TM J our nal G et Star ted Setup Setup Active Disk Technology: Insert your Journal Zip® disk. If the Journal software does not start automatically: · Double-click the Zip disk icon in My Computer or in Windows Explorer. · Double-click the setup icon (setup or setup.exe) to enable the Active Disk Technology driver. · After the setup, the software automatically starts everytime you insert your disk. · When the installation is finished, click Close; your computer will restart. Start LifeWorksTM Journal software · Wait until Windows operating system has finished loading before reinserting the Journal disk. · Journal will start automatically. · The Journal software and your files always remain on the Zip disk. · To save all changes and close Journal, simply eject the disk. 3 Using LifeWorksTM Journal Software The LifeWorks Journal screen: 1. Add images, voice note, Close mood tracker, inspiration, insert sticker, and search icons. 4 Using LifeWorksTM Journal Software Following is a brief overview of the LifeWorks Journal software. For more detailed information, click the Help icon to view the User's Manual. Begin using LifeWorks Journal: Insert the disk and the software will automatically start. Ejecting the disk automatically saves any changes. When the disk is full, the software will prompt you to make a new disk. Change the appearance of LifeWorks Journal: Click the journal menu, then themes. Select a theme from the list. LifeWorks Journal enables you to: · Edit Journal entries · Insert text, images, and stickers · Modify layout and fonts · Apply themes · Insert a time stamp · Add sound clips · Use the Mood Tracker Tool · Use the Inspiration Tool · Use the Search Tool · Print entries or entire journal · Password protect Add voice recordings to a Journal Click on the voice note icon or select insert, then click voice note. A screen will open that will allow you to make a voice recording that you can add to your Journal. Once you have placed a recording in your Journal, double-click to play it. 5 Using LifeWorksTM Journal Software Add images and stickers Click on the add images icon or select insert, then click pictures to add clip art, scans, or digital camera images. To add a sticker, click the insert sticker icon or select insert, then click stickers to add one of the Journal Stickers. Tools Try one of the Journal tools to create an entry: · Click the inspiration icon in the Tools menu to prod your creativity when you have a case of writer's block. · Click the mood tracker icon insight into your moods. and use it to gain some helpful · Click the search icon or select tools, then click search to find a file by text, date, or sticker.
