Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

Wate rpro of DiST WP Conductivity/TDS Meters OPERATION: · Remove the protective cap. · Turn the DiST WP on with the ON/OFF switch located on the top. · Immerse into the sample without touching the bottom of the beaker. Calibration is now complete. BATTERY REPLACEMENT: When the DiST WP cannot be switched on or the display segments fade, use a coin to remove the battery compartment cover located on the top of the tester: it will open with just a 1/4 turn. Remove the cover with its O-ring and replace all four batteries paying attention to their polarity. Reinsert the cover with the O-ring and close it with the coin. It is recommended to recalibrate the instrument whenever you replace batteries. Batteries should only be replaced in a safe area using the battery type specified in this instruction manual. · Stir gently and wait until the display stabilizes. DiST WP compensates for the temperature automatically and variations on the display can be due to the temperature sensor adjusting to the new environment. CALIBRATION: The calibration procedure is simple and fast. · Immerse the tester into the appropriate optional Calibration Solution (see Specifications). · Allow the reading to stabilize and using a small screwdriver turn the Calibration Trimmer to match the solution value (normally to the value at 25°C). e.g. calibrating a DiST WP 1 using HI 7032 as calibration solution, turn the trimmer to read "1382". RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USERS: Before using these products, make sure that they are entirely suitable for the environment in which they are used. Operation of these instruments in residential areas could cause interference to radio and TV equipment. The pins at the end of the sensor are sensitive to electrostatic discharges. Avoid touching these pins at all times. During operation of instruments, ESD wrist straps should be worn to avoid possible damage to the sensor by electrostatic discharges. Any variation introduced by the user to the supplied equipment may degrade the instrument's EMC performance. To avoid electrical shock, do not use this instrument when voltages at the measurement surface exceed 24 VAC or 60VDC. To avoid damage or burns, do not perform any measurement in microwave ovens.
