Parallel Port Users: Do not connect a Clik! Mobile Drive and a Zip® drive together via their passthrough port. See page 7 (step 9), page 9 (Daisy Chaining Parallel Port Devices), and page 43 (Troubleshooting for Parallel Port Connection) in the Clik! Drive User's Manual for more information. Notebook Users: If you are following the software installation steps as outlined in the Clik! Drive User's Manual, notice that "Step 3: Type of Install" indicates the software components that will be installed on your notebook computer. These have changed since the printing of the manual. The default setting under "Notebook" assumes you will be using the Clik! drive with the Clik! PC Card Interface and that you will NOT need the parallel port driver. If you want to use the Clik! Parallel Port Interface with the Clik! Mobile Drive, choose "Custom" and select "Iomega Clik! Parallel Port Driver." PC Card Users: Your Quick Start Card and the Clik! Drive User's Manual depict the Clik! PC Card Adapter and Clik! PC Card Cable as one piece. However, they are two separate pieces that must be connected as illustrated. Windows NT® 4.0 Users: Instructions for setting up the Clik! Mobile Drive with Windows NT 4.0 are not included in the Clik! Drive User's Manual. Before you install hardware or software, please open the NTInstall.wri file found on the Clik! Software CD-ROM and follow the detailed instructions. Clik! Drive Warning: The Clik! Battery must always be attached to the Clik! Mobile Drive. Never operate the Clik! Mobile Drive without the Clik! Battery attached. The Clik! Mobile Drive will be severely damaged if the Clik! Battery is not attached and the Clik! Mobile Drive is set on top of a metal object (such as a Clik! disk, metal ruler, or metal desk). To avoid this possibility, always attach the Clik! Battery to the Clik! Mobile Drive. IomegaWareTM Software Compatibility: The Clik! Mobile Drive does not use the same software (IomegaWareTM Software) that your Zip® or Jaz® drives uses.
