC adaptor. Attached batteriy pack again and turn on again the unit. If the AV-612LCD Player does not function normally, or if it emits unusual sounds or odours, pull out the plug immediately and contact an authorized technician. Do not attempt to service the AV-612LCD player yourself. If you open or dismantle the shielding, you expose yourself to dangerous voltage and other hazards. All maintenance must be carried out by qualified service technicians. Warranty certificate H&B provides a twelve (12) month warranty from the date of purchase against material and manufacturing defects. In the event of defects covered by the warranty, the product must be returned to the dealer that sold the product. If any problems arise, information on our authorized service centres is available the dealer who sold the product. Terms of Warranty 1. The warranty is only valid on presentation of a correctly completed warranty certificate and sales ticket, and if the serial number on the product is fully legible. 2. The obligations of H&B are limited either to repair or replacement of defective components. The repair or replacement of defective components is based on an assessment by H&B.
