Designed to work with the 12 volt Auto Pump, the solenoid bleeds the filter bowl when the pump is not running. As soon as the pressure switch turns on the compressor, the solenoid is energized and the bleed is closed. A check valve that is supplied with the Auto Drain kit must be installed as shown to seal off the vehicles air pressure when the bleed valve opens. Install pressure switch on Auto Drain before installing Auto Drain on pump. It may be necessary to slightly rotate solenoid valve to clear pressure switch when installing. AUTO DRAIN WIRING INSTALLATION 1. Install the black sleeving over the solenoid wires 2. Connect the AUTO DRAIN solenoid wires to output terminals of pressure switch. These are the same terminals that supply power to the AUTO PUMP motor 3. The AUTO DRAIN is now properly connected. Test by bleeding system pressure to start AUTO PUMP and note that when pump shuts down, air and moisture will bleed out of drain tube. 4. Position drain tube to direct moisture to exterior of vehicle.
