Bear in mind that battery life expectancy is based upon volume and bass listening levels and if anti-skip circuitry is used. Using the anti-skip feature consumes more power. Maximum battery power consumption happens at maximum settings. Typical life for 2 size AA alkaline batteries is about 8 hours of continuous use. If the set fails to switch tracks, or if it shuts off, your batteries are weak. Replace both batteries, or use the AC Adaptor (or Car Adaptor).
