OF F HI ME D LO 12 WORKING PRINCIPLE With this epilator you achieve a long-lasting depilatory effect when using it in the home. By means of the high frequency when correctly applied, besides the hair, the hair root is removed so that the hair does not grow again. If correctly used the depilation is a process free of pain and chemicals. No harmful electric current is emitted by the coil tweezers. The way of functioning of the appliance is based on a high frequency, which is safe for human beings, in order to destroy the hair root and the tactile papilla. This is achieved through the change of the pH value in the hair follicles. It is this pH value which, beyond the application of the appliance, inhibits the growth of hair. Total removal of the hair without any subsequent re-growth can only be achieved after repeated removal.Any hair then possibly growing is already lighter-coloured and thinner. Short hairs are most successfully removed after heat treatment of the appropriate region (bath/hot compress). Long hairs should be shortened before removal. Several hairs at the same time can be gripped by means of the coil tweezers and removed. The depilatory head and the coil tweezers can be easily replaced. In the case of long hair, it is advisable to first use a lady shaver in order to shorten the hairs to a favourable length for removal by the Beauty Forever. 13 HANDLING Fit the connecting cable on the case and plug the power pack into the socket. Now the luminous diode lights up showing "OFF". The appliance is ready for use. You can choose between: · LO for low current flow (sensitive skin areas and smallest hairs) · Med for the medium stage (with normally compatible skin and normal hair growth) · HI for higher current flow (insensitive skin areas and strong hair forms) In any case, it is recommended that the various stages, starting with the lowest, be tested, in order to find the preferred and most pleasant intensity with the best result depending on one's own skin and hair type. Depilation process: 1. Clean and warm up the appropriate part of the body (bath, compress, infrared light) 2. Selection of the depilation appliance (tweezer head or coil tweezers) 3. With the depilation appliance grip the hair(s) by means of the keys 4. Keep the keys of the depilatory tweezers depressed for about 30 seconds (the luminous diode on the tweezers then shines more brightly) 5. Carefully pull out the hair in the direction of the growth direction. Should the hair not be loosened without pain the first time, please repeat the application once more. Probably this hair has a particularly strong root or even several root canals. If necessary, please increase the current intensity and carry out a new test. 14 CHANGING THE TWEEZER HEAD The depilatory tweezers are best for the removal of individual hairs. The coil tweezers are suitable for the simultaneous removal of several hairs. 1. Pull off tweezer head carefully towards the front and press unlocking key. 2. Withdraw the coil or depilatory tweezers 3. Push on the appropriate tweezers and tweezer head again 15 TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION · Mains operation: 230 V / 50 cycles · Appliance size: 55 mm x 170 x 175 IMPORTANT NOTES Warning: the device must not be used during pregnancy! Persons with cardiac pacemakers, cardiac diseases, epilepsy, diabetes miletus, multiple sclerosis, skin diseases, after operations and women wearing spirals should not use the appliance. The following skin regions are to be avoided: · Scars, naevi, open histological lesions, inflamed or sunburnt skin ·Skin areas covered by make-up The appliance should be used only in enclosed dry rooms! Should you feel ill at ease during the application or if skin irritation occurs after use of the appliance please consult a doctor. The use of the appliance does not constitute a risk, you can remove hairs from all areas of skin with it. Please nevertheless store it out of reach of children. In the event of visible damage do not put the appliance into operation. Send it to the service centre shown in the list. 16 CARE OF THE APPLIANCE You can wipe the appliance down with a damp cloth and then wipe it dry only in the switched-off state, disconnected from the mains. With the enclosed brush you can clean the depilation coil on the tweezers. Do not use any aggressive cleansers and never immerse the appliance in water. POSSIBLE FAULTS Please ensure correct connection and a firm fit of the connecting cables. No removal of hair: try again, you have possibly not gripped the hair correctly in the tweezers. Possibly the hair is too long and due to its thickness requires a longer response time for the current or the current intensity is too low. If you cannot eliminate the problem that has occurred after changing the points listed above, please contact: ibp Service Center please look at Guarantee For your own safety do not carry out any repairs of your own on the appliance! 17 GUARANTEE Your epilator was checked to ensure its faultless quality before despatch. Please send the appliance for checking or repair together with the purchase document or receipt and the description of the faults and/or of the desired check to the address below. From the date of purchase (date on the purchase document) repairs will be carried out free of charge for 24 months, if your appliance should be defective due to a production or material fault. The guarantee does not cover any damage occurring as a result of faulty operation, improper treatment, storage and care or unusual influences. All further claims as well as damages shall likewise be excluded.
