Power source wire connection Insert the power plug into AC outlet. Install and replace batteries of the remote control unit: 1.Place the remote control unit with the face down, then open the battery cover of the unit. 2.Place the two"AA"size batteries, matching the + and - signs on each battery to the + and -signs of the battery compartment. 3.Close the cover of the battery compartment. NOTE: (1)Don't drop or wet or dismantle the unit. (2)If you don't intend to use the unit for a long period or the electricity of the batteries is used up, remove the batteries to prevent batteries acid from leaking into the battery compartment. (3)Replace the two old batteries at the same time. (4)Don't use charge battery (Ni-cd )and don't mix battery type. (5)Don't throw your batteries into a fire. Dispose of your batteries in a required place. The red power indicator will light. 2. Press the power switch button on the remote controller to enter normal receiving condition when the TV set is in standby condition. TUNING PROCEDURE There are Auto-search, Semi-Auto search and Fine tuning method. Auto-search 1.Press [MENU] button to let TUNING menu display on the screen, then press [-CH+] buttons to select AUTO MEMORY . 2. Press [VOL+] button to make the AUTO MEMORY mode work, the TV set will begin to search programs from program number 0. After the search is finished, program number 0 will display on the screen. Note: During auto-search, if you want to stop searching, press [VOL-] button. (For example: channel 1). 2.Press [MENU] button to let TUNING menu display on the screen, Then press [-CH+] buttons to select SEARCH item. 3.Press [-VOL+] buttons to start searching. [VOL+] button is to search the program from low FC. [VOL-] button is to search the program from high FC. Repeat above procedure until you find the channel you need. TUNING POSITION BAND SKIP SEARCH MFT AUTO MEMORY 01 VL OFF DOWN UP 49.87 MHZ SELECT ADJUST 8 TUNING PROCEDURE Skip After pre-tuning the channel, you can skip the channel you do not need in order to only select the channel you want to watch. 1.Press [-CH+] buttons or numeric button(0~9) to select the channel number skipped(for example: channel 1). 2.Press [MENU] button to let TUNING menu display on the screen, then press [-CH+] buttons to select SKIP item. 3.Press [-VOL+] buttons to set SKIP ON mode. 4.Press [DISPLAY] button to shut off the menu. The channel number will be skipped when you use[-CH+] buttons to select channels. But you can still use numeric button to select the channel number skipped. Note: 1.You can use the numeric button to select the channel number that need recover. 2.Press [MENU] button to let the TUNING menu appear on the screen, then press [-CH+] buttons to select SKIP. 3.Press [-VOL+] buttons to set SKIP OFF mode. [VOL -] button is to search program from high FC. [VOL+] button is to search program from low FC. TUNING POSITION BAND SKIP SEARCH MFT AUTO MEMORY 01 VL OFF DOWN UP 49.87 MHZ SELECT ADJUST 10 PICTURE AND AUDIO ADJUSTMENT FUNCTION Picture mode selection You can select the picture mode you need quickly in five preset modes and a user's personal set. Press [ P.STD] button to select the picture quality you need. There are six picture modes you can select in turn. DYNAMIC, STANDARD, MILD, MEMORY , PICTURE MUTE and COLOR MUTE. Press [S.STD] button to select the sound quality you need. There are THEATER, NEWS, MUSIC, PERSONAL to select in turn. Volume set function You can adjust the volume to your preset value quickly(for example: BASS, TREBLE, BALANCE) 1.Press [MENU] button to let SOUND menu display on the screen. 2.Press [-CH+] buttons to select BASS item, then press [-VOL+] buttons to adjust to your expect effect. You can adjust the parameters of TREBLE,BALANCE by using the same way. S.C.C AUTO OFF COUNT ENGLISH III OFF OFF 0:38 SELECT ADJUST COUNT This TV set provides COUNT function, if you want to know count, you can press MENU button to enter FUNCTION menu to see the time your use. (Restart time from 0 after 100000 hours). The time is the total time your watch(no time in standby status), the value is not be adjusted through remote controller or the buttons of this TV set. MUTE function When you need pay attention to the surround sound or answer the telephone or the guest to visit, using mute function will be convenient. 1.Press [ ] button on the remote controller, the( ) will appear at the bottom of the screen, at this time the sound will be shut off. 2.If you want to recover the sound, you can press the [ ] button again or press the [-VOL+] buttons directly. 13 TIME FUNCTION Off timer function When you use OFF TIMER function, you can make the TV set switch to the standby status in that the appointing timer is TIMER coming. 1.Press [MENU] button to let the TIMER menu OFF TIMER ONCE 19:00 display on the screen. SLEEP: 110MIN 2.Press[ ] button, the bottom of the screen will display the right figure cycle. SLEEP: 20MIN SLEEP: 10MIN On timer function Using ON TIMER function in the standby status, the TV set can connect power supply and broadcast the appointing channel number automatically when the appointing time is coming. 1.Press [MENU] button to let the TIMER menu appear on the screen. 2.Press[-CH+] buttons to select ON TIMER item, TIMER then press [-VOL+] buttons repeatedly to set OFF TIMER ONCE 19:00 the ON TIMER to OFF or ONCE or EVERY . ON TIMER OFF 22:00 3.Press[-CH+] buttons to select next item. At this POS 00 CLOCK 01:40 time, press [-VOL+] buttons to set ON TIMER APPOINTMENT (the method is the same as OFF TIMER). Press [-CH+] buttons to select CLOCK item, then press [-VOL+] buttons to set the current time( themethod is the same as OFF TIMER, APPOINTMENT takes this clock as standard). 3.Press [-CH+] button to select the APPOINTMENT item. Then press [ VOL+/-] buttons to enter APPOINTMENT sub-menu. 4.Press [-VOL+] buttons to set the POS. you need( for example:100). 5.Press [CH-] button to enter TIME item. Then press [-VOL+] buttons to set the time. Pressing [-VOL+] buttons, the time will change with 1 minute unit. Pressing and holding [-VOL+] buttons, the time will change with 10 minutes unit. 6.Press [CH-] button and repeatedly the fourth and fifth to set the next POS. 7.Press [DISPLAY] button to exit the [TIMER] menu. When the time is coming, the TV set will switch to the channel number you appointed automatically. The APPOINTMENT is only valid in ON TIMER status, it is invalid in AC or DC standby status. Item, then press [-VOL+] buttons to select language, the character will display with the change of language.( There is only English in this set) Screen projection function When the background function is activated and the TV set receive no signal, the screen will change into the right figure. SELECT ADJUST 17 SETTING FUNCTION Stage curtain for open and close effect There are three different method of stage curtain for open and close effect, you can select according to your need. 1.Press [MENU] button to let FUNCTION menu display on the screen. 2. Press [-CH+] buttons to select CURTAIN item, then press [-VOL+] buttons to select one of I, II or III. I: stage curtain for open and close effect II: fade in/fade out III: mix stage curtain for open and close effect FUNCTION LANG. CURTAIN POS. EX. S.C.C AUTO OFF COUNT ENGLISH III OFF OFF 0:38 SELECT ADJUST Calendar function The calendar of this TV set stores the years from 1901year to 2050 year. 1.Press [CALENDAR] button on the remote controller the calendar will be displayed on the screen(pressing it again, you can cancel the on-screen display). 2.Press [-CH+] buttons to adjust year, press [-VOL+] buttons to adjust month. ADJUST SELECT The digit of EX.POS1 and EX.POS2 item are the current position number. POS. EX EX.POS1 EX.POS2 EXCHANGE RETURN 01 01 3.Press [-CH+] buttons to select EX.POS2 item, then press [VOL+/-] buttons to input position number 9. At this time, the program of original position number 1 is exchanged to position number 9, the program of original position number 9 is exchanged to position number 1. 19 SETTING FUNCTION There is lock function in this TV set, you can select it to protect your TV set according to your need. Changing password The password of the TV set is preset "0000" in manufacture, if you want to change the password, you can fill in four digits. 1.Press [LOCK] button, OSD is as the right figure. LOCK SET UP PASSWORD: ---- 2.Press "0" button directly for four times, and enter LOCK SET UP menu. Press [CH+/- ] buttons to select "CHANGE PW ". item, then press [VOL+] button to enter "CHANGE PW." sub-menu. 3.Press numeric buttons and input four digits. LOCK SET UP CHANGE PW. The screen returns to the original status after inputting new password(see the right figure), at this time you can input new password to enter password set menu. LOCK SET UP PASSWORD: ---- 20 SETTING FUNCTION Lock set up The TV set can lock tuning, preset program, AV, game and child lock items, if you need to lock them, you can set as following procedure. 1.Press [LOCK] button, and OSD is as the right figure. LOCK SET UP PASSWORD: ---- 2.Press "0" button directly for four times (or press the four-digit password you have changed) to enter LOCK SETUP menu. 3.Press [CH+/-] buttons to select "TUNING LOCK" item, and press [-VOL+] buttons to select "ON" or "OFF". AV LOCK GAME LOCK CHILD LOCK MAX.VOLUME UNLOCK OFF OFF OFF OFF OFF OFF CHANGE PW: NEW PW: ---- Note: 1.When the tuning lock is on, you should enter password to enter the tuning menu, meanwhile you cannot exchange the program and press 1 button to enter auto search. 2. You can set the default program of on timer by using the function of preset program. 3.When the AV lock is on, the AV terminal is invalid, at this time, the screen become black screen and remind that it is locked, the TV set in mute status. 4.When the child lock is on, the screen will remind that it is in CHILD LOCK status if you press the buttons of the TV set, and the buttons of this TV set are invalid. 5.When the game lock is on, the [GAME] button on the remote controller is invalid. 6. The max volume lock can restrict the max volume of the TV set, if you set the volume lock 50, the max volume of the TV set is 50, when you press [VOL+] button to adjust the volume value that is over 50, the volume will not change with it any more. 21 GAME When you select SUBMARINE game item, enter game mode and the other buttons (except [GAME],[VOL-/+],[CH+/-], [MODE],[EXIT],[MENU], ) are invalid, unless you exit the game.
