jWIN Electronics Corp. ("jWIN") warrants the product to be free from "Defects" in materials under normal use for a period of " One Year " from date of original purchase. The Warranty is " Not " transferable. jWIN agrees, that within the initial "90 Day " period to repair the product if it is determined to be defective at " NO Charge ". It is further agreed that jWIN will cover the cost to repair or replace damaged " PARTS" only for a total period of " One Year " from date of original purchase. The warranty does not cover cosmetic damage, antennas, AC cords, cabinets, headbands, ear-pads, or damage due to line power surges, connection to improper voltage supply or settings, misuse, mishandling, improper application, accident, acts of God, or attempted repair by an unauthorized service agent. To obtain factory service please contact jWIN Electronics for Merchandise Return Authorization (MRA) number by sending a self addressed stamped envelope to the address below. The original purchaser MUST present a sales receipt / proof of purchase indicating date of purchase, amount plaid, and place of purchase. Send the unit pre-paid to the address below in the original packaging or reasonable substitute to prevent damage. You " Must " include your full name shipping address and telephone number and Merchandise Return Authorization ( MRA ) for our reference. No return will be shipped back to a PO BOX. This product utilizes a Class 1 laser to read Compact Discs. This laser Compact Disc Player is equipped with safety switches to avoid exposure when the CD door is open and the safety interlocks are defeated. Invisible laser radiation is present when the CD Player's lid is open and the system's interlock has failed or been defeated. It is very important that you avoid direct exposure to the laser beam at all times. Please do not attempt to defeat or bypass the safety switches. Any use of the controls or an adjustment to the procedures other than those specified herein may result in hazardous radiation. TO REDUCE THE RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK, DO NOT REMOVE COVER ( OR BACK ). THERE ARE NO USER-SERVICEABLE PARTS INSIDE. PLEASE REFER ANY SERVICING TO QUALIFIED SERVICE PERSONEL. PRECAUTIONS Do not open the CD compartment while the CD is rotating. Always keep the CD compartment closed when not in use. Keep all foreign objects out of the CD compartment. If TV or radio interference occurs during operation, move the unit to a different location within the room or building. · Place the unit on a stable surface. A vibration or shock to the unit can cause the CD mechanism to mistrack or skip. If operating the unit under circumstances, which may subject the unit to these conditions, utilize the digital Anti-shock. · Playing some CD's at high volume can cause vibration leading to mistracking. In this case, lower the volume or relocate the speakers further away from the unit. · Avoid installing the unit in the locations described below: · Where it will be in direct contact with water. · Where it will be in direct contact with a magnet. · Places exposed to direct sunlight or close to heat radiating appliances such as electric heaters. · On top of stereo equipment that radiates too much heat. · Places lacking ventilation or dusty places. · Places subject to constant vibration. · Humid or moist places.

You hearing is very important to you and to us so please take care when operating this equipment. It is strongly recommended that you follow the listed guidelines in order to prevent possible damage or loss of hearing:
Over time your hearing will adapt to continuous loud sounds and will give the impression that the volume has in fact been reduced. What seems normal to you may in fact be harmful. To guard against this BEFORE YOUR HEARING ADAPTS set the volume at a low level. Slowly increase the level until you can hear comfortably and clearly and without distortion. Damage to your hearing is accumulative and is irreversible. Any ringing or discomfort in the ears indicates that the volume is too loud. Power adapter (supplied or optionally available) Only use the 4.5V/600mA direct current, positive pole to center pin power adapter. Any other adapter may damage the unit. 1 2 Make sure the local voltage corresponds to the adapter's voltage. Connect the power adapter to the 4.5V DC jack of the player and to the wall outlet.
With this unit you can use: Alkaline batteries (type LR6, UM3 or AA)
Inserting batteries 1. Open the battery compartment and insert 2 alkaline batteries. Follow the polarity as indicated in the battery compartment. Notes: - Old and new or different types of batteries Should not be used in combination. - Remove batteries if they are empty or if the unit will not be used for a long time. Batteries contain chemical substances, so they should be disposed of properly.

Note: Always disconnect the adapter when you are not using it. Line out You can connect the CD player to an additional appliance. E.g. amplifier, radio cassette recorder, etc., with a LINE IN jack. 1 2 3 Turn down the volume on the additional appliance.

TO CD / AUX INPUT
Connect an audio signal cable (not supplied,) to the LINE OUT jack of the CD player and the CD IN, AUX IN or LINE IN jack of the additional appliance. To adjust the sound and volume, use the controls on the connected appliance.
HEADPHONES
Connecting the headphones Connect the supplied headphones into the PHONE (GREEN) socket. Use your head when using headphones Hearing safety: Do not play your headset at a high volume. Hearing experts advise against continuous extended play. If you experience a ringing in your ears, reduce the volume or discontinue use. Traffic safety: Do not use while operating a motorized vehicle. It may create a traffic hazard and it's illegal in may areas. You should use extreme caution or temporarily discontinue use in potentially hazardous situations. Even if your headset is an open-air type designed to let you hear outside sounds, don't turn up the volume so high that you can't hear what's around you.

CHARGING AND USE OF RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES
Rechargeable Battery Operation
This unit can fully recharge the specified rechargeable battery, in approximately 15 hours. The rechargeable batteries (NOT supplied) should be recharged before they are used form the first time because they are low in power or if they have not been used for a long period (over 60 days) 1. Open the battery compartment cover and insert two of the recommended rechargeable batteries, matching polarity. (1.2V 650mA) ALL BATTERIES MUST BE OF RECHARGEABLE NICKEL-CADMIUM TYPE, OTHERWISE THE BATTERIES MAY EXPLODE OR LEAK. 2. Plug in the AC adaptor and set the Recharge switch to ON position to start charging. During charging the RED LED charge indicator will illuminate. USE ONLY THE AC ADAPTOR SUPPLIED WITH THE SET FOR CHARGING. 3. After 15 hours. Please unplug the AC adaptor and switch the Recharge switch to the OFF position. DO NOT CHARGE CONTINUOUSLY FOR 24 HOURS OR MORE. DOING SO CAN CAUSE THE PERFORMANCE OF THE RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES TO DETERIORATE. Note: You may play DISC'S whilst charging the batteries. 4. If the operating time decreases drastically even when the rechargeable nickel-cadmium batteries are properly recharged, purchase a new set of rechargeable nickel-cadmium batteries. 5. When charging for the first time or after a long time, playing time may be reduced. In this case, charge and discharge the batteries several times.
