IMPORTANT SAFETY ADVICE
Before using electrical equipment for the first time, please note all the following general safety advice: Before reading carefully through the following information about safety and proper use, open out the page with the figures and get to know the functions of your glasses and jewellery cleaner. Keep this safety advice in a safe place and if necessary pass it on to third parties. 01) Make sure that the plug is out of the mains socket before you empty the cleaning chamber or refill it with cleaning liquid. 02) Do not use inflammable or poisonous liquids for cleaning. 03) Remove the plug from the mains socket after each use. 04) Never immerse the mains cable, plug or the equipment itself in water- danger of electrocution! 05) Never try to touch the cleaner if it falls into water. Pull out the plug immediately. 06) The equipment is intended only for the cleaning of glasses and jewellery. Other objects should never be placed in the cleaner -danger of fire, electrocution and injury! 07) Children or disabled people should never be left to use the equipment without supervision. 08) The jewellery cleaner must never be used with a damaged mains cable or plug. Equipment that gets damaged or does not work properly must be taken to a service centre for examination and repair. 09) The use of accessories not approved by the manufacturer can lead to injury. 10) Do not allow the cable to hang over table edges or corners and never let it come into contact with hot surfaces. 11) To disconnect the equipment from the mains supply, remove the plug from the socket. 12) Never use your jewellery cleaner for any purpose other than that for which it was intended. 13) Never leave the equipment operating unattended.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Fill the cleaning chamber up to the mark with clean warm water. Add a half teaspoonful of some mild cleaning liquid (e.g. dish washing liquid). Place glasses or jewellery in one or both jewellery baskets . Make sure that you do not overload the baskets. Note: Always place spectacles in the jewellery basket and with the glass upward. Place the jewellery baskets back into the cleaner and close the lid a. Now put the glasses and jewellery cleaner plug into the 230 V supply mains socket. Push the ON/OFF switch to switch on the cleaner (the indicator light shows that the cleaner is ready to operate). You can select between two cleaning speeds. For now, choose speed I. After five or six minutes the cleaning process is complete. Push the ON/OFF switch back 5
into the "0" position. Pull out the plug from the socket. Remove the lid and take out the jewellery baskets . Now pour out the cleaning liquid from the cleaning chamber and immediately refill with clean fresh water. Place the jewellery baskets back into the cleaner. Close the lid on the cleaner and push the plug into the 230 V mains supply socket. Push the ON/OFF switch to switch the cleaner on again for a further minute. This time choose speed II. To bring the cleaning cycle to an end, push the ON/OFF switch into the "0" position. Remove the lid, take out the jewellery and lay it down on a soft fluff-free cloth. Pull out the plug from the socket and pour out the liquid from the cleaning chamber. Clean the cleaning chamber and let the jewellery baskets dry in the air. Always use clean water to ensure the best results from your cleaning. The results achieved for cleaning glasses and jewellery depend on the amount of dirt. Do a test first to determine which cleaning speed suits you the best.
