So wirkt Ihr SKEEN Patch SKEEN Patch ist ein elektronisches Pflaster, das die Stützstrukturen und die Mikrozirkulation des Blutes in der Gesichtshaut verbessert. Als Folge verringern sich Alterungssymtome, wie Falten, eine schlaffe Muskulatur und eine blasse Hautfarbe. Das Ergebnis einer konsequenten Anwendung ist ein vitales und gesundes Aussehen. SKEEN Patch verknüpft die Wirkung von Elektromuskelstimulation (EMS) und der transkutanen ­ über die Haut weitergeleiteten ­ elektrischen Nervenstimulation (TENS): Ein mikroprozessorgesteuertes Stimulationsprogramm leitet über Elektroden, die auf die Haut aufgeklebt werden, Stromreize mit unterschiedlicher Intensität zu den betroffenen Regionen. Es erreicht sowohl die Hautoberfläche (Epidermis) als auch die tiefer liegenden Schichten und die Muskulatur. Die Reize des Stimulationsprogramms sind nicht schmerzhaft, Sie spüren lediglich ein leichtes Kribbeln und leichte Muskelkontraktionen. Die Wirkung Ihres SKEEN Patch entspricht einem gymnastischen Training der verschiedenen Gesichtspartien: In einer ersten Stimulationsphase wird ein Straffungsprogramm ausgeführt. Darauf folgt eine Phase zum Aufbau der Muskelspannung. Diese Gebrauchsanweisung ist Bestandteil Ihres Geräts. Bewahren Sie diese Gebrauchsanweisung sorgfältig auf, bis Sie Ihr SKEEN Patch entweder zusammen mit dieser Gebrauchsanweisung an einen neuen Besitzer weitergeben oder bis Sie Ihr SKEEN Patch entsorgen. 3.1 Für welche Einsatzbereiche ist Ihr SKEEN Patch geeignet und für welche nicht? Verwenden Sie das SKEEN Patch ausschließlich im privaten Bereich. Das SKEEN Patch ist nicht für den gewerblichen oder medizinischen Gebrauch bestimmt. Das SKEEN Patch ist ausschließlich für die äußere Anwendung auf den in dieser Gebrauchsanweisung beschriebenen Stimulationspunkten am Menschen bestimmt. Verwenden Sie das SKEEN Patch nicht, wenn Sie unter Herzproblemen, insbesondere unter Herzrythmusstörungen leiden. Der Reizstrom kann zu Herzkammerflimmern und schlimmstenfalls zum Herzstillstand führen. wenn Sie einen Herzschrittmacher oder andere elektronische Implantate haben. Der Reizstrom kann die Funktion Ihres Implantats stören. wenn Sie an Anfallsleiden leiden. Der Reizstrom kann schlimmstenfalls Krampfanfälle auslösen. in der Schwangerschaft. Elektroden und Pflaster können zu Hautreizungen führen. wenn Sie an systemischen, d.h. den gesamten Körper betreffenden Krankheiten, leiden. wenn das SKEEN Patch beschädigt ist. Der Reizstrom kann zu Schmerzen und Hautreizungen führen. 3.4 Was Sie sonst noch beachten müssen Lassen Sie Ihr SKEEN Patch nicht in Kinderhände gelangen. Kinder könnten Kleinteile verschlucken und daran ersticken. 4. So schützen Sie Ihr SKEEN Patch Die Elektronik Ihres SKEEN Patch verträgt weder Nässe noch Feuchtigkeit. Halten Sie das SKEEN Patch nicht unter fließendes Wasser, tauchen Sie ihn nicht in Wasser oder andere Flüssigkeiten ein, und tragen Sie ihn nicht beim Schwimmen oder in der Sauna. Ihr SKEEN Patch ist hitzeempfindlich. Setzen Sie das SKEEN Patch keinem direktem Sonnenlicht aus, und legen Sie das SKEEN Patch nicht auf heißen Oberflächen ab. 6 7 5. So bereiten Sie Ihr SKEEN Patch für die Verwendung vor 5.1 SKEEN Patch auspacken und prüfen 1. Packen Sie Ihr SKEEN Patch aus. So führen Sie die Sitzung durch 6.1 So verwenden Sie Ihr SKEEN Patch Halten Sie bei Ihren Anwendungen einen Mindestabstand von 1 m zu MikrowellenGeräten und Kurzwellengeräten ein. Elektromagnetische Wechselwirkungen können die Funktion des SKEEN Patch beeinträchtigen. 1. Ziehen Sie die Schutzfolie vom Elektrodenpflaster ab. 2. Kleben Sie das SKEEN Patch auf eine der Stimulationspunkte. Kleben Sie das SKEEN Patch nur auf saubere, trockene, gesunde Haut, die nicht mit Kosmetika und Cremes behandelt ist. Das SKEEN Patch muss fest auf der Haut haften. Wechseln Sie das Elektrodenpflaster, wenn die Haftfähigkeit nachgelassen hat. 3. Schalten Sie das SKEEN Patch ein: Drücken Sie einmal auf den ON+ Knopf. Die Leuchtanzeige blinkt rot. der Anwendung" angegeben: Die Stimulation sollte kein unangenehmes Gefühl oder Scherzen erzeugen! Die Stimulationsstärke wird mit dem ON+ Knopf erhöht und mit dem OFF­ Knopf gesenkt. Sie können die Stimulationsstärke in 10 Stufen einstellen. Drücken Sie wiederholt den ON+ Knopf, bis Sie die vorgegebene Stimulationsstärke erreicht haben. Die Helligkeit der Leuchtanzeige verstärkt sich mit Höhe der Stimulationsstärke. Drücken Sie wiederholt den OFF­ Knopf, wenn Sie die Stimulationsstärke senken möchten. Die Helligkeit der Leuchtanzeige verringert sich mit abnehmender Stimulationsstärke. Ihr SKEEN Patch schaltet nach 15 Minuten automatisch aus. Schalten Sie das SKEEN Patch wieder ein, wenn Sie die Anwendung fortsetzen möchten. Senken Sie die Stimulationsstärke oder schalten Sie das SKEEN Patch aus, wenn Ihnen die Wirkung unangenehm werden sollte. 5. Schalten Sie das SKEEN Patch nach der im Abschnitt 6.2 ,,Stimulationspunkte, Dauer und Häufigkeit der Anwendung" angegeben empfohlenen Anwendungsdauer aus: Drücken Sie so oft auf den OFF­ Knopf, bis die Leuchtanzeige erlischt. Entfernen Sie die Elektrodenpflaster nur im ausgeschalteten Zustand von der Haut. 13 ON+ Knopf Leuchtanzeige OFF­ Knopf 4. Stellen Sie die Stimulationsstärke so hoch ein, wie im Abschnitt 6.2 ,,Stimulationspunkte, Dauer und Häufigkeit 12 6. Entfernen Sie das SKEEN Patch von der Haut: Schieben Sie einen Finger unter das Pflaster und heben Sie das Pflaster ab. 7. Benetzen Sie die Rückseite des Elektrodenpflasters links und rechts mit je einem Tropfen Wasser, damit das Pflaster nicht austrocknet. 8. Beenden Sie die Anwendung: Bringen Sie die Schutzfolie am Elektrodenpflaster an. Stecken Sie das SKEEN Patch in die Schutzhülle. Deponieren Sie das SKEEN Patch kindersicher und vor Sonneneinstrahlung und Feuchtigkeit geschützt bis zur nächsten Anwendung. Überschreiten Sie die angegebene Anwendungssdauer und Anwendungshäufigkeit nicht. Die Wirkung wird dadurch nicht gesteigert. Wenn Sie SKEEN Patch angelegt und eingeschaltet haben, verspüren Sie Muskelkontraktionen im Gesicht. Diese Wirkung ist normal und erwünscht. Lage : Straffung der Wange Legen Sie das SKEEN Patch direkt hinter dem Wangenbeinvorsprung an, so dass es fast bis an die Mundwinkel reicht: Siehe Abbildung rechts! Wählen Sie eine hohe Stimulationstärke der Stufe 5 oder 6. Stimulieren Sie einmal am Tag jede Seite des Gesichts für die Dauer von 30 Minuten. Lage : Straffung der Kieferhaut, Stärkung der Kiefermuskulatur Legen Sie das SKEEN Patch so an, dass das Pflaster zwischen Kieferwinkel und oberer Wange ausgerichtet ist: Siehe Abbildung rechts! Wählen Sie eine hohe Stimulationstärke der Stufe 5 oder 6. Stimulieren Sie einmal am Tag jede Seite des Gesichts für die Dauer von 15-30 Minuten. 6.2 Stimulationspunkte, Dauer und Häufigkeit der Anwendung Bringen Sie das SKEEN Patch ausschließlich an jenen Stimulationspunkten auf die Haut auf, die in diesem Abschnitt beschrieben sind. Verwenden Sie das Gerät nicht auf den Augenlidern. Der Reizstrom kann das Auge schädigen. nicht im Kehlkopf oder Rachenbereich. Der Reizstrom kann zu Muskelverkrampfungen und damit zum Ersticken führen. nicht so, dass Strom direkt über das Herz fließt (z.B. in unmittelbarer Nähe des Herzens). Der Reizstrom kann zu Herzkammerflimmern und schlimmstenfalls zum Herzstillstand führen. 14 15 Lage : Stärkung der Muskulatur des oberen Augenlids Legen Sie das SKEEN Patch zwischen Schläfe und Nasenflügel an: Siehe Abbildung rechts! Wählen Sie ein mäßige Stimulationsstärke der Stufe 4 oder 5. Stimulieren Sie einmal am Tag jede Seite des Gesichts für die Dauer von 15 Minuten. Wenn Sie Ihr SKEEN Patch mit der Lage bis auf beiden Seiten des Gesichts anwenden, dann entspricht die maximale gesamte Anwendungsdauer 2 Stunden und 30 Minuten, pro Tag. 7. So reinigen und pflegen Sie Ihr SKEEN Patch 7.1 Reinigen 1. Schalten Sie das SKEEN Patch aus. 2. Reinigen Sie das Gehäuse mit einem mit Wasser angefeuchtetem Tuch. Reinigen Sie das Gehäuse nicht mit scharfen oder scheuernden Reinigungsmitteln. Sterilisieren Sie weder das Pflaster noch das Gerät selbst im Dampfsterilisierer oder im Kaltsterilisierbad. 7.2 Pflaster wechseln Wechseln Sie das Elektrodenpflaster wenn es verschmutzt oder verbraucht ist. 1. Schalten Sie das SKEEN Patch aus. 2. Stecken Sie das Elektrodenpflaster vom SKEEN Patch ab. 3. Stecken Sie das neue Elektrodenpflaster auf das SKEEN Patch auf. 16 17 7.3 Batterie wechseln 18 Vergiftungs- und Erstickungsgefahr! Wechseln Sie die Batterie, wie im Abschnitt Batterie einlegen beschrieben. Legen Sie in das SKEEN Patch nur eine Batterie ein, die mit der Spezifikation im Abschnitt Technische Daten übereinstimmt. Kinder können Batterien verschlucken. Halten Sie Batterien von Kindern fern. Versuchen Sie nicht, die Batterien aufzuladen! Werfen Sie Batterien nicht ins Feuer. Problem Das SKEEN Patch ist eingeschaltet, aber ohne Funktion. Mögliche Ursache Die Batterie ist leer. Das SKEEN Patch ist defekt. Abhilfe Wechseln Sie die Batterie. How your SKEEN Patch works SKEEN Patch is an electronic patch, which improves the supporting structure and the micro-circulation of blood in the facial skin. As a consequence, aging symptoms such as wrinkles, flabby muscles and a pale skin color are reduced. The result of consistent application is a vital and healthy complexion. SKEEN Patch combines the effects of electronic muscle stimulation (EMS) and transcutaneous ­ conducted via the skin ­ electrical nerve stimulation (TENS): A microprocessor-controlled stimulation program conducts current-induced stimuli of different intensity levels via electrodes that are affixed onto the skin to the affected regions. They reach not only the surface of the skin (epidermis), but also the lower-lying layers and the muscles. The stimuli from the stimulation program are not painful. You will only feel a slight tingling sensation and slight muscle contractions. The stimulation current can lead to aches and skin irritations. 3.4 Other factors you need to consider Do not allow children access to your SKEEN Patch. Children could swallow small pieces and as a consequence suffocate. 4. How to protect your SKEEN Patch The electronics of your SKEEN Patch tolerate neither wetness nor moisture. Do not rinse the SKEEN Patch under running water, do not immerse it in water or other fluids, and do not wear it while swimming or while in the sauna. Your SKEEN Patch is sensitive to heat. Do not expose the SKEEN Patch to direct sunlight, and do not place it on hot surfaces. 28 29 5. How to prepare your SKEEN Patch for use 5.1 Unpacking and checking the SKEEN Patch 1. How to conduct a session 6.1 How to use your SKEEN Patch During your applications, maintain a minimum distance of 1 m to microwave devices and short-wave devices. Electromagnetic interaction may impair the function of the SKEEN Patch. 1. Remove the protective foil from the electrode patch. 2. Apply the SKEEN Patch to one of the stimulation points. Apply the SKEEN Patch only to clean, dry, healthy skin that has not been treated with cosmetics and creams. The SKEEN Patch must adhere firmly to the skin. Replace the patch when its adhesiveness has subsided. 3. Turn on the SKEEN Patch: Push the ON+ button once. The illuminated display blinks red. Application": The stimulation should not create an unpleasant feeling or pain! The intensity of the stimulation is increased with the ON+ button and decreased with the OFF­ button. You may set the intensity of the stimulation to 10 different levels. Repeatedly press the ON+ button until the specified stimulation intensity has been reached. The brightness of the illuminated display increases with the amount of stimulation intensity. Repeatedly press the OFF­ button if you would like to lower the stimulation intensity. The brightness of the illuminated display decreases with the decreasing stimulation intensity. Your SKEEN Patch automatically turns off after 15 minutes. Turn the SKEEN Patch back on if you wish to continue the application. Lower the stimulation intensity or turn off the SKEEN Patch if the effect should become unpleasant. 5. Turn off the SKEEN Patch after the application duration recommended in Section 6.2 ,,Stimulation Points, Duration and Frequency of Application" has passed: Press the OFF­ button repeatedly until the illuminated displays turns off. Remove the electrode patch from the skin only in off-mode. 6. Remove the SKEEN Patch from the skin: Slide a finger underneath the patch and lift up the patch. 35 ON+ button Illuminated display OFF­ button 4. Adjust the stimulation intensity to a high level as described in Section 6.2 ,,Stimulation Points, Duration and Frequency of 34 7. Moisten the back of the electrode patch with a drop of water each on the left and right sides to protect the electrode patch from drying out. 8. Terminate the application: Apply the protective foil to the electrode patch. Place the SKEEN Patch inside the protective cover. Store the SKEEN Patch out of the reach of children and protected from sunlight and moisture until the next application. Do not exceed the listed application duration and frequency. It will not increase its effectiveness. When the SKEEN Patch has been applied and is turned on, you will feel muscle contractions in the face. This effect is normal and desired. Position : Tightening the cheek 6.2 Stimulation points, duration and frequency of application Apply the SKEEN Patch only on such stimulation points of the skin that are described in this section. Do not use the device on the eyelids. The stimulation current can damage the eye. in the laryngeal or pharyngeal areas. The stimulation current can lead to muscle cramping and possibly to suffocation. such that the current flows directly across the heart (e.g. in direct vicinity of the heart). The stimulation current can lead to ventricular fibrillation and in the worst case to cardiac arrest. Apply the SKEEN Patch directly behind the projection of the cheek bone so that it almost reaches the corner of the mouth: See picture to the right! Select a high intensity of stimulation of level 5 or 6. Stimulate each side of the face once a day for 30 minutes. Position : Tightening the jaw skin, strengthening the jaw muscles Apply the SKEEN Patch such that the patch is aligned between the corner of the jaw and the upper cheek: See picture to the right! Select a high intensity of stimulation of level 5 or 6. Stimulate each side of the face once a day for 15-30 minutes. 36 37 Position : Strengthening the muscles of the upper eyelid Apply the SKEEN Patch between the temple and the nostril: See picture to the right! Select a moderate intensity of stimulation of level 4 or 5. Stimulate each side of the face once a day for 15 minutes. Once you have applied your SKEEN Patch to the positions to on both sides of the face, it equates to the maximum overall application duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes per day. 7. How to clean and care for your SKEEN Patch 7.1 Cleaning 1. Turn off the SKEEN Patch. 2. Clean the housing with a damp cloth. Do not clean the housing with caustic or abrasive cleansers. Do not sterilize the electrode patch or the device itself in a steam sterilizer or in a cold sterilizing bath. 7.2 Changing the patch Replace the electrode patch when it is dirty or worn. 1. Turn off the SKEEN Patch. 2. Remove the electrode patch from the SKEEN Patch. 3. Place the new electrode patch on the SKEEN Patch. 38 39 7.3 Changing the battery 40 Danger of poisoning and suffocation! Do not throw batteries into fire. Change the battery as described in the "Inserting the battery" section. Only insert into the SKEEN Patch batteries in compliance with the specifications listed in the "Technical Data" section Children could swallow batteries. Keep batteries out of reach of children. Do not attempt to recharge the batteries! Problem The SKEEN Patch is switched on, but does not function. Possible Cause The battery is not inserted. The battery is empty. Solution Insert the battery. Fonctionnement de votre SKEEN Patch SKEEN Patch est un pansement électronique qui améliore les structures de soutien et la microcirculation sanguine cutanée du visage. En conséquence, les symptômes de vieillesse, tels que les rides, une musculature flasque et une couleur de peau terne sont réduits. Une application régulière génère une apparence vitale et saine. SKEEN Patch combine les effets de la stimulation électrique neuromusculaire (EMS) et de la neurostimulation transcutanée électrique (TENS) ­ transmise par la peau : un programme de stimulation commandé par microprocesseur transmet aux régions correspondantes des impulsions électriques avec des intensités différentes par des électrodes apposées sur la peau. Tant l'épiderme que les couches plus profondes et la musculature sont traités. Ces impulsions du programme de stimulation ne sont pas douloureuses, vous ressentez uniquement un léger picotement et de légères contractions musculaires. Pour procéder à une application 6.1 Utilisation de votre SKEEN Patch Lors de l'utilisation, veuillez respecter une distance minimale de 1 m avec tous les appareils à micro-ondes et les appareils à courtes ondes. Les interférences électromagnétiques peuvent endommager le fonctionnement du SKEEN Patch. 1. Retirez le film de protection du pansement à électrodes. 2. Collez le SKEEN Patch sur l'un des points de stimulation. Collez le SKEEN Patch uniquement sur une peau propre, sèche et saine, exempte de tout produit cosmétique et crème. Le SKEEN Patch doit fermement adhérer à la peau. Changez le pansement si son adhésivité se relâche. 3. Mettez le SKEEN Patch sous tension : Appuyez une fois sur le bouton ON+. Le témoin lumineux émet une lumière rouge. de stimulation, durée et fréquence d'utilisation» : la stimulation ne doit générer aucune sensation désagréable ou douleur ! L'intensité des stimulations est augmentée avec le Bouton ON+ et diminuée avec le Bouton OFF­. Vous pouvez régler l'intensité de la simulation sur 10 niveaux. Appuyez à nouveau sur le Bouton ON+, jusqu'à ce que vous atteigniez l'intensité de la stimulation indiquée. L'éclairage du témoin lumineux augmente avec l'intensité de la stimulation. Appuyez à nouveau sur le Bouton OFF­ si vous souhaitez réduire l'intensité de la stimulation. L'éclairage du témoin lumineux diminue avec l'intensité de la stimulation. Votre SKEEN Patch se met automatiquement hors tension après 15 minutes. Vous pouvez le remettre sous tension si vous souhaitez poursuivre l'application. Diminuez l'intensité de la stimulation ou mettez le SKEEN Patch hors tension si l'effet produit devient désagréable. 5. Mettez le SKEEN Patch hors tension après la durée d'utilisation recommandée dans le paragraphe 6.2 «Points de stimulation, durée et fréquence d'utilisation» : Appuyez sur le bouton OFF­ autant de fois que nécessaire jusqu'à ce que le témoin lumineux s'éteigne Retirez le pansement à électrodes de la peau uniquement lorsque l'appareil est hors tension 57 Bouton ON+ Témoin lumineux Bouton OFF­ 4. Réglez l'intensité de la stimulation comme décrit dans le paragraphe 6.2 «Points 56 6. Pour retirer le SKEEN Patch de la peau : Glissez un doigt sous le pansement et levez-le. 7. Humectez l'envers du pansement à électrodes à gauche et à droite avec une goutte d'eau afin que le pansement ne sèche pas. 8. Terminez l'application : Replacez le film de protection sur le pansement à électrodes. Replacez le SKEEN Patch dans son étui de protection. Conservez le SKEEN Patch hors de portée des enfants et à l'abri du soleil et de l'humidité jusqu'à la prochaine utilisation. Ne dépassez pas la durée et la fréquence d'utilisation indiquées. Un dépassement n'augmentera pas les effets. Lorsque vous posez et mettez le SKEEN Patch sous tension, vous ressentez des contractions musculaires sur le visage. Cet effet est normal et souhaité. Position : raffermissement de la joue Apposez le SKEEN Patch directement derrière l'os malaire de sorte qu'il s'étende presque jusqu'au coin de la bouche : voir schéma à droite ! Sélectionnez une intensité élevée de stimulation du niveau 5 ou 6. Stimulez une fois par jour chaque côté du visage pendant une durée de 30 minutes. Position : raffermissement de la peau de la mâchoire, renforcement de la musculature de la mâchoire Apposez le SKEEN Patch de sorte que le pansement soit orienté entre l'angle de la mâchoire et la partie supérieure de la joue : voir schéma à droite ! Sélectionnez une intensité élevée de stimulation du niveau 5 ou 6. Stimulez une fois par jour chaque côté du visage pendant une durée de 15-30 minutes. 6.2 Points de stimulation, durée et fréquence d'utilisation Apposez le SKEEN Patch uniquement sur les points de stimulation sur la peau décrits dans ce paragraphe. Ne pas utiliser l'appareil sur les paupières. La stimulation électrique peut endommager les yeux. sur le larynx ou le pharynx. La stimulation électrique peut provoquer des crampes musculaires et mener à l'étouffement. de sorte à ce que le courant passe directement par le coeur (par ex. à proximité directe du coeur). Si vous utilisez votre SKEEN Patch avec les positions à pour les deux côtés du visage, ceci correspond à une durée totale maximale de 2 heures et 30 minutes par jour. 7. Nettoyer et entretenir votre SKEEN Patch 7.1 Nettoyage 1. Mettez le SKEEN Patch hors tension. 2. Nettoyez le boîtier avec un chiffon humidifié avec de l'eau. Ne pas nettoyer le boîtier avec des nettoyants agressifs ou des objets pointus. Ne pas stériliser ni le pansement ni l'appareil dans un stérilisateur à vapeur ou dans un bain de stérilisation à froid. 7.2 Changement du pansement Changez le pansement à électrodes lorsque celui-ci est sale ou usé. 1. Mettez le SKEEN Patch hors tension. 2. Retirez le pansement à électrodes du SKEEN Patch. 3. Placez le nouveau pansement à électrodes sur le SKEEN Patch. 60 61 7.3 Changement de la pile 62 Danger d'empoisonnement et d'asphyxie ! N'essayez pas de recharger les piles ! Ne pas jeter les piles dans le feu. Insérez dans le SKEEN Patch uniquement une pile dont les spécifications correspondent à celles indiquées dans le paragraphe « Données techniques ». Les enfants risquent d'avaler les piles. Conservez-les hors de portée des enfants. Zo werkt uw SKEEN Patch SKEEN Patch is een elektronische pleister die de steunstructuur en de microcirculatie van het bloed in de gezichtshuid verbetert. Als gevolg hiervan verminderen de verouderingssymptomen, zoals plooien, een slappe musculatuur en een bleke huidskleur. Het resultaat van een consequent gebruik is dat u er vitaal en gezond uitziet. SKEEN Patch verenigt de werking van Elektrische spierstimulatie (EMS, Electrical Muscle Stimulation)) en de Transcutane ­ via de huid doorgegeven ­ Elektrische NeuroStimulatie (TENS): een microprocessorgestuurd ontspanningsprogramma verzendt via elektroden die op de huid worden gekleefd stroomprikkels met verschillende intensiteit naar de betreffende gebieden. Zowel de huidoppervlakte (epidermis) alsook de dieper gelegen lagen en de musculatuur wordt bereikt. De prikkels van het stimuleringsprogramma zijn niet pijnlijk, zodat u slechts een lichte kriebeling en lichte spiercontracties voelt. De werking van uw SKEEN Patch beantwoordt aan een gymnastische training van de verschillende delen van uw gelaat: in een eerste stimuleringsfase wordt een verstrakkingprogramma uitgevoerd. Daarna volgt een fase voor de opbouw van de spierspanning. Deze gebruiksaanwijzing maakt deel uit van uw apparaat. Bewaar deze gebruiksaanwijzing zorgvuldig, tot op het ogenblik dat u uw SKEEN Patch ofwel samen met deze gebruiksaanwijzing aan een nieuwe eigenaar doorgeeft ofwel tot u uw SKEEN Patch voor recycling afvoert. 3.1 Voor welk gebruik is uw SKEEN Patch geschikt en voor welk niet? Uw SKEEN Patch dient uitsluitend voor privé-gebruik. De SKEEN Patch is niet bestemd voor commercieel of medisch gebruik. De SKEEN Patch is uitsluitend bestemd voor de externe toepassing bij de mens op de stimuleringspunten die in deze gebruiksaanwijzing worden beschreven. De SKEEN Patch is niet bestemd voor gebruik bij kinderen ­ ook niet onder permanent toezicht van volwassenen. 3.2 Voor welke toepassingen is uw SKEEN Patch geschikt en voor welke niet? De SKEEN Patch dient enkel voor het reduceren van verouderingssymptomen van de gezichtshuid. Wij adviseren om vóór gebruik, uw arts, apotheker of fysiotherapeut advies te vragen. 3. Er staat alles in wat u moet weten om uw SKEEN Patch veilig te gebruiken en schade te vermijden. 70 71 3.3 Wanneer mag u uw SKEEN Patch niet gebruiken? Gebruik de SKEEN Patch niet, als u lijdt aan hartproblemen, vooral bij hartritmestoornissen. De stroomprikkels kunnen leiden tot hartkamerfibrillatie en in het ergste geval tot hartstilstand. als u een pacemaker of een ander elektronisch implantaat hebt. De stroomprikkels kunnen de werking van uw implantaat storen. als u lijdt aan epilepsie. De stroomprikkels kunnen in het ergste geval stuipaanvallen veroorzaken. tijdens de zwangerschap. De stroomprikkels kunnen in het ergste geval weeën opwekken. als u lijdt aan allergische huidreacties. Elektroden en pleisters kunnen huidirritatie veroorzaken. als u lijdt aan systemische aandoeningen (die het hele lichaam treffen). als de SKEEN Patch beschadigd is. De stroomprikkels kunnen pijn en huidirritatie veroorzaken. 3.4 Waarmee u verder nog rekening moet houden Laat uw SKEEN Patch nooit in kinderhandjes terechtkomen. Kinderen zouden kleine onderdelen kunnen inslikken en daardoor stikken. 4. Zo beschermt u uw SKEEN Patch De elektronica van uw SKEEN Patch is niet bestand tegen water of vocht. Houd de SKEEN Patch niet onder stromend water, dompel het apparaat niet onder in water of andere vloeistoffen en draag het niet tijdens het zwemmen of in de sauna. Uw SKEEN Patch is gevoelig voor hitte. Stel uw SKEEN Patch niet bloot aan direct zonlicht en leg de SKEEN Patch niet neer op een heet oppervlak. 72 73 5. Zo maakt u uw SKEEN Patch klaar voor gebruik 5.1 SKEEN Patch uitpakken en controleren 1. Neem uw SKEEN Patch uit de verpakking. Bewaart u a.u.b. de originele verpakking, zodat u uw SKEEN Patch in geval van reparatie transportveilig naar onze serviceafdeling kan verzenden. 2. Zo voert u een sessie uit 6.1 Zo gebruikt u uw SKEEN Patch Houd bij uw sessies een minimum afstand aan van 1 m tot microgolf-en korte-golfapparatuur. Elektromagnetische wisselwerkingen kunnen de werking van de SKEEN Patch nadelig beïnvloeden. 1. Verwijder de beschermfolie van de elektrodepleister. 2. Kleef de SKEEN Patch op één van de stimuleringspunten. Kleef de SKEEN Patch enkel op zuivere, droge, gezonde huid die niet met cosmetica en crèmes is behandeld. De SKEEN Patch moet goed op de huid vastzitten. Vervang de elektrodepleister, wanneer het kleefvermogen afneemt. 3. Schakel de SKEEN Patch in: Druk eenmaal op de knop ON+. Het rode Indicatorlampje knippert. mulatie mag geen onaangenaam gevoel of pijn veroorzaken! De stimulatie wordt met de knop ON+ versterkt en met de knop OFF- verzwakt. U kan de stimulatiesterkte in 10 trappen instellen. Druk meermaals op de knop ON+, tot u de sterkste stimulatie hebt bereikt die nog aangenaam aanvoelt. Het indicatorlampje brandt feller bij een sterkere stimulatie. Druk meermaals op de knop OFF-, wanneer u de stimulatie wenst te verzwakken. Het indicatorlampje brandt zwakker bij een zwakkere stimulatie. Uw SKEEN Patch schakelt zich na 15 minuten automatisch uit. Schakel de SKEEN Patch opnieuw in, wanneer u de sessie wenst voort te zetten. Stel de stimulatie zwakekr in of schakel de SKEEN Patch uit, wanneer de werking onaangenaam aanvoelt. 5. Schakel de SKEEN Patch uit na de in paragraaf 6.2 "Stimuleringspunten, duur en frequentie" vermelde aanbevolen toepassingsduur: druk zo vaak op de knop OFF-, tot het Indicatorlampje uitgaat. Verwijder de elektrodepleister enkel in uitgeschakelde stand van de huid. 6. Verwijder de SKEEN Patch van de huid: schuif een vinger onder de pleister en trek de pleister los. Knop ON+ Indicatorlampje Knop OFF4. Stel de stimulering zo sterk in als vermeld in paragraaf 6.2 "Stimuleringspunten, duur en frequentie van de toepassing": de sti78 79 7. Bevochtig de rugzijde van de elektrodepleister links en rechts telkens met een druppel water, zodat de pleister niet uitdroogt. 8. Beëindig de sessie: Breng de beschermfolie aan op de elektrodepleister. Steek de SKEEN Patch in het opberghoesje. Berg de SKEEN Patch op tot de volgende sessie, buiten het bereik van kinderen en beschut tegen zonnestralen. U mag de aangegeven gebruiksduur en gebruiksfrequentie niet overschrijden. De werking wordt daardoor niet versterkt. Wanneer u de SKEEN Patch hebt aangebracht en ingeschakeld, zal u spiercontracties voelen in het gezicht. Deze werking is normaal en gewenst. Positie : verstrakking van de wangen Breng de SKEEN Patch direct achter het uitstekend gedeelte van het jukbeen aan, zodat de patch bijna tot aan de mondhoek reikt: zie afbeelding rechts! Selecteer een hoge stimulering in stand 5 of 6. Stimuleer eenmaal per dag iedere zijde van uw gezicht gedurende 30 minuten. Positie : verstrakking van de kaakhuid, versterking van de kaakmusculatuur Breng de SKEEN Patch zo aan, dat de pleister zich bevindt tussen kaakhoek en bovenwang: zie afbeelding rechts! Selecteer een hoge stimulering in stand 5 of 6. Stimuleer eenmaal per dag iedere zijde van uw gezicht gedurende 15-30 minuten. 6.2 Stimuleringspunten, duur en frequentie van de toepassing Breng de SKEEN Patch enkel aan op stimuleringspunten op de huid, die in dit hoofdstuk worden beschreven. Gebruik het apparaat niet op de oogleden. De stroomprikkels kunnen de ogen beschadigen. niet op het strottenhoofd of de keelholte. De stroomprikkels kunnen leiden tot spierverkramping met verstikking tot gevolg. niet zo, dat de stroom zich rechtstreeks door het hart voortplant (bijv. in de onmiddellijke omgeving van het hart). De stroomprikkels kunnen leiden tot hartkamerfibrillatie en in het ergste geval tot hartstilstand. 80 81 Positie : versterking van de musculatuur van het bovenste ooglid Breng de SKEEN Patch aan tussen slaap en neusvleugel: zie afbeelding rechts! Selecteer een matige stimulering in stand 4 of 5. Stimuleer eenmaal per dag iedere zijde van uw gezicht gedurende 15 minuten. Wanneer u uw SKEEN Patch op alle posities ( , , ) op beide zijden van uw gezicht gebruikt, dan komt de maximale totale gebruiksduur overeen met 2 uur en 30 minuten per dag. 7. Zo reinigt en verzorgt u uw SKEEN Patch 7.1 Reinigen 1. Schakel de SKEEN Patch uit. 2. Reinig het omhulsel met een doek bevochtigd met water. U mag het omhulsel niet reinigen met bijtende of schurende reinigingsmiddelen. De pleister noch het apparaat zelf mogen worden gesteriliseerd in een stoomsterilisator of in een koud desinfecterend bad. 7.2 Pleister vervangen U dient de elektrodepleister te vervangen wanneer deze vuil is of versleten. 1. Schakel de SKEEN Patch uit. 2. Maak de elektrodepleister los van de SKEEN Patch. 3. Bevestig de nieuwe elektrodepleister aan de SKEEN Patch. 82 83 7.3 Batterij vervangen 84 Gevaar voor vergiftiging en verstikking! Probeer niet de batterijen op te laden! Kinderen kunnen batterijen inslikken. Houd daarom batterijen uit de buurt van kinderen. Werp geen batterijen in het vuur. Vervang de batterij, zoals beschreven in het hoofdstuk "Batterij plaatsen". Installeer in de SKEEN Patch enkel een batterij die met de specificaties in het hoofdstuk "Technische gegevens" overeenstemt. Probleem De SKEEN Patch is ingeschakeld, maar functioneert niet. Mogelijke oorzaak De batterij is niet geïnstalleerd. De batterij is leeg. De SKEEN Patch is defect. Oplossing Installeer de batterij. Vervang de batterij. Verstuur uw SKEEN Patch naar onze service-afdeling, zie Service en Garantie. of Voer de SKEEN Patch af voor afvalverwerking, zie Afvalverwerking en bescher-ming van het milieu De stimulering is te zwak. La corriente de estimulación puede provocar dolores e irritaciones en la piel. 3.4 Otras cosas que deben tenerse en cuenta No permita que el SKEEN Patch llegue a manos de los niños. Los niños podrían tragar piezas pequeñas y ahogarse con ellas. 4. Cómo proteger el SKEEN Patch El sistema electrónico del SKEEN Patch no está preparado para resistir la acción de la humedad.
